Anastasia Beach Hotel

We booked this hotel as an all-inclusive family holiday, but unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing. The problems were not isolated incidents, they continued throughout our seven-day stay.

The main issues we experienced were:

• Mould in both rooms when we arrived.
• Sandwiches left unrefrigerated in the rooms on arrival and unsuitable to eat, meaning we had to spend around €40 on food that night.
• Severe noise until around 3am on four out of seven nights, with music loud enough to shake the room and fireworks around 1am. Our 11-year-old became exhausted and emotional due to the lack of sleep.
• Very poor cleanliness in the restaurant, including food left on the floor and tables not being cleared.
• Pool areas regularly covered in used cups, plates and food, with guests having to clear them themselves.
• An apparent electrical safety hazard with exposed wires near the entertainment area, which remained throughout our stay.
• Entertainment poor, not enough chairs, with no additional seating provided when requested.
• An advertised tennis court that was unusable, with overgrown plants and a broken net.
• The kids bed mattress issue was never properly resolved, meaning our daughter slept in our bed for the entire holiday.
• Very poor housekeeping. The second room was not properly cleaned, beds were not consistently made and towels were not changed, despite following the hotel’s procedure.
• A very unpleasant smell around the gym/spa towel area.
• The all-inclusive package felt very poor value, with even bottled water excluded.
• We ended up avoiding the hotel and spending over €350 on food and drinks elsewhere because we were so unhappy with the facilities and food options.

We appreciate that things can occasionally go wrong on holiday, but the sheer number of issues made this not an enjoyable experience from the family holiday we had paid for.

The hotel may have some positives, but based on our experience, we would not return and would not recommend it to other families.

On a positive, the location was good, just a 20 minute walk along the coastline line to Protaras Pier. We did what we could to enjoy our holiday and had fun in Protaras, Fig Tree Bay, a little boat trip via yellowboat and some water sports at Exreme Watersports.

Nice hotel clean and the staff nice and friendly, now my gripe if your facing the shops and you got young children then beware there is a music venue that don't belong to the hotel play very loud music manly Friday Saturday and Sunday that don't finish till around 3am so getting sleep is no chance unless you take sleeping pills
