Where do I start?! We stayed here 3 years ago actually but I could’ve written a book about it at the time which would’ve taken weeks. Apologies to those who’ve been in the meantime and otherwise might not have. So bad that we curtailed our fortnight’s holiday and returned home halfway through - best thing we ever did because we wiped the floor with Jet2 and received sizeable compensation which took us to Cape Verde a couple of months later (much better than a second week at this place)...
One week was way too long, we changed rooms 3 or 4 times. Jet2 downgraded the hotel following our complaint and appear to have ditched it altogether now. The water park was decent back then - a welcome escape for an hour or two - but that was about it. Honestly, it wants bulldozing or at least completely and utterly GUTTING.
I have arrived today, for only 2 days. Hotel looks nice and well locates so i have decides to stay. Pity i cant upload a picture here....
things that i found behind the bathroom door are desgasting. I would not dare to look under the bed. So gross!!! We are in the mids of the pandemic and cleaning is terrible in this hotel. What other disease will i get here?
The hotel is in dire need of a serius renovation. Also, cleanliness is also an issue. To elaborate, if you can't sleep with loud noise then don't book thus hotel...
There is a night club across the street that has loud music until very late and you can feel the base all night. Also, the windos are sigle glass and do nothing for sound insulation. The owners should change the windows at least to mitigate this problem. Also, the air condition was on low and was super noisy. The pillows were at least 10 years old. On the subject cleanliness the hallway floors are carpeted and they are disgusting. Also, the one elevator out of the 2 was out of order and the second one was duscusting. The bathrooms are small and the bathtub is rusty. Overall, as I have said the hotel should do a serius renovation or accept that it is a one star hotel and not a 4 star and finish. We book all inclusive and the food most of the days was poor. We did not expect exceptional but this was far below our lowest expectations. The pools and waterpark was ok. Nothing special, just ok. There are a couple of nice beaches nearby and the entertainment at night was good. Never again tsokkos hotels.
We had the worst experience. The whole place was dirty and the pool wasn't clean. The hygiene was terrible...
The breakfast was poor. Overall it was an awful experience. This establishment is disgusting and shouldn’t be allowed to trade as a hotel.
I'd give 4.5. Best things: location (being at the pool, you may jump into the sea withing a few seconds if you wish/ beautiful beaches and little cosy bays around), friendly bartenders, smiling and helpful staff, good cleaning service, beautiful pools, well kept gardens full of palms and other plants, a wide variety of cocktails, lots of ice cubes given (unlike in many hotels where you have to always ask for more), a supermarket right opposite, a friendly travel agency across the street (where you may find a trip to every part of the island). Not so good things: food - even though generally good, but nothing to shout about, music at the pool - usually the same, noise from the club outside at the weekend - prevented me from sleeping until 4 am...
Well, and they could give you a bottle of water to the room daily. Generally - would recommend absolutely!
