Constantinos the Great Beach Hotel exudes a real sense of style. Its beautiful design is key to that – the hotel is light, airy and modern. From its superbly equipped gym to its glittering swimming pools, every facility is a delight. Looking out from the upper levels over its beautiful, pillared foyer, out over the immaculately presented heart of the hotel, you'll fully appreciate its uniqueness and chic, contemporary style.
Protaras – one of the country's newest resorts and an increasingly popular one– is a stroll away. And Aiya Napa a few minutes by car. Protaras itself is a compact resort, boasting sandy beaches, and wonderful little tavernas and restaurants that are dotted about, just waiting to be discovered.
Welcome to holiday heaven! It may sound like a grand claim, but Constantinos the Great Beach Hotel lives up to the hype.
Constantinos the Great Beach Hotel features a large outside freshwater pool, with extensive terraces – you can while away the days right here in perfect contentment. And if you fancy a change of scene, from here, you can wander down to the smooth sandy beach and take a dip in the enticing sea.
There are plenty of other facilities on offer to keep you amused. Why not enjoy a game of tennis, or even visit the on-site hairdresser for a whole new look? Rooms at Constantinos the Great Beach Hotel are every bit as impressive as you'd expect. The comfortable air conditioned/heated twin or double rooms lead on to a furnished balcony, and provide all the amenities you'll want, including satellite TV, radio, telephone and hairdryer. And yes, you can select a stunning sea view room for a small supplement.
We'd also recommend taking your time over a meal in the restaurant. It's another wonderfully light, bright space, and perfectly conducive to relaxing. And if relaxation is what you're after, then you'll want to make full use of the sauna and steam treatment baths and massage room.
Stays at Constantinos the Great Beach Hotel are wonderfully indulgent affairs. In luxurious surroundings, with the best of food and facilities, you'll be treated to a five star experience – one you'll want to repeat.
This hotel offers 5-star comfort, service and amenities. It is only a short stroll from the centre of Protaras and Ayia Napa is just 15 minutes away. Guest facilities include a large pool with extensive terraces, leading down to a sandy beach.
Great hotel, the location is perfect, right on the beach. Amazing rooms, your paying here for 5 star hotel and you are getting a 5 star price. The breakfast was amazing & also the staff where really friendly...
Would recommend to anyone.
Due to the coronavirus, we were allocated this hotel as our original hotel was closed. It was everything we would expect from a 5 star hotel. The staff were friendly and the rooms comfortable...
The new rules on hygiene were implemented and our stay was enjoyable. The only negative thing was the amount of cats roaming about. We had to eat breakfast inside the dining area as the outside space was full of prowling feral cats scrounging food. Too many of the guests were feeding them at the tables which raises hygiene implications. We have read many articles in the world press about cats carrying covid19 and it being transmitted to humans. The staff seemed to not care about this and they did not explain nor advise those guests not to feed or encourage them. Also on the sunbathing terrace there were again too many cats scrounging food from guests.
Our booked hotel was not ready due to Covid so we were moved to this hotel. It was a really good change! When we entered our room, we colud see the endless water ... wow it's amazing...
The staff is honest, nice, they helped in everything. The hotel is clear, well equiped. They were really aware of Covid and handled the situation very well. The food was enough for an avarage taste.
Our stay did not start in the best of ways. I had called the previous day to see if we could have early check in the lady said as the hotel had a lot of empty room we could arrange this and we agreed that we could check in at 12 noon. We arrived at just before 13.00 and our room was not ready...
We decided to have lunch at the hotel rather than waiting at the lobby. Unfortunately, the lunch was not good and the food tasted bland and like it had been reheated. When we finished the food that we did actually eat we went back to the lobby, but our room was still being cleaned! Anyway, the time was approaching normal check in time of 14.00 when we finally got our room!
Things started to improve from there as our room was nice and spacious with fantastic sea views. A/C worked well, and the bathroom was fine if a bit small. The grounds of the hotel are nice, the swimming pool is ok (did not see any lifeguard present) and the beach were the hotel is situated is fantastic. Have in mind that contrary to what the lady at the spa told us (twice) the beach beds on the sand are not free for guests of the hotel as they are run by the municipality… (Thankfully had some cash on me to save the embarrassment. Euro 2.50 per item; bed, umbrella etc.). The peculiar thing about our stay was the categorization of the hotel. The hotel prides itself as being 5 stars (logos, signs, towels, stickers all feature 5 stars) but it did not go the extra mile as 5 start hotels do. However, the price of the hotel reflects a 4 star hotel! Let me explain; In Cyprus, in top hotels that we have stayed, the Le Meridien and 4 seasons of this world the prices start upwards of Euro 400 per room per night for a sea view room for 2 people for summer peak season. 4 star hotels such as Lordos beach hotel in Larnaca are below or around the Euro 200 area. Cosntandinos the Great was under Euro 200 but says it’s a 5 star so something has to give. Although it did the basics well, like a 4 star hotel would do it did not really go the extra mile of a 5 star hotel. Examples of this was the food (lunch especially was below par, breakfast and dinner were ok) lack of extra towels in the rooms, tv was smallish, no satellite tv (only local tv available) and some wear and tear in the room.
If the hotel was advertised as 4-star hotel (their prices reflect 4 star prices) I would have been more understanding and my expectations before visiting would have been lower. As they advertise 5 stars though, there is some work to do. Our Room was not cleaned by lunch but we informed reception of this and by the time we finished our lunch (outside of the hotel) it was cleaned. 3 tips regarding the room. On the left side of the hotel a big building is being built, possibly another hotel and it can get a bit noisy. If on the left side of the hotel on a side sea view room may be an issue. When you lock your room door, every 10 minutes or so there is beep sound and a flash of blue and red light coming from the lock… I asked reception about this and apparently it’s because the door moves with air or people outside and its a security thing. Was advised to just close the door and not lock (!). Worked perfectly like that (still safe). Lastly minibar was empty so we used as a fridge. Problem was the fridge was very hot outside and not very cold inside. Problem solved by leaving the actual cupboard door open and the fridge cooled down considerably!
Special mention to the young man that works at Kohili beach bar, Frappe and Mohito were great and a good sense of humor to go with!
All in all, if you are looking for a good beach experience in Protaras with great views (sea view room) it ticks the right boxes.
Just don’t go looking for the extra touch that a top 5-star hotel has.
We would come back if the price range remains the same as we would treat it as a solid 4 star hotel and visit accordingly!
We were supposed to be in Chrysomare in Ayia Napa and they moved us to this hotel in Protaras. We had a partly sea view and the view was absolutely fantastic, the room was big and cleaned every day, sunbeds at the pool were very comfy. What we liked the most was the stuff, they all were very friendly and willing to do anything to help us...
We had an all inclusive premium but shame we could not enjoy it in full because of corona (more restaurants to choose, introduction diving lesson, spa, inside pool, sauna, jacuzzi, steam bath), maybe next time :) wifi was free for us and safe box too.
