Just back from a wonderful week at the Constantinos Beach hotel, we had a family room as we needed space as my sister is disabled and uses a mobility scooter , the room was spotless and cleaned everyday, the food was very tasty and lots of choice, staff were wonderfull and very caring towards my sister,
Anelia & Andreas absolutely wonderfull people , really looked after us and genuinely cared about my sister's mobility needs , nothing was too much trouble,
Adele in the Spa was an absolute treasure, really kind genuine lady , helping my sister with the best route into the spa as she cannot do stairs, she was truly wonderful and a total asset to the hotel,
Location is great, room service is fast and everything is reasonably priced
Thank you for a great stay, we will be back
Having been to stay at the hotel on three previous occasions my parents invited us on holiday with them so we could experience the great hotel they had. However, we all came away feeling disappointed due to numerous factors. The predominant one for myself was the appalling attitude of some members of the staff, including the general manager...
I approached the receptionist one day as my daughters clean bedding was bloodstained (this happened twice during our stay, please see attached photos). Rather than apologise and advise me the bedding would be changed, as any customer service trained member of staff should, the receptionist argued with me that the stain would be chocolate! This then escalated with the manager agreeing it would be chocolate and telling me he isn't interested in my comments as he has enough good ones and he would rather not have Jet 2 customers staying at the hotel as they just complain. However, after speaking to other Jet 2 customers it would appear that we all had similar issues with the hotel, neither of us felt we were being delivered the four star service that we had paid four star price for! Please see list below of what to expect:-
Cold food, however this issue was rectified after speaking directly to a Jet 2 rep as none of the hotel staff wished to take accountability for our complaint. Hopefully the improvements are still in place.
Poor standards of cleaning in your room and around the pool area, dirty sunbeds and on the last day we even got cigarette butt's in the pool, as the pool opened that morning!
Al carte restaurants, when open, re heating food cooked earlier in the day.
Broken steps in the pool, reported three days in a row by different guests, finally removed from the pool when a guest fell off them.
A lovely green scum mark around the edge of pool along with mouldy grout and the odd broken tile.
Filthy hallway carpets.
Lots of rude staff, however there is a handful of excellent, friendly, welcoming staff. These are Paul and Andreas in the pool side snack bar. Staff members who serve at the lobby bar. A couple of the receptionists (the others are just rude) and then the lovely staff who man the spa/gym, in particular the lady from England (really sorry I didn't catch her name).
Luckily regardless of our poor experience at the hotel, it didn't completely ruin our holiday as the rest of the lovely Cyprus made up for it!
We arrived at the hotel at 3:30 am after a 21-hour long connection flight from Seattle through London to Larnaca, Cyprus. We slept for three hours and were up and at breakfast at 7:00 am.
We were very satisfied with our 10 day stay here. We had great breakfast and dinner meals...
We enjoyed getting up at 5 am and going on long walks on the boardwalk that goes right alongside the hotel.
We went on 3 different excursions while in Cyprus and our last one was our favorite. We took what they referred to as the "Golden Ring" tour. It was topped off by a trip to the spot that for thousands of years has been accepted as the birthplace of Aphrodite.
When we returned back to our hotel we waited in our room for a person the tour rep arranged for us to meet with who administered our PCR tests right there in our room. We had our results about 9 hours later.
We never got to go in the hotel pool. We did go swimming in the Mediterranian Sea a number of times. The beach is very nice. When swimming we learned there were places out in the water to stay clear of. There are rocks that you can get hurt on if you don't know what you are doing. You can be walking with water up to your chest and take one more step and drop down a couple of feet. You can see these rocks as dark areas. The water is very clear and you can see those dark areas from the beach or when you are there in the water.
It could have been just when we were there, but the water was warm. You didn't have to get used to it, you just went in. The water was relatively calm each day we went in. There were no waves to speak of. I took a mask and snorkle and explored the rocks out there and it was interesting. There were many small fish to see.
When we were swimming at the birthplace of Aphrodite there were waves. Also there was a lot of seaweed material in the water at that spot, you had to walk over uncomfortable rocky versus sand surfaces to get to the water. It wasn't the most enjoyable experience from my point of view. However, it is a legendary place so we went in anyway. From the viewpoint just above the beach, it is really beautiful.
We had the pleasure of having lunch and frappe at the CTG and can only wax lyrical about the hotel and the staff members. Although we stayed at its sister hotel we were treated to a five star experience for lunch and our drinks visits. The manager Mr Christos truly cares about his guests and his staff and this shows by the number of repeat guests who come back year after year...
The hotel is sparklingly clean with a truly enviable position on the beach with food to die for ...if you are thinking of booking then go for it. Simply the best !! Thank you
I’m a meathead and going to the gym is important to me. Adele the gym receptionist and Rugile the towel lady were fantastic, they were friendly and helpful and were always willing to chat about things to do and see in Protaras. Would definitely recommend the gym, it’s not a world class gym by any stretch of the imagination but enough to get you by!
