The hotel is located far enough from either of the two airports, so you have to rent a car. Parking is free for residents. Before covid-19, the hotel was probably very good. Now "they are trying"...
The rooms are cleaned well. The food is tasteless. The service in restaurants and in the bar is very Greek, which means they trying to be nice but you will wait for food for a very long time. One day we waited for lunch for almost an hour and a half.
You can book breakfast, half board, or full board. My advice is not to take a half board or full board.
The beach is beautiful, but a very steep staircase leads to it. I have bad knees and it was a problem for me every day. if there was a warning, I would not have booked this hotel.
Don’t expect some luxury. This is solid hotel with modest furniture but very nice pool, service and staff.
Rooms are clean and comfortable...
Nice view. It doesn’t have its own but public beach which is nice. It’s not walking distance but you may use free shuttle bus each 45 minutes.
The best think about this hotel is view and the bar on the pool. If you want 3-4 days to have a mixture of business and rest this is good choice. If you go to Cyprus to have a holiday, with family, check other hotels.
Portaras is nice place for 2-3 days stay.
We have stayed at this hotel many times but we do feel now that the hotel is looking dated and some parts of it are tired looking. By far this hotel has the best location in Cyprus perched above Konnos bay and nestled in the cape Greco national park. I wouldn’t say it’s a 5 star hotel anymore but the prices are 5 star...
The swimming pool I found to be dirty , it’s in need of a good scrub. There’s nothing to do at night around there so if you want some nightlife you have to go else where like protaras or Ayia Napa which are tacky now unfortunately. Steps going down to the beach are in serious need of repair and there should be a warning at the top and bottom of the stairs about how many steps there are. Some of the staff are polite some can’t be bothered.
Attended a family wedding last week with sheer disappointment. The room and view were beautiful but that was all that was beautiful. The service for a 5 star hotel and reputation does not deserve a star rating...
The bar was not stocked with alcohol nor a bartender. As guest we were serving drinks to the guests and ourselves. No beer, no soda or no chance for anything more then a basic mixed drink. The wine and water on the tables were warm. No refills when the bottle was empty. Mixed drinks could be purchased for additional fee. The manager was less than caring when approached. Think twice before planning your wedding event here.
its been 2 years since our last visit to the Grecian Park Hotel , arrived friendly staff ...allocated room all ok clean and all amities working fine Covid awareness on our 2 weeks stay staff with face masks on plus guests wearing the masks whilst in the hotels confines. We was half board for our duration the staff restaurant area looked after us very well although we know some of them from recent visits they are always helpful nothing too much trouble to do. Although I don't normally have a gripe over the à la carte evening dinner but several occasions the food arrived "cold" (it seemed more at seat service on the evening meal than self service this year). Having a polite word with the head waiter he exchanged our meals for a piping hot one with much apologies ... although not a real gripe but the second course the soup fare was some nights was luke warm, im unsure if some nights the Grecian was short staffed ?. Back to the positive side everything else was per expectation with thanks to Antonia in the restaurant ever helpful and informative We return next year april for two weeks all been well Paul - Ann
