We had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed our time here with our one-and-a-half-year-old son. He absolutely loved the pool, the sea, and all the activities for children. The food was also really nice, with plenty of options for the whole family.
One thing we especially loved was that there were lots of toys around the hotel. As every parent knows, kids always seem to want to play with someone else’s toys! 😄 It was such a nice touch and kept our little one entertained throughout the day.
The children’s entertainment was excellent, especially the mini disco every evening. Our son had so much fun! The playground was also really nice and definitely a big plus for families with young children.
A special thank you to Muhamed at reception, who was always helpful, friendly, and happy to assist us whenever we needed something.
George, the barman, was also always polite, pleasant, and welcoming, just like the rest of the staff.
And a very special thank you to Rosa from housekeeping. Without us even having to ask, she would clean our room after we went out in the morning and again before our baby’s nap in the afternoon. This meant so much to us as parents and made our stay much easier and more comfortable. She was always incredibly pleasant, kind, and smiling, and our little one really liked her. ❤️
Overall, we had a great family holiday and would be very happy to come back. A big thank you to the whole team for making our stay so enjoyable!
Omg, what can I say, it's heaven on earth, I loved it from the room to the food and drinks and staff and no snobbery whatsoever been to hotels with a dress code, whilst it's hot why dress up and why should they make us, love, love, love this place and deffo go back, funds allowing gutted I couldn't claim squatters rights lol 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
We had a fantastic holiday at Althea Beach Hotel. This hotel is a little gem. All the staff were brilliant and couldn’t do enough for you and always with a welcome smile! We arrived after 3am and the hotel had left us some sandwiches, fruit and a bottle of wine, orange juice and water in the fridge which was very kind (we stayed all inclusive) They also made us a packed lunch when we went out on a trip which was great. We thoroughly enjoyed the food every day. It was so tasty. It’s in a great location with a lovely little beach just outside. We had a fab trip and hope to return again soon. This is an absolutely lovely hotel. Small but charming. The staff are lovely and friendly and the position close to the beach makes it great for swimming and snorkelling. The food was always good, lots of choices and always refreshed quickly. It is quite a laidback place, no exciting nightlife but we prefer that. There was a nice mix of age groups and nationalities. We have just come back ( late September) and there were a lot of young families with a lot of young kids. Nice to see! If you want a chilled relaxing and very pleasant holiday, I absolutely recommend this place. Our room ( a top floor 1 bed apartment) was always well cleaned and very comfortable, maybe a little dated but no issues.

Main pool is lovely - can usually find a sunbed whatever time you go. Didn't try the top pool. There are sunbeds just opposite the beach too which is on a grassy area - only got a bed one day as I preferred the pool area. It is literally a stones throw away from a tiny little beach which is nice to go for a change. If you want bigger beaches with more going on, then turn right and walk along the path to Protaras, which is a good 45min walk, which has beaches on the way as well as the lovely Fig Tree Bay once you get there. You can also catch the bus into Protaras (the 102, and the 101 back to the hotel) which is about 5-7 mins away and 2 euro cash. Food was beautiful - I cannot understand any negative reviews. The only gripe was the pool snack bar - all-inclusive was only open from 11:00-12:30 then closed until 15:00-17:30, but if you wanted to pay, you could have burgers/pizzas from 12:00 til about 16:00. I think there should be more availability for snacks by the pool as not everyone wants to get dressed and go for their lunch in the main restaurant. The snacks they did do were lovely mind - fresh sandwiches and salads with desserts and fruit pots, with chicken nuggets and chips and waffles in the afternoon. The pool bar was decent too. Rooms were spacious but a little bit dated - didn't bother me in the slightest as it was clean - the maids came in every day to replace towels, make beds up and empty bins. We had a ground floor room and it was right near the pool so I was happy with that choice as there was only 1 pool toilet for ladies. Staff are lovely and helpful - yeah there's the odd misery, but there's also some horrible guests. Entertainment was not great - activities throughout the day were fine but night time was poor - I mean they tried their best (there were only 3 girls when we went). It didn't really bother us as we wandered up the road to the bars a few nights. Hotel is situated in an ideal location - few supermarkets and restaurants very close by, and there was a little strip of bars/restaurants a five minute walk away. Everyone tended to congregate in Windmills Bar on the corner as it had live music on every night, but not til 22:00. We preferred Blackadder over the road as the manager Kyle was lovely, and they had football on too. Fresh House is a good shout for food too. Would return to this area, and maybe even this hotel, but we do like to try new things. I would recommend it though.
