Delve deeper into the heartland of this beautiful island by adding on our mini-tour which includes a cookery experience, a visit to a wine village, the Troodos mountains, UNESCO churches and museums.

Drive to Agios Georgios Silikou village to enjoy a cookery experience. In this village, we will meet a local villager who is going to show us how the traditional bread – Olive and Halloumi pies are made. You will get the chance to make and bake the bread and pies using a traditional oven. Giving you an authentic experience with the locals. Tasting of bread and pies, as well as a coffee, is included. Then, continue our trip to visit the Mandria village for some tea herb tasting. In the afternoon, you will visit Omodos Wine Village, located on the Troodos Mountain range. Famous for its wine, Zivania spirit, handmade narrow-knit lacing, and ‘arkatena’ bread, its quaint environs are perfect for agrotourism. Later, return to your hotel for an evening at leisure.
Your day will start with a visit to Panagia Assinou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that contains some of the finest Byzantine wall paintings on the island, dating from the 12th to the 17th century. You will then drive to Kakopetria where you will explore two of the four painted churches; Panagia Church and Archangelos Michael Church. Enjoy a walking tour of Kakopetria Village. This beautiful village is a popular summer resort, thanks to its charming character and breath-taking scenery of pine forests that stretch across the Karkotis Valley. Take in the views whilst enjoying lunch at a local tavern before a final visit to Agios Nikolaos tis Stegis Church (please note the church is closed on Mondays). Transfer to Platres, where you will enjoy the rest of your evening at leisure.
Visit Lefkara Village, a mountainous village world-renowned for its traditional handicrafts of lace embroidery and filigree silver. The crafts of lace and silver have been practiced in the village since Venetian times, and visitors can learn all about them. The character of the village is very picturesque with its narrow, winding streets and traditional architecture of old, terracotta-roofed houses. Then, visit Petros Museum House, this traditional excursion combines preparing and sampling appetizing and flavoursome dishes with learning the skillful craft of basket weaving. Visit the enchanting village of choirokoitia and explore the picturesque alleyways on the route to the traditional agricultural home of a friendly local family where you will meet Petros, a talented chef specializing in classic Cypriot cuisine. Followed by a transfer to your next hotel.
