Below average, not satisfying

Review by adamkE4702IG Warsaw, Poland
  1. Building - definitely needs some renovtion. If you want to feel like in 90s - you'll enjoy it. 2...

Rooms - very, very dirty. We've found some fingernails and earbuds under the bed. Housekeeping does not exist - in terms of cleaning the rooms (those fingersnails and earbuds stayed with us for an entire week). We also had some ants in the room. Have I already said the rooms are very, very dirty? Plus we had A LOT of dust. 3. The welcome "dinner" (ham sandwich) we haven't eat stayed at the corridor for 4 days. 4. Slovak bartenders were very polite and friendly and that's why you receive 2 stars instead of one. 5. Food - very poor vegetarian options, same breakfast and lunch everyday. Food in geenral was below the average, smetimes it was good.

If hotel management reads that review - please consider changing your attitude towards your guests, because as for me - there's no mangement at all.

People saying that this hotel is 5 STARS have never been into a good hotel - if not because of the view, I would give it a one star.

Great hotel but vile food & poor staff

The actual hotel is lovely. Rooms are of a high standard and it has a private pebble beach a short walk away. The only issues with this hotel are the rude staff and disgusting food...

The drinks are fine but the food is very very bad. I survived on chips and bread rolls most of the week through the day then opted to eat out most nights. I thought I was just being picky until I saw several other guests walking past with plates full of chips and bread rolls too.. it’s seems it’s the only thing edible on the menu which is really bad for an all inclusive package. The majority of the staff just seem to hate people and go out of their way to be as rude and arrogant as possible. I gave up smiling at them after day 4 when I was met with scowls each time. Hotel itself would be spot on if they sorted the food out and had all the staff take an attitude test.

Late summer holiday

The 2 of us had a fantastic week here, much better than expected from previous reviews I had read. The Staff were extremely helpfull and efficient. Food was very good, with a wide selection to choose from at each meal and well varied every night...

The inside bar was reasonably priced with a wide selection of drinks and cocktails. The two bar staff (lady and man) who looked after us each evening went above and beyond making sure everyone was served quickly and tables were clean. The room was basic but clean and as expected for a 4* Hotel. We had amazing weather (Mid October) hitting 27° daily. Good local bars and resturants 5min walk away. Excellent car hire place next door and quirky beach bar (sea you) just up the road. Local busses are cheap and consistent with a bus stop at the top of the road. (Brilliant €3 trip from the airport) And handy to explore the local beaches coral bay and corallia as well as Paffos and the much recommended water park! Lots to do in the troodos mountains from hiking, waterfalls and lovely tavernas if you can manage more food after the hotel buffet! Although a car is needed for this.

A fun week at a reasonable price. Thankyou team Ascos

Review by Noah p London, United Kingdom

Arrived 11pm was given a sandwich and an apple went to room was very clean and tidy great view of the pool and sea.bar was open til 12.breakfast was a selection of full English or cold meats and salads cereal etc very nice.pool is nice.lunch was great also so much choice waitress to get drinks at lunch.pool bar has a variety of drinks the barman was nice and was alone but coped well.evening meal is quite a serious atmosphere great selection of food but found staff very unfriendly no1 smiles. Also hotel was full of polish found it very boring no atmosphere no reps no entertainment in day no information given.karaoke and bingo every night so we ventured to the bar street 10 min walk was better entertainment and atmosphere.never saw a jet2 rep once so we booked out boat trip via avitour 17 euros to blue lagoon.taxi 30 euros each way to latchi Harbour.rooms are cleaned daily fresh towels but didn't change beds.all in all I feel hotel needs a refurb and was a 3 star not 4.also very difficult to get to the beach very rocky so we didn't use it incase of an accident.20 minute walk to a beach 7.50 euros for a sunlounger.i will give hotel a 5 out of 10 due to all the mardy staff a smile costs nothing even a good morning 🙏

Ascos coral beach hotel

October 2021

Out of 5* i would give this hotel 3.5*

Overall i had a lovely holiday, the weather was lovely. Great location of the hotel, plenty of bars and restaurants 5 minutes walk away. Beach just 10 minutes down the road , great beach! Very accessible to Paphos centre, via buses that run every 10 minutes or taxi...

I went all inclusive on this holiday, really disappointed with the food, very basic and bland, not much choice of food. Drinks were great, also tea and coffee available. The rooms were clean, unfortunately i noticed there wasn’t many staff at all, some nights id go back at 5pm and still no one had been in to clean and change the towels. The pool area genuinely clean, unfortunately again lots of sun-bed broken and left, chipped pool side, pool guttering could of done with a deep clean. Pool toilet very run down, lots of rust and limescale around the stinks. Overall needs a good Maintence in the whole hotel, such a shame because its a great location. I know due to covid staffing issues are a problem but i could count on my fingers how many staff they were. Things i noticed such as left glasses, plates etc on tables over night, bins in the toilets were over following. And for entertainment, the same every night bingo and karaoke, also this was so loud my room was on the other side of the building and i could hear it. Lucky i did go out to eat, i wish i went half board. Generally okay holiday, not overly priced but i would not return to this hotel. Love Paphos would return just to a nicer hotel.
