Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We went as a family of 10 with 4 kids under 8. Rooms and pools were fantastic. No fighting for sun loungers even though it was half term. Kids loved the crepes and ice cream. All the food was fresh although more variety each evening would have been good.
Loved the fact it was genuine all inclusive - no extra cost for certain cocktails etc.
We had some family photos taken and they were actually very good value.
The thing that would stop me coming back is the mosquitoes. From 9pm they were unbearable - we would often go back to our rooms at this time as it wasn’t comfortable to sit constantly swatting them away. In other resorts we have stayed in the hotels have sprayed and provided citronella candles etc but I appreciate this doesn’t align with the eco credentials.
We had a fantastic family stay at Grecotel Costa Botanica and would happily recommend it to families looking for a relaxed, well-run resort in Corfu.
The first thing that really stood out was how beautifully maintained the whole hotel was. The grounds, pool areas and communal spaces were all extremely well kept. The resort itself was very peaceful and never felt overcrowded, but there was still a great lively atmosphere around the bars and pools, so it never felt flat or too quiet.
The staff were exceptional throughout our stay. Everyone we met was warm, friendly and genuinely welcoming. The lifeguards deserve a special mention because they were incredibly engaging with both adults and children and really added to the atmosphere around the pools. They are a huge asset to the hotel.
Our room was kept immaculately clean every day, and the housekeeping team were always cheerful and friendly. We stayed in a Summerhouse Bungalow and found the space perfect for our family of four. Having access to two showers was also a surprisingly useful bonus and made getting everyone ready in the evenings so much quicker and easier.
We also enjoyed the food across the resort, with plenty of choice throughout the week. Asiana was a particular highlight for us and somewhere we would definitely recommend trying if you get the opportunity.
For families, the pool areas are excellent. We spent most of our time at the Palm Pool because it worked particularly well for us, with a good restaurant nearby, a bar and sun lounger service. The Aqua Park was naturally a big hit with the children too. If you are travelling with younger children, it is worth knowing that the Palm Pool currently offers a more complete food and drink service, so it would be great to see the Aqua Park offer a similar level of service in future.
The All Day Beach Club was another highlight and became one of our favourite stops during the day. It was perfect for grabbing an ice cream or freshly made crêpe with the children, while the grown ups could enjoy a drink and take in the relaxed beachside atmosphere.
We also thought the location worked really well for the type of holiday we wanted. The beach area is lovely and there is a small village nearby, which gives you the option to wander out without needing to travel far. For more sightseeing and activities you do need to go a little further, but we actually enjoyed mixing time in the resort with a few days out. We took the opportunity to travel by boat to Corfu Town, which was a great experience, and also explored some of the other islands during our stay. For us, that balance was perfect. If you are someone who likes to be out exploring somewhere different every day, there may be more convenient locations, but for a resort-based family holiday with some excellent day trips mixed in, it worked very well.
We also felt the holiday offered excellent value for money. The number of experiences and facilities included within the resort made a real difference and meant there was always plenty to do without constantly having to spend extra. That was a big part of what made the overall holiday feel such good value.
Overall, Costa Botanica gave us exactly what we wanted from a family holiday: a beautiful resort, excellent facilities, friendly staff, good food, great value and plenty for the children to enjoy. We left with some brilliant family memories and would definitely consider returning.
The staf was amaizing , they were so helpful and kind , loved the girls at the reception , bartenders and waitress at the main pool. The room was so clean and enought big. Food was amaizing. I really recomend this place
We had a wonderful stay at Grecotel LUXME Costa Botanica in Corfu. The resort itself is beautiful, but one of the absolute highlights of our trip was the wine tasting with Georgia, the sommelier.
In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we went to the wine tasting twice! Largely because of Georgia. She is incredibly knowledgeable about wine, but what really sets her apart is the way she shares that knowledge. She is passionate, engaging and genuinely enthusiastic, without ever making the experience feel overly formal or intimidating.
Georgia has a fantastic ability to explain wines, their characteristics and the stories behind them in a way that is both interesting and accessible. You can tell that wine is a real passion for her, and that passion is contagious. She also has a natural talent for guest experience: she makes you feel welcome, takes the time to answer questions and creates an experience that feels personal rather than like a standard hotel activity.
The fact that we came back for a second tasting says quite a lot about how much we enjoyed it. Georgia made sure we had a personal experience with different wines to try. Georgia is a real asset to the hotel and deserves special recognition for her professionalism, expertise and personality.
As for the resort itself, we really enjoyed the atmosphere and the facilities. The buffet food was somewhat mediocre for a resort of this level, although the à la carte restaurants were considerably better. So I would suggest to make reservations for those resutalts instead of using the regular buffet.
If you are staying at Costa Botanica, I would absolutely recommend joining one of her tastings and if you enjoy wine, don't be surprised if you end up going twice like we did!
loved that place the food was so good the staf was so friendly and the room was so clean from Vera and Vasilika . The price and the quality was insane, and the atmosphere was lovely. To not forget the aquapark where the safety was the priority. Loved everything
