Aeolos Beach

I spent 5 nights and 4 wonderful days here with my bf! We had an amazing time. We had a lovely room with an amazing view of the sea and mountains that looked out over the lagoon pool. We didn’t try the other pool near the main restaurant but the lagoon pool was chill and we went for a morning swim each morning.

The food was great each day there was a different selection. The self serve wine was a plus. The highlight was the meal at the beach restaurant where we got numerous courses served to us. Book this fast as we could only book on the last night of our trip due to availability and we booked this as soon as we arrived.

Finally, the cats!! There were so many lovely cats around the resort. Near the lagoon pool there is a black mama with her kittens. I became quite attached to a lovely little cat down by the beach. This cat was the cuddliest cat I have ever come across! Each day we had a cuddle and he would get up on my lap of his own accord. He even came and said goodbye whilst we were waiting for our transfers. Was very sad to leave this lovely cat behind so if anyone sees him on their travels please give him a great big hug for me!! I have attached a picture of him!

Amazing few days!!

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. Room was immaculate and was cleaned every day. The food in the buffet restaurant was not that great. The staff were amazing and worked very hard. The hotel is immaculately clean and tidy. The golf  buggy is great for getting you to and from your room. Never had to wait long for one. There are plenty of sun loungers on the beach.  We did us the lagoon pool, which was nice. It was very annoying that people were putting towels out at dawn. Not to be seen using them until the afternoon in some cases. This needs to be addressed. 
The staff make this hotel a joy to be at, nothing too much trouble. 
The entertainment team was second to none along with the acts that came on. The highlight is the Thursday beach party. An actual stage set up, lights and singers. Not to be missed.

Don't hesitate book this hotel

I don't want to give a negative review, but I'm just going to give an honest review. I was so looking forward to staying at this hotel after reading all the reviews, however this quickly changed after we arrived. I totally accept that check in wasn't until 15:00, we arrived about 13:00 and asked if our rooms where ready, he said no which was totally fine. We left our luggage, however this was unsecured and anyone could have taken your luggage. Finally we got our rooms at 15:15, we booked x2 Bungelows, the rooms we got where allocated in the main building on the 1st floor, when we got to the rooms I couldn't believe these had been sold, I've seen better looking hostels, we went back to reception and was shocked to be told that these had been upgraded. We where given x2 rooms over looking the infinity pool, these rooms are much better, however I wouldn't be selling these as Bungelows, a bungalow to me is a single stand alone property, not in a main building surrounded by other rooms. The hotel does have buggy service, but in my opinion with so many people cheking in, as well as being the buiest time of year only having two of these doesnt work and people waiting around for more than 20 minures. The hotel is in a gorgeous area, with spectacular views, the food is also very nice. I've been to many 4 and 5 star hotels and unfortunately I wouldn't class this as a 4* hotel it has alot of things to work on to reach that standard and it's also the little things which this hotel lacks. The aircon was another issue, it just wasn't powerful for hot weather. The lack of toilets around the hotel especially around the pool and reception areas was also bad. I often found the reception staff very rude, the concierge staff so helpful and couldn't do enough for you, I would highly recommend booking trips through them, the girls found my reading glasses after I left them. The hotel does have elements that are really nice and with some investment it could be lovely resort. Corfu is a wonderful place and I will return, sadly I wouldn't personally return to this hotel.

Good but could be so much more

Arrived at this hotel very early afternoon however there is no 'wow' factor in the reception but the grounds do look lovely.
We had to wait a few hours whilst our room was made up and we were able to leave our cases (in an open room, not in view of reception, next to the shop and toilets - anyone can walk in and out!).
We booked a bungalow room and when our room was ready we were not told by reception where to go! We found our room in the main building and the room was a dark blue, very little light and certainly not a bungalow. It seemed to be were the staff have rooms as next door to us was a room filled with staff laughing and running up and down.  
We told reception and we were told 'this is an upgraded room', this was far from an upgrade. However reception sorted the issue and changed us back to our original booking of a bungalow. It's strange that this exact situation happend to another couple we met and they said the same as us! 
We were took up to our room but the bell boy didn't know where the room was so we were wondering around the block around 10 minutes to be eventually shown our room. This however, was not a bungalow it's a two story block.   The room was dated and not would I would say as a 4 star. 
The air con is quite poor so if it's hot, your room won't be as cool.  
There was a power cut and I totally appreciate this cannot be helped however as the doors are electronic we could not get back in our room, which was strange as all other guests in our block could but our door light was off and could not get access. We used a friends room phone to call reception and they said they would send someone up - we waited 30 minutes and no one turned up. We went to reception and I explained to the staff we cannot access our room and we were told "guess why...there is a power cut...", I explained that other guests in our block could access our room and the response was "they are lucky"!!!! Absolutely no empathey. 

The food is lovely and the conceriage staff are amazing.  
Reception staff I found to quite arrogant and everything was a problem (even asking how to book a taxi)
The air-conditioning around the hotel is poor but we found out that a member of staff has said they have a broken generator which they haven't replaced.
We booked an al a carte restaurant for our final night via the app and confirmed with the concierge but when we arrived at the restaurant we were told there was no booking - I shown the app to confirm the reservation and the lady at the restaurant said she has no such reservation but there was a spare table.
 
This hotel has so much potential but it's so dated.  The buggies are few and far between.
Be very careful what room you book as what you get is very different. The main restaurant gets extremely busy and there are not enough seats for the amount of guests. 

I'll not be returning to this hotel. 


It's basic....

The views from the resort are incredible and the resort is beautiful as in the grounds/outdoors however that's when it stops the reception area is really dated and dark along with the indoor bar. The first room we got was in the main building and it was terrible, dark and small and that was suppose to be an upgraded room, after informing the reception we did get moved to another room. Which was nice but definitely not a four star extremely dated. The food is lovely but the restaurant gets very busy and it's hard to find a table and is really warm/hot the alcoholic drinks are ok.
This place could be amazing but unfortunately it does need  some work done especially the reception area. The air-conditioning is really bad. Unfortunately this hotel was not for me and I am pleased I only stopped 5 days. ( maybe we just got a very old room). 

Needs works
