Just returned from a very pleasant 10 night stay at this lovely hotel. We had a room on the second floor of the main building and although the balcony was small we did have a sea view in the distance. The room was tastefully furnished and had everything you could want...
Plus points- The relaxing ambiance of the hotel Good selection, quality and variation of food both in the restaurant and pool bar Friendly and hardworking staff especially Zoe and George
Slight negative points for us- The cats! Don’t really understand why guests feed cats whilst having their own meals and on occasions we ate inside the restaurant despite the heat as the constant milling around of the cats left me on edge. WIFI very patchy
The hotel has worked hard to put COVID measures in place, however on several occasions guests not wearing gloves or masks in the restaurant went unchallenged. In many cases this was just because guests were unaware of the protocol, it may be useful if the reception staff advise guests of the requirements on check in , and if there were signs in the restaurant to this effect.
Overall we had a great and would return in the future
This hotel is honestly beautiful. Stayed for 7 nights in a superior twin room, which was really spacious, tastefully furnished and had a massive balcony to relax on. The pool is wonderful; surrounded by palm trees, there were plenty of padded sun loungers and the floating bean bags in the pool itself were so good...
You can grab lunch and drinks from the pool bar/restaurant, and the staff here and behind reception are so welcoming and helpful - they really added to the stay.
Wifi is patchy, and it’s not got a whole lot of atmosphere in the evenings, but you’re a 15 minute/€20 euro taxi drive into Corfu Old Town which is gorgeous and full of great restaurants and bars. Can also stroll into Gouvia in 5 minutes - the road is a bit dark but it’s totally fine.
Highly recommend, thanks for the stay!
The hotel is family run, exceptionally clean, friendly and with a great swimming pool. Breakfast was very good served in a nice restaurant. Good location being a quiet area but just a 5 minute walk into Gouvia town...
Our room was lovely with a large balcony, unfortunately however we had no outlook whatsoever as the balcony faced the large roof of the hotels kitchen. If we had had a view I would have given the hotel top marks , but as it was, the disappointment of no view has reduced my overall perception of the hotel. I would recommend the hotel and would return myself but would ask for a room with a view !
This was our 2nd time at Hotel Art Debono and we stayed for 10 nights in a spacious Family Room with a good sized balcony with a lovely view and our bedding & towels were changed daily. Breakfast & Dinner were served in a lovely semi-outdoor area and the restaurant staff were all very friendly & helpful, special mention to Zoe, Konstantina and Georgios. We really enjoyed the very picturesque pool area...
The hotel is only a short walk from from the centre of Gouvia & the Marina. We hired a car for a few days and visited Paleokastrista Corfu Town, Roda and Messonghi Beach. A big thank you to Julia Debono & all her staff for another great time at a place part of me wants to keep a secret! However Hotel Art Debono is not only for us
Me and two friends booking this hotel for a week long getaway and it was brilliant. The view from the room was amazing and the house keeper kept it so clean. The staff were fantastic and we enjoyed drinking delicious cocktails, especially during the several hour long daily happy hour...
The pool was also really nice and we made good use of it. Breakfast was also really good and had lots of options! Was amazing weather even for September. Walk into town is really easy and it has lots of nice restaurants and bars. You can also get a bus to other places on the island very easily such as Corfu town. Very enjoyable stay.
