We recently returned from an 11 night fabulous holiday . As soon as we arrived we was greeted with all our auitcases being taken for us and met with cool towels and a welcome drink. We stayed preffered club so got led straight round to the reception area where we downloades the hotel app and got all the hotel details explained to us.
All staff work so hard and tirelessly ! Anything they can do to help you out, they will do.
We enjoyed the buffet, and also got booked in at all of the a la carte resturaunts too. There is a wide variety of food and my 2 girls loved the kids corner in the buffet.
The entertainment team and kids club where amazing ! My girls (8 and 4 ) had a fab time and all the staff were amazing taking care of them and we were so sad when we had to say goodbye!
The location is great - takes a little while to find your feet and explore the areas. But once we done so, we enjoyed using all the different pools ( great choice and if you are prefferred club you also get us of this pool ,which is quieter and was probably are favourite) and spending a bit of time on the beach where you can also use the inflatable, which we did once.
Evening entertianment had a great line up and variety, which we all enjoyed and the choice of all inclusive drinks was great, with severap lovely cocktails. Also in between meals there was always snacks and ice cream abailable.
We explored corfu town which was an easy bus ride- about 25/30 min And the port was also about 15 mins away which is where we did a boat trip to Paxos and we also got the ferry over one day to Albania.
We had a lovely family seaview room which was spacious, a great big balcony with amazing views. The mini bar got restocked every day and the cleaners kept it lovely and spotless.
Our holiday was great and would definately recommend, we would love to return
Thank you
There are alot of mixed reviews but from our experience we had a great time. I was a little unsure about the hotel at first booking online as we usually go to a different greek chain but the kids loved the idea of inflatable water activity at the beach front so that swayed the decision.
When we first arrived I was a bit worried that the main restaurant was very small in terms of the catering area but I've got to say the food was the best we have had in all inclusive hotels, every day was different with fresh salads, fish and other meats, alot of variety, alot of choice for kids as well. Our daughter has a peanut allergy but every day Anna was on hand to advise along with the chefs which considering how busy they are is greatly appreciated. And the team in the service area are also superb across the board.
Setting wise we had a seaview bungalow which was very stylish inside, the only reason I haven't given a 5 star review is as nice as the rooms are we have had larger family rooms at alternative chains for less money with larger balcony areas that are more private, but that said it wouldn't put us off returning.
Pool wise, if you upgrade to preferred club you have access to another one which is handy if you want some quiet time, lots of loungers and towel services, we would recommend the upgrade for this as it has other perks aswell, such as an extra lounge area where you can enjoy a quieter breakfast a wide drinks selection and for the money it's only a fraction more. But if you want to stick to the standard offer the other pools with the sea view infinity pool is great, sun beds there are plenty even up to 10am which i think is pretty good from past hotel experience. There is another larger lagoon pool with sort of a swim up bar but we didnt use this a great deal as it was on the other side of the hotel.
If you want to venture out of the hotel the team are also very helpful, we did a day at the water park which we pre-paid for, booking through the hotel company gives you peace of mind getting there and back with a pre-booked taxi. We also went to Corfu town, again the hotel arranged the taxi which is about 30 euros, but worth the trip. There is also a boat that takes you from the hotel pontoon which runs Tuesday and Fridays which you book with the guys on the beach.
Last thing as I've written an essay but the kids entertainment team are brilliant, the amount of fun and joy they bring to the kids and guests is just superb. The kids made so many friends, and we're not talking about dropping kids in kids clubs everyday, but the evening entertainment, the pool activities all brilliant. Would we go there again, yes definitely.
This hotel was not a 5 star experience. The food was the most distinctive and it wasn’t just our opinion we watch many people leave half way through their meals in the Ala carte restaurants. The buffet was just the same food everyday. I had emailed in advance to ask for a room next to our near to my children I didn’t class this as a special request but they put me so far away from them in caused so much stress. Reception kept saying tomorrow we can move you eventually they offered a room on the same floor but was actually further in distance. Many guests had told us they had spent to days in there room being sick and upset stomach from the Greek restaurant. The Pappous restaurant had chicken that was cold it looked like what I buy my dog from Aldi. Our room had a tap that fell off the wall. Corridors were very dirty. I stayed in the Marbella Corfu book this hotel instead of you can.
We recently got back from a week’s family holiday at Hyatt Ziva Corfu, where we all had an absolutely amazing time and the hotel was fantastic.
All of the staff were brilliant, particularly with our daughter (who has coeliac disease) and making sure everything was safe and suitable with her gluten-free requirements. The pools, room and whole hotel were all fantastic, and we really couldn’t have asked for a better holiday. So, a big thank you to all the staff at the hotel.
The pools and other areas of the hotel were great, with some great A La Carte restaurant options too.
We would definitely recommend to anyone and will definitely stay in more Hyatt Ziva hotels.
When we booked this was called Dreams Corfu, About a month before we went we received an email to say this had been changed to Hyatt Ziva Corfu
Upon arrival we got stuck in the lift - quite a terrifying experience with children - my friend had to prise open the door with her hands. We told the staff and they put an out of order sign up, needless to say we avoided the lift for the rest of the holiday.
Our room had a funny smell as soon as we went in and a birds nest with bird poo on the patio. The next day the smell got so bad of sewage we told the receptionist and they moved our room. The staff were really helpful sorting this out
Restaurants - I tried booking on app but no availability, so you need to que to book them, the lady was helpful and did get us a table in each of their 'al carte' restaurants. they were not al a carte. The food was bad in the greek and the seaside grill. Italian food ok but service appalling as they closed at 9.30, staff just left without saying anything and didn't clear the table.
the pool is good - they say they have a towel policy where they remove towels after 30 mins - they do not so you need to be at the pool by 8am to secure a spot. really annoying as you cant just relax and show up after breakfast.
I also saw a rat run past my sun lounger by the pool.
V small entertainment area for the size of the hotel. so not enough seats
Beware of the outside water inflatables my friend got badly cut on it - and the kids said it wasn't inflated properly so they all came off with bumps and bruises.
Did a day trip to Aqualand - really great water park Tracy from lord travel super helpful at sorting tickets/ transport and also our transport back to the sirport as the lonk i had been sent didnt work. - would recommend her and the company
We weren't leaving until 8.30 pm - had to leave our room at midday i tried to get an extension - it was 30 euros an hour and no availability so we had to get ready in they gym, which smelt of mould. the whole place needs a deep clean.
I actually had a wonderful holiday with my daughters and my best friend because we can have a good time anywhere but I was SO disappointed with this hotel, we had payed a lot of money so my expectations were much higher. this is a typical stressful all inclusive and I will not do again - i've booked IKOS for next year.
