As a family of 4 we had a lovely two week holiday here. Everything is clean and well presented and the sea views are lovely. The owners are really nice and helpful and Spiros behind the bar mixes a fine cocktail!
If you're looking for a great value break in Greece then this is definitely the place for you. It had a really smashing family atmosphere and my five-year old daughter was in heaven in the massive pool.
it's recommended to try the Pitta bread, feta and tzatziki as they are fantastic. The Greek food is lovely.
As a family we had been wanting to go to Greece for many years and decided Crete was our favoured option. Stallis has everything you need for a great holiday no matter what age. We chose the Bella Vista Apartments because of the reviews(good & bad), the fact it was just outside the main town and the views it had. The view from the pool and the apartments especially at night were amazing and we never got tired of them...
We went with the intention of eating out every night but after trying the food one evening we were drawn back to eating there about 50% of the time, it had a good choice, plenty of it and it was all very tasty. The owners and all the staff were always very helpful and would always go the extra mile to make sure we enjoyed our stay. If you needed something or some help they would always try and accommodate you. We had an amazing time and when the owners and staff made a point of coming to say goodbye to us when we left it made it even more special. Loved it and would highly recommend it to anyone
Firstly the hotel. Rooms are clean and basic. If self catering there is just a small portable hob so you will struggle...
Most rooms have a fantastic view down to the sea. We didn’t ( try not to get room 12). Pool has great views but slopes away quickly going from 1m to over 3m so not good if you have kids unless they are good swimmers. Small restaurant next to the pool does basic stuff but will get you by if you don’t fancy the walk, which brings me to distance to sissi town. It’s a good 20 minute walk to the first restaurant and shop and a good 35 minute walk to reach the harbour. If you take a left from the hotel you go toward malia, which is about 1 &half hour walk. Small beach 800m away and 15 mins further over headland takes you to a much nicer beach. Lovely views from hotel and quiet but not loads to do. To far out of the way for us but each to there own. Eden restaurant is first you come to in sissi and food is very good( don’t let all the plants put you off) and Amelia’s restaurant 80m further down is great, Thursday night is Greek night and not to be missed.
Had a very nice week in Crete at Bella Vista, with its deep pool, spectacular sunsets from the balcony with view on the sea, deafening cicadas singing during the heat of the day all around the premises, excellent food cooked by Irene, most romantic walk through the Palm Bay restaurant in nearby Sisi, ..., and a lot more. Would not mind going there again.
