Summer holiday

This was our first time away as a couple in four years post Covid. We arrived in the early hours of the morning and was greeted by a man who kindly shuttled us up to the resort and then we’re provided with fresh food in the restaurant by the man on reception, both were lovely touches.

We paid extra and booked a sea view room, however as it was dark it was hard to tell until the morning...

Unfortunately we woke up to not what we would class as a sea view room, we were directly looking at the gym and stairs down to the pool. If we stood up on our terrace then we could see a partial glimpse of the sea. We spoke to reception about this and it was 4 days later that they said they would move us, however having already settled into our room we decided to leave it. Having spoken to numerous people round the pool and overhearing conversations in reception it would appear we weren’t the only ones with a rooming issue. That said this was the only negative and if we were to go again then we would not pay extra for a room upgrade.

The staff were absolutely amazing, could not fault them for their work rate and kindness. We spent most days round the pool bar and had a really good time getting to know the staff working. The watermelon and ice cold flannels brought to your sun lounger in the late afternoon were a lovely touch.

Location wise the hotel was spot on. Really close to the main village where we ended up eating our evening meal most days. The resort were flexible in the way that they allowed us to swap our evening meal for lunch on the days we wanted to eat in the village which was brilliant.

Overall, other than the rooming issue, we did really enjoy our stay. Thank you.

Best hotel I've ever stayed in!

This hotel was amazing! Beautiful resort that is very close to the beach. The staff are great. Shout out to Giannis who made all of our drinks at the pool bar, and Mariana for helping us with all of our needs! The food is average but here's a tip: if you like buffets then you're fine, but if you like traditional food then only get breakfast and find lunch and dinner elsewhere because the food is repetitive and gets boring. Great entertainment, there's something to do every night! Pools are great! Although, there could be more sunbeds...

The pool bar food is very tasty. The shuttle service the beach is good, and staff are very friendly

Not as expected

Review by ForeverTraveller67 Germany

Not really a 5 Star hotel. More like a good 4 stars. Very nice and clean hotel with nice service staff. Nevertheless the service is not at all up to the requirements...

No much help from reception stuff when it comes with the extra effort you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Food quality is average, no fresh fruits available. No much wine selection and the pool areas are not sufficient for the number of people in the hotel. First come, first serve is normal but it becomes a problem when you don’t have enough space and you end up sitting on the ground

Our first visit to Crete

Review by Nomad56526346927 Lundin Links, United Kingdom

A beautiful resort a few hundred metres from the beach. The resort is first class. The staff are so friendly and efficient and mist speak good English...

The rooms are lovely and there are a variety pools and bars with stunning views. Food in the restaurants is self service buffet with so much variety that there is enough to satisfy every palate / diet etc. I thoroughly recommend it, the only downside being it is not near the beach, but we knew that. There is a shuttle bus I believe it we haven’t tried it yet. This is our first visit to Crete and our impressions are good.

Blissful

Review by DebbieEa Fife, United Kingdom

Out standing. From the second we arrived the second we left, the service was fantastic. All the staff were super friendly and professional. Especially Niko in his golf buggy to drive us to our room or to reception...

Georgia and Demetri in the bar. Our cleaner left our room spotless daily, she was super friendly and we nice chats.

We opted for a private pool and it was just perfect. Peaceful, relaxing and clean.

Breakfast only for us and choice was great, food was to a high standard.

Bathroom amenities were fab shampoo and conditioner left my hair so soft, and the Greek body lotion, I need back home.

We will definitely be back.
