Kalimera Kriti - HERO

The staff at both the reception and the restaurants are very friendly and helpful. They answer every question courteously, providing us with all the necessary information for our stay. The sea view room is wonderful, with a breathtaking view. It is spacious, bright, and equipped with every comfort. The resort, despite having numerous (400) rooms, is built with a maximum of 2-3 floors. The large common areas and various terraces, both with sea views and within the complex, ensure sufficient privacy to relax and enjoy an aperitif or coffee. The cuisine, whether for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, is excellent, and the staff is attentive and friendly. I was able to appreciate the sports facilities as well as the excellent pool and beach amenities. 
In short, an elegant resort equipped with every comfort and need, accessible for any budget.

This hotel is excellent. The pools are brilliant and the location is right on the beach is ideal. The sea is warm and calm and great for swimming.
The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. The food is 5 star, so much choice of a high standard.
Our apartment was typical geeek style with excellent air-conditioning. 
The entertainment was good also.
Taxi into Sissi costs 7 euros. We visited some good bars. 
We hired a car and went to Stalis and Agious Nickolas. Would highly recommend this hotel.



Fantastic hotel

Just come back from a fantastic holiday. The hotel is set out as a Cretan village with low rise buildings, all different, which is lovely. We stayed in a Seaview family suite. After reading reviews, we were pleasantly surprised. It was a bit magnolia, but very spacious. The air conditioning worked well and it was very clean. The beds were generally very comfortable, but as mentioned before 2 single together in main bedroom. 3 beds in separate large lounge, 2 very comfortable, but third camp bed, which was OK for 11 year old, but too short for anyone older. Of note another room we saw had all proper beds, but the main bedroom had 3 beds and lounge, 2 very separate singles, which is not really ideal either. The only other negative is shower quite slow and the water runs a bit cold by 5 shower.
There is a fridge, but no kettle. I think you could have asked for one.
The village style is lovely, but the site it really hilly with pool, sea, restaurant all on multiple levels. It all added to the charm, but I'm not sure it would be practical if mobility issues. The main pool is great, 50m, very deep at one end, under a bridge to a shollower area to stand in. It's fresh water and the right temp. We also saw an adults only pool, which looked nice. There is a smaller paddle and smaller children's pool by the mini club, but maybe a bit far for families. Small children seemed OK in the bigger pool with float aids, but couldn't stand.
The beaches are great. A narrower beach by the main pool with quite a rough sea at times, perfect for wave jumping. The beaches carries round to a calmer blueflag beach protected by a sea wall. With the pool, grass between, shaded areas and beaches all with sunbeds, there is no difficulty getting seats. The pool attended is great at keeping beds free and available. The guests are mainly German and Swiss, but you hear all languages, more British as we were leaving. The pool area is quite peaceful , music only at aquagym and eveeone seemed very sober and quiet spoken. This was maybe a bit different to experiences in other previous holidays, but I liked it, others may find too quiet. 
We were half board. The food was great. Initially it looks like the food running out, but the trays are filled regularly.  There is a huge range of food with some extra variation for the theme of the night. Amazing patisseries. All tastes catered for. Only suggestions would be a  bit more rice /potatoes for each meal and a bigger selection of tea at dinner, ginger and mountain tea, not everyone's choice. 
The waiters and restaurant managers work really hard and really friendly. The setting for meals is lovely, Could I suggest maybe screens in front of the dish collection area for aesthetics. They provided a lovely cake and decorated table for a birthday, in not sure it would have happened without asking, but it was delicious and a lovely occasion. 
The animators work hard with mini club, teen club, stretch classes, aquagym, beach volley ball, waterpolo and football, darts. This is in addition to 3x exercise classes. The exercise classes are in lovely shaded, breezy areas, but the beach volley ball and football areas are roasting even for the most enthusiastic. In the summer it would be good to have more water based options eg another aquagym (or aquadance) in afternoon, an adults water polo in main pool. You have to hire any pedals, paddle boards and kayaks at €10-20 euros each which is pricey each time for a family. I think they should be included.
I think the same regarding the gym and tennis. These are now part of the separate tennis centre and you need to pay €7 a day for gym and €40 for a tennis court, 4 rackets and 1 balls. Especially irritating when the animators still have tennis rackets that they cannot lend out and the hotel clearly has courts not attached to tennis centre. I think if you are paying for the hotel, you don't expect to to pay extra for these things.
The poddle lesson was good, but only 8adults on a Monday eve - maybe add an extra night? 
The evening bar is nice. The entertainment a bit variable, some eg live singers excellent, the clowns awful. It's a shame that with a move away from using the amphitheatre to the bar visibility is not always considered. This needs a reviee-maybe a stage, narrow the posts etc. 
The euros footballl on the large screen - indoor /outdoor was great. It would be good to use for other options eg Wimbledon and evening film too? 
Experience with the reception staff was very variable, with some discussions frustrating and a bit rude. I was not impressed with the Tui rep at all. Not a welcome at all,in fact very rude, and once it appeared that we weren't there to book a trip that day, very little info, no leaflets, no local info and directed to receptionist when I asked about any hotel info. 
The hotel could work a bit harder at ensuring you can work out what is on, where and when. The map is not helpful, etc. The hotel is great and we would definitely come back, but after initial reception, tui rep conversations and struggling to find out about activities the start was not good, but after that great!

Beautiful and clean hotel with 2 large swimming pools..easy access to the beach with beach bar!! Nice personal and kind!!!! The food was good in general..... as well as visiting the spa was a beautiful experience and treatment by Chrysa!! I highly recommend it.!!!!

A beautiful experience at Kalimera Kriti hotel. The hotel was extremely beautiful and it has access to sea. Also it has 2 big pools . I visited and their Spa. I choose the Cretan massage and my therapist Chrysa was absolutely amazing with the most amazing touch she has. Definitely I recommend to you to visit Kalimera Kriti and the spa. My holidays was very relaxing and beautiful.
