We stayed at Kalimera Kriti Village Resort with our family and children, and overall we had positive experience.
The hotel grounds are beautiful, very well maintained, clean, and full of greenery. There are many spots around the property with stunning sea views, making it a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The beach is another highlight, with soft sand and crystal-clear water.
The food deserves special praise—it was consistently delicious, with a great variety of dishes every day. The staff were also excellent throughout our stay: friendly, responsive, and always willing to help.
One thing worth mentioning is that the hotel offers two types of rooms. The renovated rooms are modern and comfortable, while the non-renovated rooms are very basic. If you don't plan to spend much time in your room and you've found a good deal, the older rooms may be perfectly acceptable. Otherwise, I would recommend paying extra for a renovated room. That said, even the renovated rooms are missing a few simple but useful amenities. For example, there are no shelves in the shower for shampoo or soap, and there is no proper clothesline or drying rack on the balcony for wet swimwear and towels.
Another tip: if your room is on the first floor and is not in the front row facing the sea, I wouldn't recommend paying extra for a sea-view room, as the view is likely to be blocked and you won't really see the sea.
The only significant downside for us was the location. The hotel is quite isolated and far from the nearest village, so you can't simply take an evening walk to explore local restaurants or cafés. You'll need to take a taxi if you want to go anywhere outside the resort. If you're planning to spend your entire holiday relaxing within the hotel, this won't be an issue, but it's something to keep in mind.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The beautiful grounds, excellent beach, delicious food, and outstanding staff made for a wonderful family holiday. With a few improvements to the room amenities, this hotel could be even better.
Gorgeous facilities. Pools, beaches, bar area, restaurant all lovely. We were half board and food was outstanding and staff very helpful. Drinks are expensive.
The accommodation is definitely not 4 star more like 2/3. Rooms are clean but very basic. Two sockets, no usb ports, wifi unreliable. A fridge and safe but no tea or coffee facilities.
Site is very spread out and up and down so bear this is mind if you have mobility issues. Also no signs anywhere. We arrived in the dark, no signs to reception, pool, restaurant, bars nothing. You need to walk and prepare to get lost down the many dead ends and give up on the very poor map you are given on arrival.
Don't walk to Sissi, get a taxi 7 euro.
Great couples massage. Room atmospheric bed comfortable. Thank you Vicky & Shimla Kim & Michael x
Lovely facial done by Chrysa! Was very friendly and welcoming.
This was a wonderful facial, in part because I it included an upper back massage, which was much appreciated after a day and night of travel. I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to this spa!!
