Stella Island Luxury Resort and Spa

Genuinely outstanding on everything. We haven’t found a fault yet. we thought we would be a little disheartened because we had a room in the hotel that wasn’t a swim up or one of the bungalows or anything like the villas however we found that by being on the Sun lounges and getting waited on hand and foot around the pool all day was so much more beneficial to me and my partner and our honeymoon than being in our own private area.

This was our third stay at Stella Island in three consecutive years, and after spending another full holiday here, our conclusion remains exactly the same: for us, Stella Island is one of those rare hotels that manages to combine beautiful design with genuinely outstanding hospitality.

Of course, the resort is incredibly photogenic – the pools, palm trees, architecture and overall design are beautiful. But what keeps bringing us back is not Instagram. It is the actual experience behind it.

From the moment we arrived, the entire resort was extremely clean, well maintained and cared for. Our room was beautiful, comfortable and in excellent condition, and the whole environment felt fresh and immaculate throughout our stay. The attention to detail is one of the things we particularly appreciate here.

We also found Stella Island to be exactly what we expect from an adults-only luxury resort: relaxed, peaceful and comfortable. We slept very well, enjoyed quiet time around our room and pool, and never felt that the atmosphere was intrusive or chaotic. Even when the hotel is lively in the evenings, it still manages to maintain that special holiday feeling.

Another huge strength is the food. After three visits, we have eaten in the different restaurants many times, and the quality and variety continue to impress us. Isla, La Parilla and Umami each have their own character, and both the food and presentation consistently feel appropriate for a high-end resort. For us, dining at Stella Island is genuinely one of the highlights of the holiday rather than simply something that looks good in photographs.

The same applies to the overall service. Luxury is not only about architecture, pools or expensive rooms – it is about how people make you feel. And this is where Stella Island is particularly strong.

The staff throughout the resort are exceptionally friendly, professional and attentive. Whether in the restaurants, bars, reception, guest relations, fitness area or with the drivers, we repeatedly experienced genuine hospitality rather than rehearsed service. Requests were handled quickly and professionally, and whenever we needed anything, somebody was there to help.

We also appreciate that there is much more to our days here than simply lying next to a pool. The daily CrossFit sessions have become one of our personal highlights and are a fantastic way to start the morning. Between training, the different pools, restaurants, bars, wellness options and simply enjoying the resort, we have never found a stay here boring – quite the opposite.

What also deserves recognition is how seriously the management and staff appear to take guest satisfaction. Over several years we have always felt welcomed, listened to and looked after. That consistency is probably the strongest compliment we can give a hotel.

A beautiful resort can photograph well once. Maintaining an excellent guest experience year after year is much harder.

Stella Island has done exactly that for us.

Three visits, three wonderful holidays, and once again we leave with the feeling that we will return.

We have just returned from Stella Island after spending 11 nights here. This place is truly amazing! Actually more than this if that is possible!

The rooms are clean and serviced daily and very comfortable with fridges replenished daily.

Food is delicious with presentation unreal. Each restaurant has its differences but all food cooked to a high standard. Drinks are delicious especially the cocktails!!!

The grounds are spotless and maintained morning, noon and night!

The staff who look after are simply the jewel in the crown here. They work so so hard and i want to publically thank them all especially the staff at Umbra bar who are Gilman, Natasha, Maria, Philip, Mae, Ankit. Their level of service is a credit to you!
