Overall, this was a very good hotel, but with some issues. The rooms could do with a few tweaks and improvements, but in general are good- well sized, very comfortable bed, great shower, very clean and modern. The biggest downside was the view in the cheapest level room - your balcony is facing other balconies so there is no privacy and you have to keep the sheer curtains pulled. Regarding the rest of the hotel - there is a really nice spa which is reasonably priced. I really liked the layout, decor, and design - especially the outside/pool area. It was very quiet and chilled which was nice. However - the pool is way too cold, meaning we weren't able to use it for the entirety of the trip which was such a shame. I was also let down by the beach, it's quite gravelly and the sea isn't overly appealing. The latter isn't the fault of the hotel, but the pool really should be heated during certain months. If I was planning on staying within the hotel most days and not exploring the island, this would've been a real problem. The location is a little off the beaten track so unless you are happy to stay locally (which I'm sure many people would be), it's not ideal - and taxis were very expensive. The stand out part of the hotel was the guest services. They were consistently super responsive and super helpful - particularly Ioanna. Giving the rating one more star for this alone.
Having returned this year for a second year we were not disappointed. Beautifully kept hotel. Staff are so friendly they make you feel so very welcome. The food is amazing with so much choice, dont think I ate the same food twice now 2 weeks. Our room was beautifully kept throughout our stay with daily fresh towels and offered extra coffees tea and water every single evening. Its difficult to single out the staff as all are lovely. But for us Christina in the resturant and Dora in the evenings at the alacarte restaurant and bar stood out. Management were constantly seen in meetings at the pool bar but didnt interact with guests which was very different to last year. Im sure we will return again.
Terrible assistance from manolis the receptionist. Reserved a taxi prior, only to come and wait and then being asked to share the taxi with other couples just to accommodate the situation. If the hotel cannot reserve a taxi for their guest, then they should just say not available.
I can only recommend staying here.
Once you arrive, you feel nothing but welcome. The atmosphere spreaded by the staff and the hotel itself makes you feel good and welcome right away.
The room was always clean and fresh. So was the pool area as well as the swim up pool right in front of our room.
The breakfast fast was awesome. You could pick from a variety of food or order an omelette with all ingredients you wish, and it was cooked right in front of you.
Chilling at the pool, you could order food and drinks directly to your sunbed and it was great all the time.
Only thing bad about dinner, there was too much amazing food and you could not eat everything you wanted. There was a greek evening once with freshly made Loukoumades which were literally the best. All the other desserts made you feel like in heaven. If I gained extra kg, so be it.
I don't know when, but one time we'll be back for sure!
This was our third visit to Myrion Beach Resort & Spa and somehow it just keeps getting better. From the moment we arrived, we were reminded why this has become one of our favourite hotels in Greece.
We stayed in a Junior Suite with Side Sea View, which was beautifully designed and incredibly comfortable. The hotel perfectly combines modern luxury with authentic Cretan design, creating a stylish yet relaxing atmosphere throughout.
The standout feature remains the stunning infinity pool, which is one of the largest and most impressive hotel pools we’ve experienced in Greece. The tranquil grounds are immaculately maintained and provide a real sense of calm and space.
The food was exceptional, particularly in the à la carte restaurant where the Greek dishes were simply outstanding. Another highlight was the pool DJ, whose mix of soft deep house and chilled beats created the perfect soundtrack for lazy afternoons by the water.
A special thank you to the wonderful team who made our stay so memorable: Popi at the Front Desk, Despina, Dora, Nikos and Vassili. Their warmth, professionalism and genuine hospitality are a credit to the hotel.
Myrion Beach continues to deliver everything we look for in a Greek holiday – beautiful design, fantastic food, a great atmosphere and exceptional service.
We’ll be back again next May
