Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Family holiday On arrival my booking was not at the hotel. This was due to On the Beach not forwarding the reference and nothing to do with the hotel, The receptionist (Anna) spoke to her manager who confirmed none receipt of booking from On the Beach. Anna then sorted out accommodation for us, she was extremely pleasant and helpful and went the extra mile to sort everything out. Our stay turned out to be a brilliant experience helped by friendly staff in the bar area and also restaurant. It was a fantastic family holiday in a very family friendly environment. I would highly recommend this complex and would not hesitate to stay again !!!!! As for On the Beach they left a lot to be desired. Thank you again to all the staff connected to Hara ilios Village 👌👌👏👏👏👏
We had the best stay which was all down to the fantastic staff. We were made to feel very welcome and staff were so accommodating. The beach is a short walk away with a beautiful clear sea. Buses run to Heraklion or Malia every 20/30 minutes and are the cheapest way to explore Crete from the hotel. The drinks are the best I’ve ever had from an all inclusive! There are so many delicious cocktails, and a lot are included which is lovely (such as Aperol Spritz, Amaretto Sour and Mojito). Drinks are well made, tasty, and always served in a nice glass. The pool bar is fantastic and had nice lunch options too. The main buffet food is all very tasty and includes lots of fresh produce grown on site. There is always lots of choice for salads, mains, and desserts. I will note that the vegetarian options are occasionally lacking and dishes (particularly salads) are not always signposted whether they contain meat. The main pool is nice however we had a private pool so spent more time in that. The spa is lovely and we had a very relaxing massage; Stam made us feel so comfortable. Anna in reception is fantastic, constantly providing useful information and going above and beyond to accommodate us. Julie, Bill, and Rafaella were so friendly and worked so hard during the busy evenings at the bar. The staff are all great and make the hotel even better. I hope to one day return to this hotel.
Small and clean hotel with almost non-existent view to to the sea( do not believe the pictures presented) Garden, bar and pool area very nice, standard room where we stayed, little old fashioned. Food in the cantina is quite ok and fresh, we managed to find something from the selection provided. A la carte ( which is actually set menu) was disappointment. We hoped to see food, similar to what is presented on the web page, but nothing like this were offered at any corner of the hotel. Coffee could be better, but I have seen also worse. Least attractive place at the hotel is restaurant/ looks like cantina. It is clean and with solid furniture, but with real cantina vibe, which spoils the dining experience. Staff is very welcoming and helpful in this small and rather quiet hotel. Location 100m from the see, hotel has very well groomed area, but unfortunately in the middle of not so attractive surroundings, beach maybe 200-300m Suitable rather for quiet holiday. Extra points for cocktails which are served in a nice glass ( also at the pool area) and actually taste good. All inclusive do not include pool towels and at the bar also only selection of the cocktails/drinks are included, better coffee is also not included. SPA seemed to be a little tent, did not try, so will not say anything more. Choice of the music at public areas was enjoyable.
Came here on the 7th oct for 9 night Great hotel, the staff were very nice and helpful We went all-inclusive The food was good always something to eat The drinks are nice At night the lady on the bar at night works very hard We had room 413 with its own little pool good for when it got to hot There is a little fridge in the room as well There is a great little shop 2 mins walk from the hotel We are looking to book for next year
Not great! The rooms was fine clean tidy plenty of space huge balcony over looking gardens and a view of the sea rooms cleaned every day water provided daily did miss out a couple of days with fresh towels dont know why? The food was very mediocre there was always something to eat it was very mish mash mostly themed nights but it didn't really follow very well The drinks on all inclusive wasnt the greatest selection ever the cocktails were all bitter no nice ones Close to the beach but the beach was very busy and sea is very choppy Staff was great welcomed with homemade lemonade very tasty Don't think I woukd return
