This complex lies in the most beautiful area of Chania, Kato Daratso, which is 4 km west of Chania city. This hotel also is located only 300 metres from the sea and built on a verdant plot of 2.7 ha. The city airport is 14 km away. This residential complex is a truly magnificent Mediterranean village with small, white detached houses that are scattered among trees and flowers. Their architectural design blends in with the surrounding environment in perfect harmony. Endless gardens, the convenient parking area and mostly the friendliness of the people create the appropriate conditions for a rested stay for those who dream of really special holidays. Guests will also be comfortable in their well-equipped rooms. A sanitary outdoor pool, children's pools and a poolside snack bar awaits guests as well during the day.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We stayed at Sirios as a family of 12, we had three rooms around the pool which are modern and clean and we also had two apartments in the older bit which are a bit run down and in need of modernisation, the halls around the rooms (605 & 607) are dark and quite often rubbish is left in the window sill of the room, I noticed two knifes left there for the whole week, a shame as it could be a nice area.
The food is pretty much the same every night even though it is supposedly themed, the breakfast and lunch are much nicer than the evening meal and the snack bar offerings are quite nice too. Lovely pizza and gyros
The drinks ie cocktails and wine are pretty much undrinkable...the cocktails sweet and the wine tasteless. The beer is ok and soft drinks were fine. They also have a silly rule of only 2 drinks at a time, which for a large family like ours did not work!
Unfortunately we had a bad experience with the childrens club and our children only went once as one of youngster overheard the two girls saying that the "Brits" were rude, such a shame for the little ones, I dont see how a 4,6 and 9 year old could be rude! They seemed to favour other foreigners but did not like the British at all!
The toilet situation around the pool is pretty bad, there is one toilet underground in receiption that is shared by the whole hotel, its slippery in the day and too far for people to walk! I saw twice a child peeing in the pool! I think this should be addressed and one of the rooms by the pool used as a public toilet!
The staff around the pool and behind the bar are also not that friendly either, not the happy Greeks we have encountered before, they love to tell you off! Especially the manager in the restaurant, she loves to reprimand you if you leave the glass snack case open too long!
That being said on a busy Augusts week we had a nice time.
Sirios Village was lovely hotel. The food was good quality and pools were excellent. The location was good with a short 10 minute walk to the beach (although the walk back is up a steep hill) and 5 minute walk to the bus into Chania. The entertainment at the hotel was quite basic, although we loved the Cretan dancing, but there were enough things locally or in Chania if you wanted evening activity.
Truly a great place for a family vacation! Everything was so clean and the service was on top! The beds was good and the food was excellent! We had a child with allergies and the headchef made specially pancakes for him without eggs! That chef needs a raise ! But actually the whole staff needs a raise 😅💪🏽
We recently stayed at this hotel for a family holiday with 12 adults ranging in age from 18 to 85. Overall, the hotel itself was good, with nice facilities, good food, and excellent service. The staff were always friendly, welcoming, and very helpful, which we greatly appreciated.
The hotel is also conveniently located, with a beautiful beach and crystal-clear water only about a 10-minute walk away. It was easy to take the bus directly to Chania, which was another big advantage.
However, we felt that this hotel was primarily designed for families with young children. As a result, there was often a lot of noise and activity around the pools and common areas throughout the day. As a group of adults, we unfortunately felt that we had chosen the wrong hotel for our needs, and this had a significant impact on our overall experience.
We were also somewhat disappointed by the selection of drinks included in the Ultra All-Inclusive package, which we found more limited than expected.
In summary, this is a good hotel with great staff and decent facilities, and we would recommend it to families with young children. However, for larger groups of adults looking for a quieter and more relaxed holiday, there may be more suitable options available.
We had a fantastic stay at Sirios Village and would highly recommend it for families. The hotel has a warm, family-friendly atmosphere, with friendly staff, good food, and plenty of activities for all ages.
The pools were one of the highlights of our holiday. There are several pools to choose from, so it never felt overcrowded, and the children's pool areas were perfect for younger guests. The pools were always clean, well maintained, and provided a great place to relax or have fun as a family throughout the day.
Overall, Sirios Village is a great choice for a relaxing family holiday, and we would happily return.
