Our stay at this hotel was fantastic.
The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming.
The pool area was beautiful and not overcrowded.
Rooms were spacious, clean and with a good large strong shower.
Bed mattereses were a little hard in the main bedroom but that is preference
Location wise, we thought it was perfect. Only 10 mins stroll to the main stalis area. Under a small underpass. Quiet at night so no car noise or anything.
Atmosphere was good, read a few reviews about the staff playing different music etc on an evening. Each to their own. We played pool at 2euro. Lovely helpful staff at all times, from cleaners to reception, check in, bar tenders and every one was lovely.
Beer 4 euros for large mythos, ice cream 2euro and lovely ice cream.. also ate lunch at the apartments kids were happy, see photos and very good prices for food. Drinks all on attached photos. Hope you find this helpful.
Pool area does get quite busy, not supposed to reserve sun beds so we went down around 9ish. Lots of people have floats which my kids enjoyed and took our own as well.
Pool goes deep quite quickly but we'll signposted. No issues with room. 1 bed apartment see video. We took extension plus as only limited plugs. Air conditioning was available at 8 euros per night, was worth it. 2 euros tourist tax per night. We had room 29 upstairs a few steps. No lifts so be mind ful of this. Bedroom wise, the beds are quite hard, a mattress topper os on each one but is what it is. 1 pillow so take extra and also 1 thin sheet again, some people may want more
A good mix of holiday makers here, Dutch, English etc.
Overall really lovely experience. Would happily go back
Better than expected for 3 star . Beautiful and clean .Apartments are a 3 min walk from supermarket . Yes British brands are expensive but they’re imported ! Local olives , bread , water same as home prices . Room had everything we needed . Kettle, fridge . There’s no oven toaster or microwave but we didn’t need as ate out at the many wonderful restaurants Statius has to offer . 10-15 min walk away . Room cleaned every 2 days fresh towels and toilet roll supplied . Yes there are some steps up to apartments , two levels only . We’re all fit and healthy so no problem . If you have trouble with stairs request ground floor . Yes you need to buy washing up liquid but these are self catering apartments same as you’d need to take your own toiletries . Pool was quiet . Always sun lounged spare . Could pay for food drink at oool bar as you went along or add to your room bill . Basic pizza chips burger ( kids food ) didn’t have it so can’t really comment .
Just returned from these apartments. You couldn't ask for more, so peaceful, a 15 to 20 min walk to bars. A supermarket 2 mins away. There were 3 of us in 1 bedroom apartment, plenty of space for us. Housekeeper was so cheerful singing away, nice girl. Pool area is really nice, help yourself to a sunbed and chill. There's a bookcase there so you can help yourself to books. Girl on bar through the day was lovely and friendly. We had tuna sandwiches one day, very nice. Drinks a decent price. I could come back to these apartments on my own, it's that kind of place. Thank you for a lovely week, I just wish it was longer.
There's no lift so if not mobile ask for low floor as a few stairs to go up. There could do with being more plug sockets, especially in kitchen area, we had to boil kettle on the floor.
The hotel is lovely and clean and we had a great room with a beatiful room with amazing views of the nearby mountains.
The room was spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. The beds were comfy but you only get one pillow so pack one if you are like me and need more.
We paid for air con and a safe on arrival which was very useful but was also very expensive.
Lovely welcome and sat in bar till 3pm till room was ready.
The Negatives
The Bar
Very reasonably priced for a hotel bar. The female staff were lovely. Couldn't do enough for you. We even had snacks in bar area which were great for the price.
There is a male bar person however, who, though pleasant enough, enjoys playing really depressing blues music. It sets a very miserable tone for your holiday! I mean like - very miserable whilst the young ladies play happy music.
The Pool
Its a lovely space with plenty of beds to help yourself too. The issue for us was two couples. They took over the place using huge inflatables whilst in the tiny pool. This left no space for anyone else and nodody challenged them. You could not get in the pool till they got out which was never.
The pool is 1 meter deep at one end then suddenly drops to 2.80 meters deep very quickly. Its something people need to consider if taking kids.
Check Out
10am - 10am - 10am!!!!! You will see plenty of signs everywhere reminding you of this. Our flight was at 01:30am the following day. We were not picked up for our transfer till after 9pm.
THERE ARE NO SHOWERING FACILITIES FOR THESE CIRCUMSTANCES - OR AT LEAST THEY WERE NOT PROMOTED TO US ON CHECK OUT. If travelling with kids or like me, you are registered disabled, this leads to a very long, uncomfortable last day. We used the beach in the end. Thia is a very poor level of service.
There is a toilet with one sink if you do not mind cauaing a queue to stay clean.
STAR OF OUR STAY
This was our housekeeper!
Could not do enough for us. We kept the place clean but she popped in and made the beds and gave us fresh towels. She was always singing and has a lovely voice which made me smile lots.
Overall, this place is ok. Reasonably priced for the standard it is, however, when you add the extras on at check in for a more comfortable stay, it becomes quite pricey. All the female staff were so welcoming but the male bar man really needs to consider the fact that its not his holiday and his choice of music could be emptying the bar rather than filling it!
