The staff and family go above and beyond every single day to make sure your stay is perfect. Whether it's helping with special requests, serving delicious food with pride, or just stopping for a friendly chat. The atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming, the grounds are beautifully kept, and the incredible team makes you feel completely at home. Just returned from our first trip to Halkidiki and the Medusa Apartments. Good location. Lovely pool and bar area. The best thing about the experience though was Daphne and her lovely family and staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Daphne in particular was very welcoming and so knowledgeable about the area. Thank you to everyone for making our holiday so lovely. 👍☺️
We've been going to hotel Medusa since 2019, went twice this year, June and September. We've booked both months for next year. Daphane and family go above and beyond to ensure your stay is brilliant. Rooms are very clean, clean towels and sheets every 3 days or when needed. Pool area is never to crowded always plenty of sunbeds. Bar snacks are freshly made by Giannis and are great value for money. It's a short uphill walk to shops and restaurants which are all very good. We've met a lot of lovely friends who also return year after year. Daphane,Ahileas, Alena and Deano all go out of their way to help make your stay brilliant. Can't wait till next year to see our greek family and friends.
On arrival to the Medusa we were greeted by the lovely,friendly Dafni who was extremely inviting.She went through the check-in process and then we were shown to our room.
One of the first things we noticed was the arrangement of little sweeties on one of the pillow cases that read ‘50’ as it was my partners 50th Birthday.We were both really touched by this sweet and unexpected surprise.
We booked a studio apartment which was perfect for our needs.It had a kettle and a fridge which was great as we didn’t plan on cooking and wanted to sample the local cuisine up in the nearby village.We got many recommendations from Dafni and guests as to where to eat throughout the holiday and they didn’t let us down.The food was delicious.The Bistro,Antolis,Nickos and Meze were a few of our favourites.
The studio was clean and bright.The beds were comfy and all linen was clean.We had a lovely view from the balcony where we enjoyed our morning coffee.
The pool area is pleasant and relaxed, and a nice selection of music is played in the background.There are numerous sunbeds in various positions.Some for the sun lovers and some for people who just want to chill out under an umbrella.
Overlooking the pool area is the lovely and relaxing bar area.It has a good number of seats and the comfy corner sofas are to die for if you want to indulge in a cocktail whilst reading a book.If you happen to run out of your holiday read there are a large library of books that Dafni will lend you.
The bar area also serves delicious snacks at a reasonable price (very competitive with the village).Bacon sandwiches, scrambled eggs,beans on toast, burger and fries,Pizza, various toasties and also more Greek food like Gyros, Souvalki and Greek Salad.
If you haven’t booked breakfast at the hotel you can still eat a generous and delicious Continental style one for only €9.Yannis who runs the kitchen makes the best English Breakfast cup of tea in all of Kriopigi.
The bar has a good selection of drinks and a very nice cocktail menu.Dino makes a mean Medusa Surprise.Also the Frappe Eleanor made me each morning was on point.
Whilst we stayed there we enjoyed a couple of nights of entertainment.A Men versus Women Quiz and Hoy Bingo.It was a great laugh and even the Greeks joined in.
One afternoon there was Aqua Zumba in the pool.That was such a laugh and both Dafni and Eleanor can bust some moves.
Dafni offers trips to various places and we booked the boat trip which was a long day but absolutely worth it.A memory we will never forget.
Talking to other guests at night in the bar area we found out that for many of them it was their 4th or 5th visit to Medusa.Many come twice a year.Some have already booked for 2027.That clearly shows what a little Greek diamond the Medusa is.
Daphne,Ahileas,Eleanor,Dino and Yannis could not do anything more for you.Nothing is too much and you really feel like you become part of their Greek family.
