- Porto Skala Village Hotel

Surrounded by lush gardens and shaped in a perfect amphitheatric form, this complex allows its guests to wake-up to the marvellous views of the Ionian Sea. Its architecture is reminiscent of that traditional Greek villages, with slightly sloped roofs, brightly painted walls and the typical furnished terraces to which all of the cosy rooms open. The accommodation units are simply decorated, but come with all the necessities required for a relaxed vacation. For dining onsite restaurant can treat to traditional local dishes, chilled beverages and a large selection of desserts. After the delightful meal guests should simply try to reach the two pebbled beaches in front of the venue and spend their afternoon lazing around and working on that perfect tan. Porto Skala Hotel - Village is a spacious complex set in attractive gardens and quiet surroundings. It is perfectly placed in an amphitheatr
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Great facilities, decent size rooms and very comfy beds.
The best thing about this hotel though is the amazing staff……….nothing is too much trouble. I must in particular mention Evelyn and Franklin who were amazing!
My main gripe unfortunately was that there is no air con in the seating areas in the dining room but would thoroughly recommend this hotel
We have had the most fabulous holiday staying at the Porto Skala Village in Skala. All the staff have been wonderful and couldn’t do more for you ! Evelyn , the customer relations manager, is so friendly and helpful. She makes it her mission to get to know every guest staying here which is really lovely . She can book trips for you , hire cars, make restaurant recommendations, anything, without leaving the hotel . The hotel itself is lovely and clean, the rooms are cleaned daily. The pool area is lovely, with so much space . Barman Franklin works very hard and always very helpful and friendly. Nice lunches can be ordered at the pool bar until 6pm. Rodi on reception was so helpful too … ordering taxis, sorting out our Tv in our room, finding out opening hours of attractions for us.. All the staff are great to be honest . We have fab views from our room and our daughters - I think they all have a sea view to be fair. You can always ask Chris for a lift in the buggy to get back to your room if yours is up a few stairs like ours was!!! The hotel bus can drop you into Skala during the day and pick up as well hourly if you book it . Otherwise it’s a short cab journey . Great little cove opposite hotel as well where I swam with a turtle! Not an easy access beach though as you need to climb over some rocks to get to it , but worth it for the fish and sea life!
All in all a definite 5 star for this hotel . We have had the best time . Thank you everyone at the Porto Skala Village
I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable rest in a peaceful, beautiful neighborhood. The rooms are clean, cleaned daily, and have fresh towels provided. The staff are incredibly helpful, friendly, and attentive. The hotel is in a quiet area, yet a nearby town is within walking distance. The hotel beach—a picturesque cove with blue water—is the quintessence of Kefalonia. If I visit the island again, I will certainly stay at this hotel. In my opinion, the stay was an 11/10.
Located about a 30 minute walk from Skala Town, the hotel is located just across the road from sandy beaches, surprisingly although the road is the main route up to Poros, it wasn't too busy so you get little noise from the road. Small car park nearby for Hotel Parking. All the staff were lovely especially Rodi and Evelyn but all the staff were friendly and helpful Room was spacious with a good view out over the sea, the shower room looked recently renovated. Beds were comfy, small fridge/tea-coffee/ air con and a small safe/ balcony with table and chairs / flat screen tv with about 50 channels and good wifi reception in our room (201) Pool area was lovely, pool was warm and clean, plenty of sunbeds with comfy cushions and beach towels provided daily. Buffet style dining room with sea views. Breakfast was plentiful with choice for just about everyone. Little disappointed with evening meal (choice/value for money) Daily film show in the conference room, didn't see evidence of any other entertainment other than Pool Bar was screening World Cup footie in the evenings. Accommodation in Greece can be quite basic in my experience, this Hotel is branded as 4 star and I think it delivers everything you might need to make your stay comfortable, including a small shop for gifts and soft drinks. I would be happy to stay here again.
We have just returned from our second week-long stay at Porto Skala Village. Overall, it was exceptional from start to finish. Rooms very clean and comfortable, we brought our own pillows as we usually dont sleep well but we didn’t need them. Food is great, mostly Greek which we love. Wifi is good. Gym mad partner pleased with facilities. Everything is just laid back and convenient.
We were very well looked after by all of the staff, Evelyn who could not do enough for us and is one of the warmest friendliest people I have ever met, Valentine and Frank, and an extra special mention to Chris, he struck up a very special friendship with our little boy who looked forward to seeing him every day, he is a credit to Porto Skala, I did not have to worry about a single thing at breakfast or dinner because of him which is a welcome relief with a lively 3 year old. It felt like saying goodbye to family on our last day. You all made our holiday even more special and it was lovely to have all the staff make such a fuss of my little boy, he really felt at home. We were very kindly given a hotel t-shirt for him when we left, he was very pleased that it was the same as Chris’. We were also given some beach toys (I think by the general manager) when my boy wanted something out of the vending machine which was being fixed at the time, very generous!!
Thankyou so much and we already can’t wait to return to beautiful Kefalonia again.
