Blue Lagoon Village is a luxurious village style complex with 447 guestrooms. This all inclusive hotel is in direct contact with the sandy beach offering magnificent views. It is located only 10 km from the centre of Kefalos, near Paradise Beach one of the most beautiful beaches of Kos, only 7 km from the airport and 30 km from Kos town, the capital of the island. The Blue Lagoon Village offers a vast range of facilities like the Aegean Main restaurant with indoor and outdoor sections, the Thalassa Fish tavern, the Susshimi Sushi restaurant and the Golden Sun Chinese restaurant offering you different tastes from all over the world. The Mythos Taverna serves traditional Greek dishes, the Piazza Italian restaurant offers a taste of Italy, the Green & Grill is the place where you can grill your own combination of different meats and finally the Gelateria where you can enjoy panckaes, waffles, sweets and ice-cream.You will have a hard job choosing where to have your drink; at the Shake & Mix Pool bar any time of the day, the Wet Pool bar, an impressive swim-up bar, the Plaza Pool bar the Piazza bar and the Theater Bar in the afternoon or the Beach and Snack bar during the day.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Great 11 night stay in a swim up room. Room was clean, comfortable and modern. Staff were very friendly and worked tirelessly.
Just 10-15 mins from airport. The site is secluded, so if you’re looking for a real Greek cultural holiday, this is not for you. This is a relaxing stress free holiday.
Loads and loads of sunbeds! We didn’t struggle any time of day to find somewhere around any of the pools. This also meant moving around the different pools or areas throughout the day (eg to the slides area) was stress free - no need to guard your spot.
Loads of pools. We tried them all and each offered something a bit different. Lots of slides for different ages.
Food all great quality. Breakfast normal all inclusive offer. It went on until 11am which was great. Lunch only available in the restaurants down by the main pool areas, great food, never had to queue.
For dinner there are 3 à la carte restaurants included, and we could book each once a week. Asian and Italian both nice so went twice each. Bbq we only went once as found it a bit stressful - coordinating different grills for meat/poultry/fish/veg alongside others. Bookable on the app when you check in.
2 buffet restaurants - the main one which was pretty much the same food each night, but loads of choice, and one down by the beach, which did theme nights (Mexican, French, Indian, Asian and Blue Lagoon) - the schedule is on a poster in the reception.
Several snack outlets, although choice was quite limited - hotdogs, toasties, crepes, waffles or ice cream. Outlet by the slides also did pizza.
Entertainment was good - the staff worked hard to put on a good show. Some shows (eg Micheal Jackson) were very popular so you need to get there an hour before to get a good seat! It’s a shame there were not more chairs available. Other shows were fine. The schedule is only on the posters by the show area- not the app. There is also a couple that sing in the bar 6 nights a week.
The site is quite big, but felt manageable and allowed us to get some steps in to work off the all inclusive calories. Buggies also available for lifts when wanted.
There are no complimentary snacks (crisps, nuts etc) in the bars, and there is nothing to eat after the restaurants close at 9.30. The shop is also ridiculously expensive. Luckily we had packed a few snacks from home.
Overall really enjoyed our stay and would return for a relaxing holiday.
wow, wow, wow and WOW!!! what an utterly fantastic holiday we have had. Blue lagoon village is such a fabulous hotel. As soon as we arrived we were blown away with the high standard of service. Every single person we came in contact with who works at the hotel was outstanding. The facilities, the food, the pools, the restaurants, our room , the entertainment (which felt like a full on Broadway production), the carts and finally we must not forget mention the cats ❤️
we arrived home yesterday and I couldn't wait to leave a review.
Thank you ❤️
Complex looks very nice.
Drinks and food are average.
Management don’t talk to the English.
Stay away from the Facebook group as they don’t allow negative posts which means you do not get to know everything about the hotel snd they also give out incorrect info.
Nice duplex room 2 floors, one sofa bed and toilet room downstairs with large balcony. Upstairs main bathroom, shower and double bed and small balcony with table. Just By the relax pool which is quiet- no entertainment. Nice pool bar and hard working staff.
Food good breakfast/ normal all inclusive selection and quality. I don’t overly care as long as I’m getting a break from cooking and clearing up but need to be edible and fresh.
No drinks apart from water in room. No bottles/cans of beer or other drinks which must be purchased with cash at the bar. All inclusive drinks are all local spirits in cups.
Isolated location. Not in Kos town but still nice. 70% full in first week in August but complex is huge so doesn’t feel crowded. This is situated at the opposite end of the island and is not anywhere near Kos town.
Everywhere clean and spotless. Grounds staff work very hard. Cats looked after and fed with water out for them- very important to us and many friendly ones too, this kindness is a reflection of the staff.
Bar and wait staff all very very hardworking.
Beds a bit hard but had worse.
Poor WiFi drops out all the time.
Paid £7000 for package including flights and transfers for 4 for 9 night stay including £280 late check out fee- our flight was at 9pm so no way we wanted to be out at 10am.
À la carte restaurants. Only permitted one booking in each one during stay during peak times. 3 included- 2 additional charge. Evening buffet good selection and fresh. Huge restaurant but short wait for outside table.
Paid to eat in Thallissa - not great 158 euros, rushed, asked to order desserts when we hadn’t been finished our mains, started clearing away all the other tables when we had only been there 15 mins- our booking was 8pm- food was illuminous with food colourings- turquoise avocado mousse, pine bright green mash potato, just put me off to be honest as we try to eat UPF free. Would be better not using food colourings. Italian restaurant - food we judged as being a bit poor. The quality is of no difference than the buffet and if anything you’re more rushed because the staff are obviously under pressure to serve as quickly as possible. Chinese restaurant good and part of inclusive package. Kids enjoyed it and food ok. Some nice cocktails included- I enjoyed the gin fizz with cucumber syrup. ‘Normal’ cocktails are extra charge eg daiquiri, mojito etc
Don’t take Apple Pay. Only cash or room charge if you purchase meals or other drinks eg bottled beer to take to room or iced coffee.
Overall good, but probably wouldn’t visit again but we did have a nice break. 7.5/10 overall.
We used the private taxi to go to the towns but it was expensive, 95 euro round trip to go to kardamaina (10 mins each way)- there was a huge queue at the taxi rank to get home so glad we did it this way with younger children and we budgeted for expenses like this. We had a great meal there at tartatas and great range of shops etc. typical tourist roads.
We went into Kos one day and went to the museum, historical sites and had lunch. We like to change it up a bit rather than stay on site especially on such a lovely island. Great day. We used a normal taxi here, 100 euro round trip, approx 40 mins each way. Easily got taxi at taxi rank.
Very clean everywhere, staff constantly cleaning. 10/10 cleanliness.
I would recommend but be mindful of location if you want to go out in the evenings.
Great family orientated hotel.
Let me again stress how wonderful the staff are and incredibly hard working. Their hard work makes the holiday.
We stayed at Blue Lagoon Village in Kefalos at the end of June as a family of five with children aged 16, 12 and 6. This was our third visit to the resort, which holds a very special place in our hearts as it’s also where we got married back in 2012. Returning 14 years later as a family made the trip incredibly meaningful.
We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better holiday.
The resort has a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere and, despite its size, never felt crowded. We could always find sunbeds without any early morning rush, which meant we could enjoy lie-ins, a relaxed breakfast, and still easily find a spot by the pool or beach.
The food was excellent, with plenty of variety to suit all five of us. With children of different ages, it was great that everyone always found something they enjoyed.
We were super lucky and were upgraded to family rooms. They are lovely and spacious and beautifully clean. My only gripe would be that they were identical 14 years ago and in places are showing signs of wear with some blowing of plaster and peeling wallpaper. This didn’t bother us, but for 5 stars it could do with an upgrade.
The water sports were a big highlight, especially for the kids, and there was a great range of activities available throughout the resort to keep everyone entertained.
A real standout for us was the entertainment team. They were fantastic throughout our stay, going out of their way to make us feel welcome. They remembered our names, including the children’s, and always took time to chat and involve us in activities, which made everything feel very personal.
One unforgettable moment was when they nicknamed my husband “Crocodile Jon” after noticing his tattoo, and before long he was being invited up on stage to dance 😂. It was one of those hilarious, unexpected moments that the kids absolutely loved and made the holiday even more memorable.
The resort itself is beautiful, with spacious grounds, lovely pools and a stunning setting. We really appreciated the freedom for everyone to do their own thing, whether relaxing, joining activities, or spending time together as a family.
It worked perfectly for our mixed-age family, with all three children having a brilliant time — not always an easy thing to achieve!
Returning to such a meaningful place and seeing our children enjoy it just as much made this stay extra special. From getting married here in 2012 to now our third family visit, Blue Lagoon Village has given us some truly unforgettable memories.
We left feeling relaxed, well fed, and full of new family moments. We would definitely return again and highly recommend Blue Lagoon Village to families looking for a fun, friendly and relaxed all-inclusive holiday. 💙☀️🇬🇷
