Just back from our first visit to Kos. This hotel literally made our holiday. We usually feel ready to go back home after 5 or 6 days on holiday but this time we wanted to stay longer. The hotel Manager Kostas is always around greeting people, making sure everything is running as it should be. Every member of staff we encountered was just lovely, nothing was too much trouble, they were genuinely willing, friendly and just wanted you to have a nice time. A particular mention to both Alex’s who were the best at knowing what you wanted before you’d even asked for it. We rarely use hotel facilities when we go away because we prefer to go out but here we wanted to stay and eat or go to the spa because it was just such a nice place to be. The fine dining restaurant was a very special experience and the other restaurant was so chilled and inviting we went there several times. The food was such good quality and we never felt rushed. The beach bar was a relaxing place to go for lunch and we visited several times because of the lovely laid back atmosphere. We had a gorgeous massage at the spa then used the facilities, sauna and steam to relax afterwards. This hotel is outside of Kos town. It’s probably around 30 minutes walk in. We don’t mind a walk but we only went in during the day as we preferred the quieter, more laid back vibe at the hotel although we did eat out twice at a restaurant 13 minutes walk away and that was very nice. I can’t say enough good stuff about this place. While I was there I was checking availability for May so I can go back and do it all again!
Back from 10 nights at this amazing hotel. The staff absolutely 100% make this hotel!! (Aswell as Ralphy the hotel Cat) The welcome at reception, the breakfast staff, the bar staff, housekeeping all AMAZING, friendly and smiley all day. They want you to relax and enjoy your holiday from the moment you arrive and that’s evident throughout!
The food at breakfast is lovely, never have I had a menu before that’s cooked to order as well as buffet full of amazing food!! It really is one of the best breakfasts.
Pool beds so comfy, no scramble for beds in a morning which is just heaven. There was however some people reserving sunbeds and disappearing for hours when we stayed which annoyed me when I saw others coming looking for beds and there was none. I’m hoping it was a one off from guests staying when we were there. We loved the beach club included and the beds there were lovely and again staff so friendly!
I have two minor things that bugged First one, whenever we ordered drinks poolside we were asked our room number which was fine I assumed it was to check if we were guests but it was to keep charging drinks to our room which I didn’t want. What needs to change here is the server asking would you like to pay or charge them to your room, it shouldn’t be assumed all food/drinks is to be charged to a room.
Second gripe, we paid and upgraded to a shared pool swim up room, what needs to be clear here is that this pool only has sun until around 11am/12pm, so if you want to sunbathe all day on your private bed you can’t and that’s what annoyed me. I wanted days where I just spent them on my private bed in the sun and couldn’t do this. So I feel I’ve over paid for something I couldn’t do/use which is a shame as this dampened my experience. *side note the private pools are in the sun all day.
Ooh we did the BBQ night and the food is absolutely incredible!! So much choice we were stuffed!!
I would stay again, I’d just have a standard room next time.
We've been here for eight nights and tonight is sadlly our last night at this wonderful hotel. We’re genuinely gutted to be leaving such a great place tomorrow. The location is perfect — far enough from Kos Town to be peaceful and relaxing, but close enough that if you fancy a night out, it’s easily accessible by walking, scooter, bike or bus. The beach is beautiful, sandy and wonderfully quiet, with fantastic views across the Greek islands and towards Turkey. Our room has been clean, spacious and extremely comfortable, with housekeeping twice a day. The gym is well equipped, and the spa facilities are excellent too. But the biggest credit to the hotel has to be the staff. Everyone has been incredibly polite, friendly and helpful. They’re always on hand when you need them and genuinely can’t do enough for you. We came here wanting to completely switch off and relax — and that’s exactly what we’ve done. A fantastic stay in a beautiful location, made even better by the people who work here!
Visit to sister hotel. We are staying at sister hotel The Ritual.. Jonathon you are a huge asset!! thank you for welcoming us after a day of cycling the island. Welcoming, friendly informative, warm and and... Was a way better welcome than at Pellagos.
Second time at the Aqua Blu in Kos. You cannot fault the hotel in any way whatsoever. All the team are brilliant, every area, no exceptions. It’s not the cheapest by any means but I guess that’s why it’s perfect.
