Blue Lagoon Resort is a hotel complex with 662 guestrooms. This all inclusive hotel is situated in Lambi, only 75m from the sandy/shingle beach, 2 km from the centre of Kos town, 1.5 km away from the nearest shopping area and 22 km from the airport. This beautiful hotel has got a 1-storey main building, six 2-storey accommodation buildings at the main complex and 3 satellite buildings.
The facilities at the Blue Lagoon Resort include the Nisos buffet restaurant, the Mythos Greek buffet restaurant, the Mesogios restaurant, the Athina Pool restaurant, the Chinese restaurant as well as the Italian a' la carte restaurant with adults only section. Have an exotic drink at one of the numerous bars; the Pool bar, the Piano bar with live music, the Lounge and Animation bar or at any of the others waiting for you. If you long for something sweet, visit the pancake station at the main pool island or at the Waterpark.
Our guests can choose between five pools; the 4000 sq meters main swimming pool and a smaller of 200 sq meters for children at the main complex as well as two swimming pools for adults and one children's pool at the satellite buildings. The hotel includes also a water park about 500 m from the main complex with a Lazy River, Aqua land as well as slides for adults and bigger children. Activities like mini soccer, tennis, mini-golf and beach volley will help you keep fit during your holidays, while the Votsalo Spa is the perfect place to relax and rejuvenate your body and skin, offering a variety of beauty treatments as well as a fitness room, an indoor heated pool, sauna, steam bath and whirl pool for guests over 16 years of age.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it to family and friends!
The hotel is quite large, but it never feels overwhelming. There are several accommodation buildings spread throughout the resort, with beautiful, well-maintained gardens in between. There are flowers, palm trees and lush green lawns everywhere, and you can really see how much care and attention is put into keeping the whole property looking so beautiful.
There is something for everyone here. The hotel has several swimming pools with different depths, a water park, water attractions for children, daily activities and evening entertainment. The entertainment team is fantastic — they invite guests to join in without ever being pushy, which we really appreciated. Every evening there is a different dance and music show, and the performances are genuinely beautiful and very enjoyable to watch.
The food selection is huge, whether you are there for breakfast, lunch or dinner. There is plenty of variety, so everyone should be able to find something they like. The dishes are generally quite mildly seasoned, but there are plenty of spices available if you prefer your food with a little more flavour.
The staff deserve a special mention. The service was excellent throughout our stay. Everyone was extremely friendly, helpful and genuinely attentive to the guests. The staff speak English very well, and some even know a few words in German or Polish, which was such a lovely and thoughtful touch.
Overall, we had a really great experience. It is a place where you can relax, have fun and feel well looked after. We would happily come back and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great holiday!🌞🏖️🌊
Just had a week at this hotel. The site is absolutely massive and was spotlessly clean, and has just about every facility you could wish for including the biggest swimming pool we have ever seen. The staff could not have been more helpful. Rooms are comfortable although the bathroom in ours had some sort of stain on the floor. Busses into Kos town stop just outside the hotel and car hire is available.
We’ve just returned from Blue Lagoon Kos and, unfortunately, it was a bit of a mixed bag.
The entertainment team were brilliant and probably the highlight of the holiday. They worked incredibly hard and were great with everyone. The majority of the hotel staff were also super friendly and helpful, which definitely deserves a mention.
Unfortunately, there were quite a few negatives.
The rooms are definitely in need of a major upgrade. They look like they’ve taken a real battering over the years and are showing their age. We experienced a lot of ants even without eating in the room, not even sure if the rooms were even being cleaned just beds and towels topped up.
The hotel was also extremely loud, particularly late at night and into the early hours of the morning. Not ideal when you’re travelling with children and hoping for a decent night’s sleep.
The food was below average, and in my opinion there wasn’t a great deal that would appeal to children. We found ourselves struggling to find meals that the kids actually wanted to eat. The beer was also, quite honestly, undrinkable.
The lifeguards were another disappointment. We found some of them quite rude, particularly when speaking to children. The water park itself was also frustrating because it felt like they stopped people from using the slides for so many different reasons that it became almost pointless.
One other thing to be aware of is the location. Kos Town isn’t a particularly close walk, especially with a family. The roads and walking routes aren’t the best for taking young children either, so we’d recommend considering transport rather than relying on walking. Although taxis and busses are a nightmare to get!
For the money I would defo be looking to go somewhere else Kos is a beautiful place hotel was overall disappointing.
Reading the other reviews they have either come with no kids or they’re really easily pleased.
Me and my dad spent 7 days at this hotel and really enjoyed our stay, the food is good, the pool is big and there’s always sunbeds available. The staff were always really helpful and the entertainment team were great.
Stayed at the blue lagoon 16th of September for my wife's 50th , the transfer from Kos airport was around 30 mins to 45 depending on drop offs . Check in was quick and first experiences of the hotel from the outside where good , we checked in and got a buggy ride to our hotel room as its a large complex but an touch was the driver even carried our luggage up to our room nice !! the room was a good size and was cleaned on a daily basis with fresh towels . the shower was over the bath but facing the wrong way this was manageable but not ideal but that was the only fault really .
first morning we got to grips with the Lge complex which has maps dotted around and found out where most things where located and the short cuts to get to these which helped us feel more comfortable with our surroundings . main pool was massive and this is where the entertainment hang out there are several other pools including a small water park and kids splash areas which are all kept spotlessly clean .
Food was buffet style and there was always something to eat and show cooking on a few stations although i agree sometimes it was slightly on the cold side but there was always plenty of choice breakfast , Dinner and tea , add to this the 4 al a carte restaurants chinese,greek,italian and a themed one which we sampled 3 of not really Al a carte but food was ok the service was excellent though and they make u feel special in the restaurants but branded drinks are extra . All of the staff in the bars, garden areas and restaurant's were kind polite and very eager to help and this went for all the staff which from what i seen they work really hard and are very good at what they do .
Entertainment team were very present and chatted to the holidaymakers and put on day activities if you wanted to join and they generally gave off a fun vibe , the Nighttime shows where good although im not a fan of the how the chairs are laid out but that's a personal preference , but all of the entertainment team work hard to put on a show and they genuinely looked like they enjoyed themselves as well which was infectious and spread to the holiday makers .
A taxi into Kos town was around 10 euro and less than 10 mins worth a visit as is beautiful place with lots of pubs , shopping and places to eat .
