Sentido Pelagos Suites Hotel

Beautiful hotel not too far from Kos town. As previous reviews, taxis were quick some nights and others the wait was longer. Relaxing atmosphere throughout the hotel. All staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful, they couldn’t do enough for you. The food was very good, the buffet had a great selection. Really enjoyed the Italian restaurant and the lovely views at sunset. The snack bar and the drinks bar on the beach were also great. No problems getting sunbeds at the beach, the pools were busier but still beds available. The room (831) itself was nice enough maybe a little tired, but the view from the balcony wasn’t great. The spare ground across the road needs tidied up and taken care of for guests looking out from these rooms. I would return to Pelagos suites and maybe opt for a different room next time as everything else was brilliant.

⚠️GUEST RELATIONS MANAGER LINA-UNACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE ⚠️

Update to our previous complaint dated 09 August: I am adding this update because, despite the assurances given to us by the hotel and Guest Relations, the matter remains unresolved and nearly three months have now passed without the promised reimbursement.

Guest Relations Manager— Lina

I want to specifically mention Lina from Guest Relations, who was repeatedly involved in dealing with us throughout this situation.

While we were at the hotel, Lina repeatedly assured us that we would be reimbursed for the belongings that had been disposed of by hotel staff. We were given an agreement to sign and were explicitly told that the reimbursement would be processed within 5 days. We trusted those assurances.

After we left the hotel, however, Lina stopped responding to our messages and we received no meaningful update regarding the reimbursement. It has now been nearly three months, despite the fact that we were told this would be resolved within five days.

The hotel has since tried to point to the fact that they offered us another three pairs of sliders. To be clear, this was only because the hotel had disposed of our belongings and we were left with just one pair of flip-flops each. We had no practical option other than to wear the temporary footwear provided to us. Offering replacement sliders in those circumstances does not compensate for the belongings that were lost or resolve the financial loss we have endured.

Similarly, a cabana was offered to us during our stay, but that does not justify or compensate for the substantial loss we suffered. It is also completely irrelevant to the outstanding reimbursement that was specifically agreed with us.

What is particularly disappointing is that Lina now appears to be using the fact that we accepted these temporary items as an explanation for why the reimbursement has not been processed yet. That is not what we were told at the hotel. We were given an agreement, we were assured the reimbursement would be processed within 5 days, and we relied on those assurances.

Lina was fully aware of what had happened and repeatedly assured us that the matter would be resolved. Three months later, we are still waiting.

Lina, you repeatedly assured us that this would be sorted. We trusted those assurances. The fact that you have since stopped responding and that the promised reimbursement remains outstanding after more than two months is extremely disappointing and, in our opinion, completely unprofessional.

The temporary sliders and cabana do not erase the loss we endured, nor do they change the commitment that was made to reimburse us. What we expected was simple: for the hotel to stand by its agreement and its promises.

Shame on the way this situation has been handled.

By far my favourite holiday I've been on in a long time. Made me wish for even more days!

From the second we arrived we were immediately impressed, we arrived very late at around midnight and Nikos the night manager checked us in super smoothly and the hotel even had arranged for some sandwiches and drinks in the room. It was also our anniversary so were greeted to some sparkling wine in the room too!

We spent 5 nights and booked the beach house, which is basically an apartment. Full kitchen, 2 rooms, living room and a little outdoor area a bit secluded from the hotel but exactly what we wanted.

Then day one we were greeted poolside by the amazing animation team lead by Dominika. They genuinely made our holiday as fun as possible, we were engaged in all of the day activities from morning yoga, darts and ping pong tournaments. Then when night rolled around there was plenty to do including quiz nights, bingo, a brilliant Broadway show, rock bands and more! Never have I seen a team so friendly, even stopping to chat occasionally if we passed them! Special shout to Nikol for always doing everything with a smile!

Next the food, on point nearly every day. Breakfast solid with classics bacon egg sausage etc pastry, cereals, continental, few surprises a few morning. All perfect. Lunch was probably our favourite meal, the variety was amazing, different every day and all delicious. Evening meals were themed every other night, the only one that was actively disappointing was mexican night, un-cooked taco shells (The kind that need baking before serving) and the favours just not really hitting like everything else.

Drinks then are ideal as you'd expect, bar staff brilliant super fast and friendly. Even every week we think there is a change to the cocktail of the day, our went from Negroni to Mojito. One thing to be aware, not everything on the menu is included but it's made very visable what is. "Classic" cocktails were not included but there were a variety of hotel made ones that were just as good! Iced coffees when the sun was hot and shots of ouzo or tequila for later all included so ideal.

Private beach with a bar and lots of sunbeds at the front. Also policy of the hotel is no reservation of sunbeds before 9am so we never struggled to find somewhere to sit. Massive main pool plus an adult only section that was respected. Nice size gym we used once and a football / tennis court you could rent for extra so we didn't in the end.

Perfect location to get into the town of Kos if you want, we had a morning run there and back which was about 7k if that's your thing 😅

Sunny every day, no cloud cover but plenty of shade provided if needed.

Overall, the best holiday by far made even better by everyone that works here!
