Kipriotis Panorama Hotel and Suites

Amazing Hotel in a great location, close to a beautiful beach with incredible views and lots of fun activities. The Hotel grounds and rooms are very clean and spacious. The food they serve is good and I was particularly happy that they have a wide variety of options, that everybody enjoys.

The Reception staff are very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. They always made sure to help us with any request we had, often the same day. The Bar and Restaurant staff are friendly and extremely helpful throughout the day and night.

On top of that, Grace from the Animation team is amazing. I had a lot of fun playing darts and chatting with her. Only downside is that there wasn't much Entertainment at night, which was unfortunate.

We returned early hours this morning as a family of 5 including 2 teenagers. Definitely wouldn't rate this hotel 5*, but was a nice break away together.

Upon arrival we were given a bill of 210 EUR for two rooms, tourist tax of 15EUR per room per night. I feel I need to highlight this with TUI, as upon booking it stated £25pp in additional tourist charges.

We were allocated two rooms, next to each other on floor 2 with side sea view. Rooms are dated with stained carpets. View from balcony was air conditioning units and strewn clothing from rooms above and what we later realised was vomit from rooms above. The sea view was actually nice, with views of cruise ships and yachts and views to Kos Marina.

The pool area was buzzing with music throughout the day. Sunbeds are in need of updating, but were usable. Drinks from the pool bar were okay, but felt watered down. On one occasion we didn't use the main pool as it was green, people were still using, however a family member had a bad experience of using a green pool on a previous holiday in Malta so we stayed away. To be fair to the hotel, it was sorted overnight and was fine the next day.

Food was just okay. Lovely selection of salads, I don't usually eat much meat on holiday, that's my personal preference, however our party seemed to enjoy the meat offerings. Only thing for me is the no omelette station at breakfast, we've travelled extensively over the years and hotels, especially of 5* rating have an omelette station with omelettes made to order. The snack bar gyros were nice, the guy to be fair was on occasions a bit moody, but he was on his own most of the time, with queues out of the door in 38 plus heat.

On two occasions the lift broke down that I know of, one with me and my daughter in. This scared me! The lift dropped and we were trapped for around 5 mins, absolutely no urgency from staff. I understand these things happen, but it seemed like it was a regular occurrence. On another occasion, me and my daughter took the stairs from our floor and heard screaming and the dreaded alarm sound from the lift, we raised the alarm and a member of staff came to open the lift to find a lady, distraught with her two children, she was visiting the hotel from the hotel next door, sadly it put her off booking this hotel.

We visited a hotel next door, and were told we had to pay for drinks, everything seemed to be extra charge. The beach was a short walk down the hill with a drinks bar for our hotel and the other Kipriotis hotels, limited drinks selection, but sunbeds were 'free'. The guy behind the bar was brilliant! Made us laugh and had a great sense of humour.

The bus stop is close to the beach, and cost 11EUR for all 5 of us into Kos Town. I've heard we could have walked in less than an hour, but we had a member of our party not very nimble on their feet. Kos Town was lovely.

I feel I need to mention our maids, they were lovely! Very friendly.

Overall we wouldn't return to this hotel, renovation is badly needed. I can imagine years ago it was a lovely 5* hotel, however it's not moved with the times. It wasn't a cheap holiday either, especially being August. At the moment, given my review, I wouldn't recommend this hotel either, until improvements have been made.
