Start by saying the hotel is generally clean and nice.
We had issues with having our rooms located over the service yard and being woken up at 7am for first few day. Complained to reception day two and got move on day four to other side of hotel which was much quieter.
The acoustics generally on internal walls is very poor and you can hear everyone walking along the corridors. Late arrives will wake you up unless your a very heavy sleeper.
We did have an ant issue in one of our rooms which took the hotel team three visits to address.
The main male toilets off reception had urinals out of action for a week and the toilet floor was very grubby looking. Not a great first impression.
After ten days all our keys stopped working for both our rooms, obviously the hotel had registered up for ten days rather than two weeks.
Other slight things that could be improved:-
Main reception bar that serves the best coffee should be open earlier. Having to wait till 9am for the only place that serves proper coffee is not great.
Pool towels have to be collected from spar and that does not open until 9am. These should be available earlier. Many times when we have taken towels back to replace at 5pm the new towels have not been available meaning we could not go down to pool until after 9am..
The main restaurant staff seem to be overworked and generally most working tables are very grumpy.
Most of the front desk staff are rude / grumpy and certainly don’t give you a good first impression of the hotel.
Good points:-
All booking restaurants were good and staff were excellent.
The bar staff at pool bar and main bar generally good and friendly, especially Peter at the pool bar
The entertainment team were all very friendly.
This hotel could be very good under the right management.
Would love a discussion with the general manager but staff won’t allow you to speak them..
Here until Sunday if GM was to discuss.
Stayed here with my husband and daughter for 10 nights. So glad we chose this wonderful hotel!
Check in: Quick Friendly staff Took cases to our room
Room:
sea view room at front of hotel (not much of a view as sea was in the distance across a road)
Quiet - this is why we chose the room
Good A/C
Lovely modern room
Large comfy bed
Mini bar restocked daily
Toiletries in bathroom
Bath robes (a nice touch)
Cleaned daily (cleaners friendly)
Towels replenished a few times during our stay
Good sized balcony with lounger
Hairdryer in bathroom
Plenty of space to hang / store clothes
Safe - guy came to fix this as was not working
Took own iron as no irons available
Not keen on the translucent window from bathroom to bedroom!
Staff / Service: All staff friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs The hotel is very clean - huge team of staff cleaning. I noticed staff would always wipe surfaces if water marks left etc. Entertainment encouraged you to get involved but not pushy Restaurant staff are usually quick to bring water to table or ask if you’d like wine etc Hotel knew it was our daughter’s birthday so they brought not one but two chocolate cakes to our room (different days) as a nice surprise! friendly staff at Moonlight, Indian and Italian restaurants who looked after you very well
Food/drink:
Best food we’ve ever had on AI
Excellent variety of food
Always looked forward to seeing what delicious food the chefs were preparing
Really enjoyed 3 restaurants mentioned above (didn’t try the Mexican or Japanese)
Book your restaurant slots straight away on the hotel app (scan QR at reception) otherwise you might miss out
Great Cocktails - best ones at Moonlight bar (additional special touches)
Some premium drinks included eg Baileys. Some you had to pay extra for.
Freshly squeezed orange juice and the ice cream freezer was a hit
Try the Gelateria at the waterpark - a wide selection of ice cream
Entertainment: Can’t comment on everything as we only went to amphitheater once to watch a show (a very good show!) Amphitheater gets very busy for the 9:30 show so go early Live music around pool bar a few times a week - loved this! Some great performers.
Pools/ Waterpark: Wow! To think this is all inclusive, the waterpark is amazing. Never seen anything like it. Slides for all ages. Caution - Can be very slippy! Another pool by waterpark (not quite as deep as main pool) with snack bar Lifeguards very good Main pool is quite deep throughout so consider arm bands /inflatables for little ones! We were kindly given an inflatable by someone leaving, so it’s worth waiting instead of buying one. We then passed it on to a little boy before we left. Get Pool towels from the Spa- can swap daily if you wish
Beach: Only went here for a quick look Very hot in afternoons - wear something on your feet! Sand is gritty Lots of loungers Could see people doing water sports Snack bar right next to beach
We will definitely be back as it was a truely amazing holiday which was a step above any other all inclusive we’ve visited!
The location was beautiful. The rooms were very spacious with plenty of storage. There were king size beds. The bathroom was good. There were complimentary drinks and water in the fridge which were refilled every day.
The atmosphere was very relaxed.
The food was plentiful and diverse although not so tasty.
There is a very serious safety issue around the pool which needs to be taken care of. The paving is extremely slippery, including the steps that lead down to the water. Until we understood the situation both the grown ups and children found themselves on their backside. This is not ok at all and could be very easily improved by putting down rubber strips all over. Also the pool is enormous with only two
Places that you can walk down the steps into the pool. Very far to walk if you don't sit next to them which is not always possible as the beds are quicky snatched up in the morning.
The beach was not too bad .
The reception staff were amazing and very helpful, but could not do anything about the pool situation.
Ambily and czarina give a good and professional massage at princess andriana when we as couple booked a massage! We can recommend it!
Very good experience Riki was very good and very helpful with a lot of patience I recommend to go to Riki she’s very professional
