Discover a 5-star luxury resort hotel with unique character and world-class interior design and exterior landscape, blending Santorini's history with contemporary flair. A move away from mass and speed, towards space, experiences, connections and slowness. An environment that combines comfort with authenticity, original style with unpretentious philosophy, passion for detail with personal attention in each guest's need.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
So close to being a 9/10 but it's those little things that should be right when you're at a resort like this. The place is great rooms were fantastic (although we did have an issue with ours which meant we eventually had to move). The issues with the hotel are so minor that they should be easy to fix - there's only one coffee/hot water machine in the restaurant - so you have to queue every morning, sounds minor, but when you've spent an hour of your holiday queuing for coffee it gets a little grating; there are nowhere near enough staff - service suffers, which shouldn't happen when you're paying this much.
We first stayed at NOŪS three years ago and were completely blown away. It was one of my favourite places I have ever been, which is exactly why we chose to come back.
I am glad to say the things that make it special physically have not changed. The pool, the rooms and the overall beauty of the place are still stunning. On looks alone it is as good as I remembered.
Sadly, a lot else has changed. The vitamin bar has closed, the Elios restaurant has closed and the on site shop has gone too. 3 things that made this place special.
The service is virtually non existent, and it is painfully obvious the hotel is hugely understaffed. Most of the staff also seem to lack the experience you would expect at this level. Breakfast is beyond average, honestly more what you would expect from a 3 star hotel than a 5 star one.
It is a real shame, because there are one or two genuinely good people here, and when you ask them directly they will go out of their way to help. The WhatsApp service is also excellent and one of the few things that works as it should.
I have written this more in sadness than anger. This was one of my favourite places in the world, and it is hard to watch it struggle. I really hope they invest in the team and bring it back to what it was, because the bones of something exceptional are still very much here.
Firstly, the positive points. The hotel is beautifully designed, with the rooms spread out in a large area so it does not feel like a crowded hotel. The swimming pool is magnificent and the fact that the pool never seemed crowded is an example of the thought that went in to designing the hotel. Our room which had its own swimming pool was large and well designed and the pool was definitely a great luxury. However, we experienced no hot water in the shower, the reception staff were average, something arranged was delivered to the wrong room, one day the cleaning was not done until 16:00, and the housekeeping left the door open (by mistake). I should add that when I spoke to the hotel manager, he was very apologetic and looked after us afterwards, and the only regret was that we hadn't spoken to him earlier to avoid our disappointment. I should add that breakfast was average, but with plenty of choice. However, although they had hard boiled eggs, they were not keen on helping with a request for a 4-minute soft boiled egg! In short, a great hotel, but poor service, something the manager promised would be addressed for future guests. One person stood out amongst the staff. Fernando was attentive, helpful and pleased to make our stay enjoyable. Hope he gets praised for his service.
Besides a few nice staff members- this hotel and stay was one to forget. We booked thru capital one portal as part of their “premium” properties (a joke on capital one which I’ll make note of)
Paid for a room with a private pool. The pool was freezing and the room was extremely dated. Looks NOTHING to the photos they showed on their website.
No glass shower- instead a wall The shower was clogged and not draining The service was slower than slow at everything.
Check in is supposed to be at 3 but we couldn’t check in until 4. Went to the restaurant to wait and couldn’t get anyone to help. Food came out cold.
Loved the island and will be back to visit but will be staying elsewhere. Not worth experience given the price . Besides the pool- this resort and experience was forgettable unfortunately.
Location was great - right in the centre of the island - most towns were 10-15 minutes away, with a slightly longer journey to Oia
We had a balcony rooms which was a good size with a large bathroom and separate toilet. Towels were fluffy, toiletries were high quality, towels were changed as often as needed. Everything in the room was very clean.
Breakfast had a huge amount of choice - the choice didn't vary much from day to day but there was lots to choose from.
Lunch by the pool was very good and the cocktails in the bar were great.
All the staff were friendly and helpful.
Gym was good - plenty of equipment and free weights. Pool area very good with no need ever to rush for a sunbed.
We would definitely stay there again.
