We have recently returned following a couples holiday to celebrate our wedding anniversary. What a treat it was! Pure luxury and complete relaxation. The hotel was exactly what we needed, relaxed atmosphere, excellent, professional and friendly staff in an immaculately clean complex. We splashed out on a room with a swim up pool which was amazing. Rooms are really spacious and air con worked really well too. The hotel is located right on the strip so easy walking distance to all shops, pharmacy, bars, restaurants and the private beach. I felt safe walking along the strip at any time of the day. Locals are always so warm and welcoming without hassling you to buy! We really did have the time of our lives and would return again. The holiday wasn’t cheap but you do get what you pay for. We stayed half board but if we came again, I’d go B&B if it’s an option. Simply because of the options of restaurants around the hotel. The hotel food was amazing and there were always so many options. All fresh and kept well stocked. Big shout out to the entertainment, a very talented couple who performed a different set every night, we were blown away by the varied music they played. (I’m sorry I didn’t get their names, Yanis and his lovely wife) We went on the public bus to Fira on one day (that was an experience! I think they crammed on about 100 people) nevertheless, it only cost us £2.70 and we got there safely and enjoyed our day. Great advice from Tracey from Tui to get on the bus stop outside the church and not our hotel. Well worth a visit. We also went on the simply Santorini guided tour. Our tour guide Kim was so knowledgeable and approachable, we really did learn so much about the history of the Island. I would recommend the tour. Although we didn’t get to see the Santorini sunset, we did get up early to see the Perissa sunrise and I can only describe it as a magical experience. (Another great recourse Tracey our TUI rep) Thank you Santorini and Meltemi, we will return!
Had an amazing relaxing week at this hotel. We booked a swim up room based on the pictures on the TUI website showing loungers at the end of a decent sized pool, we were in room 112 which just had a small thin strip of water outside the room which I was disappointed with as wouldn’t have paid extra for a swim up if I’d known that’s what we’d get. Had similar in the sensatori resort in Egypt and concluded it wasn’t worth the money. Spoke to the lovely TUI rep and we were able to move into room 311 which was absolutely perfect and totally what I was expecting when we booked. We walked past the rooms with private pools and they looked amazing. Never a problem getting beds at the pool near the beach. Went to Poseidon a few times which is on the beach, food gorgeous, ice cold beers and friendly staff. We did the Simply Santorini tour which was the highlight of our week, also did the catamaran trip which although nice, was not worth the money and very disorganised when we arrived at the port. Highly recommend Dorian’s bar for amazing well priced cocktails. All staff were amazing, especially the lovely lady who greeted us each morning for breakfast , although we did get told off by a cleaner for leaving the doors out to the patio open 😂 food was fine, we always found something to have although the buffet area is quite small so was busy at times, evening entertainment was not good hence why the bar area was very quiet as most people had gone out for drinks etc.
Me and Lisa have stayed in some luxurious places .the staff have been nothing short of amazing and catered for every need .it has been truly amazing and can’t wait to bring are fiends back with us . And dimitri the service manager has managed his team to making everyones experience special .the rooms are awsome we have whirlpool room and honestly it’s a great retreat from beach .it gets the sun all day after 10am if you want to retreat for bit of you time .big thank you to Markos for understanding my attemp of Greek language in the Ala cartrestraunt 👌👏🫶ps pic of church is at end of avenue from hotel melmeti on your door step
This hotel is stunning! My Husband and I stayed in a room with a private pool, which was amazing. The location pf the hotel is really good, right on the beach, with restaurants, shops and bars.
The staff are so welcoming and polite, nothing is too much trouble here.
The vibe is chilled with entertainment of sort every night, frim a silent disco to pop, to jazz pop.
We would definitely recommend and will be back.
We had a lovely week’s stay at the TUI Blue Meltemi in a private pool room. The room itself was beautiful – modern, stylish and spotlessly clean throughout our stay. Although it was on the smaller side, it was very well designed and had everything we needed. The private pool was also lovely, but unfortunately it was absolutely freezing! We’ve stayed in several private pool rooms before and this was by far the coldest pool we’ve experienced. It was refreshing once you were in, but it did take away from the experience a little as it was such a shock to get into. Our room had sunshine all day, so we expected it to warm up, but it never really did.
The rest of the hotel is equally stylish, modern and impeccably clean. The housekeeping team were fantastic – our room was spotless every day and the maids were always so friendly.
Where the hotel fell short for us was the food. We found ourselves getting quite fed up with the buffet, particularly at breakfast. While it was better than many hotel buffets we’ve had, we personally didn’t feel it was of a 5-star standard. We’ve stayed at other 5-star luxury hotels and, in our opinion, they don’t really compare. Having just one buffet restaurant and one à la carte restaurant that you’re only able to visit once during your stay felt quite limiting, and the food became repetitive as the week went on.
The staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and always greeted us with a smile, which created a lovely atmosphere. However, breakfast service could definitely be improved. We were often left waiting for tea and coffee and frequently ended up helping ourselves, despite being told that drinks were served by the waiting staff.
There were also a few small details that didn’t feel particularly luxurious. The plastic glasses used around the pool and in the rooms were old, scratched and discoloured, and when our bedding was changed halfway through the week, the sheets were noticeably thin and heavily bobbled from wear. They’re only small things, but they don’t really match the expectations of a 5-star hotel.
Overall, we had a really enjoyable holiday and the hotel itself is beautiful, clean and well maintained, with genuinely friendly staff. With a few improvements to the dining experience and some attention to the finer details, it could feel much closer to the luxury standard it’s aiming for.
