Beautiful, modern hotel with a great view!

Review by KingaAndBenedikt Mainz, Germany

On arrival we were pleasantly surprised when we were given a free upgrade. We were now in a spacious deluxe suite on the upper floor with a private jacuzzi and a breathtaking view of the caldera and the villages of Fira and Oia. An amazing feeling to spend a few pleasant hours there and relax during the mild nights / evenings either with the sun setting or under the starry sky.

The entire hotel complex, be it the room, pool, spa, fitness or dining area, is very modern, clean and attractive, you feel very comfortable during your stay...

The very nice staff also contributes to that. A big praise goes out especially to Stella, who welcomes the guests to the spa. She was really incredibly friendly, funny and it was a pleasure talking to her. Of course also the massage itself was really amazing and perfect. We can only recommend paying a visit to the spa during your stay.

The hotel was very well prepared for Corona, and the staff implemented it very well. Upon arrival we checked in using our mobile phones and also the breakfast we could order one day in advance. The next morning we could either enjoy it in the dining area, in the room, or probably next to the pool. The breakfast buffet contained a large selection of very tasty, high quality and freshly prepared food.

The location of the hotel is also very nice. The complex is right next to the road, but you hardly notice it, since in Akrotiri - unlike Fira or Oia - it's rather quiet, you can relax very well, be it by the pool or on the terrace. Also because of Corona there weren't that many guests in the hotel, which is why there were no problems with noise.

We had an amazing stay at Acroterra Rosa and recommend everyone to spend their next Santorini stay here.

Lovely hotel with super staff

Review by Simon R Dublin, Ireland

We had a lovely stay here. The hotel is in a quiet part of the island with some spectacular views. The hotel itself is well maintained and has a very nice pool area...

The food was excellent and good value for money. The breakfast was included in our deal and had a fine selection of choices. The staff were absolutely superb. They helped us and made sure every request was met. Luka on the front desk was especially friendly. I would be delighted to stay here again.

Very good hotel and hospitality The location is great, it faces the caldera, amazing view .

The staff is more than excellent .

The breakfast is great . Our suite was very beautiful facing the caldera with two balconies. I enjoyed the toiletries in the bathroom, they were Mugler toiletries which was a treat. We had to leave early before the breakfast time, the reception prepared us breakfast box to take I recommend this hotel for every one You will not regret it.

You shouldn’t stay anywhere else

Review by M6665BKrobertab Washington DC, District of Columbia

#1 is the People, Laura, Luca, Christina… everyone, is so kind and smart. I think I heard Laura speak 4 languages while I was there. From restaurant recommendations to having any kind of special request, they will make it happen...

#2 the rooms and the view are the best. I challenge anyone to find a better view. The rooms are so classy and clean, everything is white so you know if there is any dirt. Everything smells clean and you never want to leave #3 you feel at home. You pull up to a parking lot as if it is your driveway and walk to your room that is only steps away. The cozy Greek Orthodox Church that you pass on your way reminds you that you are in Greece and gives you the most peaceful feeling. #4 value! The rates are amazing. Seriously, I am worried they will go up because there is no way you get all that for the prices they charge. Some rooms have private plunge pools… any other hotel would charge at least $700-$1000 per night for the level of service and amenities.

Overall the impression was very good.

Review by anastasia_adventures Switzerland

We have stayed in this hotel in july for 10 days. First of all I would like to notice some small problems that with good will of the management can be solved. 1...

The cleaning. One of the ladies kept leaving not clened wc and forgetting to put soap and essential goods for the bathroom, the bed was not ironed after her (so I dont know if she didnt change it or didnt do well the bed). 2. They have typical greek cheeses for breakfast and pancakes, honey, bread, etc and the choice is nice but I missed porridge (hot oat). But I have to undeline that the guys in the dining room were all kind and professional, I felt attention and I thank them for this. 3. The pool is very nice, with small hydro area and the whole area is clean and pleasant. The view to the Caldera is amazing (but consider that unfortunately in front there is a road that devides the hotel from the rock, it can be a bit noisy) 4. The room: we had a standard junior suite as they call it, but the rooms are not big, looks very standard double room and has some points I have to notice to the owner:

  • the room is good and modern but there is not so comfortable closet (there are no shelves for underwear, but only a place to hang some clothes), so we had to put all the small stuff all over the room
  • the bathroom is with shower without any door (nice stylish walls but sometimes you find the wet floor)
  • lack of light in the bathroom makes it difficult to put the make up (i suggest you put the small mirror with light)
  • there is no place to dry the wet clothes at the terrace (but here I have to precise that the staff was very kind and gave me a dryier which was awesome because its very windy and i could dry properly my clothes)
  1. I totally loved the small church on the way to reception. Lovely thought of the owner. I visited it every day and it became a ritual. Quite and peaceful place with very nice icons.
  2. The parking is spaceous and we used it with comfort.
  3. The position of the hotel is great, amazing view not only on volcano but also for the sun rise. It was easy and fast to go to the best beaches at Perivolos or fish restaurants at Vlychada.
  4. I used a spa treatments, it is a pity but the spa is closed and only the treatments are possible due to covid etc. I have had a great cretan massage with russian specialist and it was very good. The spa area is nice and clean.
  5. Only one thing i didnt like about the room a lot ( the guests above us had a swimming pool in the room, the private one and if they switch it on at 2 am at night, the noise is strong and comes down to the room under).
  6. For the last but not for the least I want to thank mr. LUCA and mrs. LAURA, who work at reception for very kind, welcoming and helpful way to treat the clients. Luca helped us in many things and reccomended nice places to visit at the island.

I would give a nice vote to this hotel. At least 9/10. Things to make the room more comfortable are my reccomendations.
