Awesome place in Fira

Review by 968balajiv Minneapolis, Minnesota

Great place to stay in Fira. It is just 10 mins by walk to the Fira center. The room and all the facilities were awesome...

The staff very nice particularly Lola who helped us explain all the things to do in Fira. This time our trip was short, but next time this will be my choice to stay.

Exceeded expectations

Review by 833costasm

Me and my wife visited Astro Palace during August and this was the highlight of our vacation!!!! We were given detailed information upon arrival and in general all of the staff were so friendly and helpful. They booked everything for us and improved our Santorini experience by far! Regarding our room it was spacious, clean and with a very beautiful private pool!! Lastly dinner at the hotel was so delicious! A big thanks to Lola, Hope and all of Astro Palace team! Can't wait to be back!!!

Not at all 5 star and location is a bit nasty

Review by LazyL_13 London, United Kingdom

Right now hotels is Santorini are all charging pretty full rates because they can but you’d hope to get a decent return on your money all the same. But we found lots that was disappointing about Astro Palace

Location - a few minutes away from the main town but the walking route is up a rough concrete path (be careful not to be bulldozed by an incoming tourist buggy at full speed), along a busy road which you have to cross (pedestrian crossings count for nothing) and then through a giant coach park where they all leave engines running and belch diesel fumes as you walk by. Once you’re in the hotel, some of the rooms (including ours) face the main road at one side, so we have constant road noise...

Room - decent size, but not all sockets work, which is a pain in an age of carrying multiple devices. And there is only one switch for all the lights to be on or off, no ability to turn them on/off selectively. No hooks anywhere for hanging clothes or towels and the bathroom could have been a bit bigger without sacrificing much noticeable room space.

Service - warm and friendly but hopelessly incapable. Maybe they’ve had problems recruiting in time for the sudden return of tourists, but again when paying stiff rates you’d hope to find staff capable of more than just trying to flog massages.

Food - breakfast was delivered to our room due to COVID. But near our last day we discovered they also serve by the pool which would have been much nicer.

Pool - given this hotel is not on the side of the caldera but in a flat bit of land, you’d think they could have stretched the size of the main pool but instead it’s mostly for show.

Perfect hotel for a family

Review by saraaBella1

We enjoyed staying at Astro Palace. Ahead of our arrival I contacted them that we have a 1 year old and they were very accommodating for us. They arranged a sitter, crib and a high chair...

It was a quiet hotel with a nice pool. Spa service was great along with the breakfast. I would highly recommend it as it is hard to find a kids friendly hotel. Thank you all for your hard work and having us. I would definitely go back.

Aegeo spa and Lola will make your stay incredible

Review by Meander65804955467 Thousand Oaks, California

This is a very nice property in a great location, close enough to the caldera of Fira but not right in the middle of all the crazy traffic. However, what makes this place special are the staff!!! Lola at the front desk was unbelievable, she was helpful beyond words. She Went above and beyond to make you feel welcome and help out with whatever you needed...

Also the spa/massage place here Aegeo is unbelievable, the ladies here are incredible, Tania, Hia and Gabriela were fantastic, my wife and I got a couples massage, it was so good we went back again the next day, had we stayed there more we probably would have gotten a couples massage every day!!! Thank you Everyone for making our stay awesome!!
