This town hotel is very nicely situated a few minutes' walk from the town centre of Fira and offers its guests wonderful views to the Aegean Sea. The closest beach lies around 6 km from the hotel. Guests may rent a car or take the public transport to visit most historic sites of touristic interest on Santorini. This is a wonderful place to relax after a long day exploring the island.

This was our first stop on our honeymoon. The hotel is beautiful and centrally located just outside Fira downtown. The staff is exceptional (especially Elvina!!) and the food is delicious...
Including pictures of the resort and view from our room. We will recommend this lovely hotel to anyone we know heading to Santorini!
Having booked a week in this hotel for the price charged (Solo traveler get charged for two) I was expecting them to be at least on the ball. I’d rate the hotel as a four not five and with a need to improve to keep the four. Somethings were not the hotels fault I booked through Hays Travel a TUI holiday but as hays didn’t pass on the TUI reference number I couldn’t contact them because everything goes through the TuI app...
Even the hotel (their platinum collection) haven’t been able to contact them leaving messages with the Ireland office with no response.
They now have a number which I tracked down online not an easy task. However four hours of my holiday later resolved.
Now to the hotel.
Reception, good information about the nearby town /recommendations.
The Room , looks like it’s had a refresh but not to a high standard bad Finnish edges etc.
The electrical trip fuse board buzzed all night I left the air con on to drown out the noise.
The usual soaps bars and bottles etc all good robes and slippers. Mini bar air con balcony was small you can’t sunbath there, table and two chairs which are uncomfortable more design over function looks dated. You get two complementary bottles of water per day although sometimes I only got one.
Also milk for the tea and coffee was missed most days so had to ask the bar for some.
Breakfast. I’ve only once found a hotel (Thailand)
That actually thought through how a buffet breakfast would work in practice ie, a logical order so you don’t have to keep going back for things.
Here however little though has been given.
Only big plates, no way of having milk for tea.
When you go to breakfast some are ask coffee or tea if it’s tea they bring you a tea pot of hot water you have to pick a tea and put it in yourself a bit late as a tea drinker , if it’s coffee they bring you a coffee. Just bring a tea pot with tea in it and some way of having a milk jug.
I had to ask for a pot for tea or a coffee only on the last few days did get asked like the rest did.
The staff were pleasant and efficient sometimes a bit too efficient having my bowl of cereal whipped away from me at such speed I wondered if I just dreamt the episode.
Don’t forget the room tax. €4 per night as I wasn’t informed about it when booking my holiday.
Don’t get a room facing the road it can be quite noisy. You will get a Sea view from most rooms anyway.
The last three nights of my stay the room above me had guests staying in there as I could hear a pin drop and everything else that they dropped all night.
Look this could seem like a moan and your right it is.
It’s a nice hotel but could be so much nicer.
I had a look at the Gym door lock couldn’t find the sauna or steam room I’m sure they are there.
The pools look lovely and are the jacuzzi function on them don’t work though. The staff are very attentive about the sun beds which means you can usually find one to use without much hassle.
Checked into the hotel for 4 days. It has great amenities with a pool and fitness centre. The breakfasts were lovely and the staff were very friendly and pleasant...
The rooms were lovely and clean, with a lovely balcony. Would recommend!
Despite having traveled many places in the world, I've never felt compelled to post a hotel review before. But this one deserves some special attention. I can only assume that many of these earlier reviews are fake because our experience was far from positive.
First off, hotel is somewhat remote and a long, dangerous walk, due to traffic, from all the activity...
But, worse yet, we were placed in the wrong room with only a view of a desolate field. The hotel staff completely abdicated responsibility and pawned me off to the tour operator who, in turn, got no cooperation from the hotel either.
All that they offered was free drinks at the bar - an offer that they denied at check out when I was charged for every order. There were also a number of other unexpected "local" charges and taxes for our "prepaid" stay. Very poor business practices.
The room was small, smelly, and hot. The air conditioning didn't work. Neither did the television, phone and, most importantly, one of the two main lights. I immediately asked the front desk for assistance in getting these things addressed and three days later, nothing was done.
At check in, our room was not ready despite our arrangements for early arrival. But instead, we were greeted with a faux-friendly host who proceeded to use this time that we were trapped poolside with no place to go in order to give us an hour long sales pitch for "extra" tours that we needed to take. Never mind, that we had already booked and prepaid for these same types of tours. The hard sell went on anyway.
All in all, Santorini is a beautiful place with wonderful people but The Majestic is simply a place to avoid as your home away from home.
We mistakenly left some souvenirs in our room upon check out. We went back to retrieve them and was told there was nothing left in the room. Beware!! Don’t leave anything of value because they will take your stuff!
