Wow, I loved this small luxury hotel overlooking the Caldera, in Santorini. It was divine, and I am so happy that I stayed here. Incredible views, and excellent service...

It is a special place indeed. I will definitely return, as Santorini was one of the highlights of my trip to Greece. Alexia at the front desk was wonderful, as was Zanny at the Bar/Restaurant area. Santorini is one of my favorite islands in the world, up there with St. Barts, Bermuda, and some others. Just Stunning! A must visit, and do splurge, and stay here.

Service/View: Can't get better but mind the stairs!

Review by MartinNiemoller Los Angeles, California

Service/View: Can't get better but mind the stairs! The hotel name says a lot about access for the disabled or poorly-abled. Please do not complain about the stairs! If you do you have not done your homework! If you complain about the view, you're blind! We were 10 days in Greece: 3 cities and the WOW moment out of all of them (including views of the Acropolis) was 20 steps from our taxi letting us off at the "entrance" to the hotel! Do yourself a favor and make sure you arrive during day time!

There are some amazing workers for this hotel who earn their keep so please tip them! The 'bellboys' are hulking guys that carry your luggage down (& up) dozens if not 100 stairs! Let them do their job! The breakfast in bed guys do the same with your meal each morning! Special shout out to Spiros, behind the bar who was so incredibly hospitable! Ditto goes for the receptionist staff who was so helpful but the evening person (don't remember her name but she's going off to university in Wales in a few weeks) was especially awesome!

The rooms are all different so see if you can get info/pictures about the interior of YOUR room! We had #15 & #16. Both were one "floor" below the pool/bar area...

#15 was a traditional room all on one level but #16 was artistically amazing with the bed on a raised stone area and the bathroom was also up some stairs. Gave #16 to my 20-something kids who have better mobility than their 50-something parents! Balconies were the same and AWESOME!

Avoid, subpar hotel in every way - it’s photos are deceptive

Review by 743685fgjddg Los Angeles, California

Horrible hotel. ADA nightmare. Our tiny, dark room was over 120 steps down from the top, so don’t forget your sunglasses...

Rooms were tiny and ceilings less than six feet in places. TVs we’re crummy, nonfunctional off brand Chinese and wifi was too weak to FaceTime anyone. Our “jacuzzi” suite was really just a lukewarm, overchlorinated bath tub. It didn’t get hot, which they said was because it was indoors. It was over 90F when we were there but AC was extremely weak. The pool is tiny - the wide shot angles are very deceptive. And it’s freezing! Uncomfortable all around, would not stay again. Hotel management is deceptive, get everything in writing. Not advantage for Hyatt members to stay here - zero points and no stay credits.

Nice small hotel in great location

Review by MissTeeQ1987

Very nice small and quiet hotel in a very good location, the view is great. You can walk along the cliffside with amazing views and restaurants/bars. We were looking for a small hotel in a good location - we loved On the rocks! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Keep in mind that there are many steps (like everywhere on the cliffside), the rooms are on different levels. The parking in the street behind the hotel is quite crowded, especially in the evening before sunset.

I would like to mention 2 things for improvement in room nr.6: The shower should be renovated, it doesn‘t meet the hotel standard...

The fittings are old, worn out and calcified. And the bathroom doors should be cleaned more thoroughly (water stains, dusty doorknobs), especially before new quests check in. We asked the staff to clean them again and it was allright, however it spoiled our first impression a bit...

Beyond the expected feast for the eyes

Review by Cezara01 Basel, Switzerland

We had a 4 night stay and we arrived on my husband's birthday. Hotel was kind and friendly to have assisted me in preparing a surprise welcome in our room that made our day. We enjoyed each and every second here...

Both check in and check out were smooth and efficient, big up for the help with carrying our luggages all the way to our room and back. All staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect and our wishes fulfilled from the moment we arrived until we departed. Views are to die for and definitely sleep is overrated, as you can not have enough of these views. Our private terrace was our favourite place in the hotel. We had breakfast served on our terrace every day and the experience was priceless. Breakfast was diverse and complex, designated for all needs. The therapist has totally pampered us. There is still though some room for improvements when it comes to bathrooms. Simply blessed to have been here. Keep up the wonderful work, thanking all the team for everything and hoping to be your happy guests soon again!
