I have just returned from 4 nights at this hotel and I can't fault it . We had room 7 which had amazing views . Loved having breakfast delivered Every morning to our balcony
All the staff we came into contact with were really helpful and friendly
Santorini is stunning and has to be seen to be believed
It is expensive though so bring plenty of spending money
There are some nice restaurants nearby and I also managed to walk into fira and back which at 7 months pregnant was no mean feat .
The Staff were excellent and the location very good with great views over the bay. It’s an easy walk to Thira if your reasonably fit and there are a few facilities locally. The reasons for the low score are primarily the rooms decor which was fairly rustic and effectively on a street passage which did make it a little noisy...
The wi fi reception indoors was poor, although it worked ok outside. The bar/ pool area was down several flights of stairs which could present some interesting problems if you imbibed to much on an evening!
The hotel is quite quirky with much of the accommodation built into the cliff to an amazing effect. The breakfast served to the rooms or bar area was excellent and the views from all the rooms was amazing. The location sitting between Thera and Oia was ideal and the 2 hour walk from Imerovigli to Oia was hilly but fabulous What made the stay special were the staff, from cleaners to managers, who were wonderful and could not have been more helpful and friendly.
We arrived for a 2 night stay in between our stay in Perissa . We were lucky enough to receive an upgrade from a superior double to a suite . We literally couldn’t fault anything about this hotel . Every member of staff goes out of their way to help you ...
Breakfast served on our terrace both mornings was absolutely brilliant . Maria in the spa was a delight and we both thoroughly enjoyed our massages . The views were out of this world and in an ideal position to walk to Fira or catch the bus to Oie We hope to return at some in the future and thanks to everyone for an amazing stay 😊
Well, where to begin? We've just had the best 10 day holiday! Fabulous hotel. 😎👍
Location... excellent...
Far enough away from the maddening crowds of Fira, but close enough to walk to. Also, only a couple of minutes off the road so not too far to walk to after drop off from the airport. But, beware, loads of steep steps down to lower rooms and the pool/bar area (like most of the cliffside hotels) but they do have rooms towards the top if needed. Also, the hotel is totally private...it does not have the public cliffside path running through it like some other cliffside hotels do. We did lots of hiking across the island, so the location of our hotel was perfect to walk to Oia on the gorgeous 8 mile trail. Plus, we were not too far from the main Fira bus station to go elsewhere.
The views... to die for. All rooms have Caldera views and their own balconies, but we were lucky to have one with its own rooftop terrace with uninterrupted views. Some rooms even have their own hot tub or pool.
The rooms... ours wasn't massive, but it was clean, comfortable, and had all we needed. They do have bigger rooms.
Breakfast... delicious and massive, and delivered to your balcony by very clever waiters balancing the big breakfast trays whilst walking up and down the steps. Such a treat.
Reception... very friendly and helpful, and give great advice on what to do.
The facilities... small clean pool (quite normal for cliffside hotels), lovely bar/ restaurant area, and an inhouse massage and spa (can't comment, didn't use).
The staff... exceptional !
👏👏👏👏
All of them so friendly, happy, polite, informative, and there for your every need without being in your face.
10 out of 10 for our wonderful 10 day stay. 😁
Thank you to everyone at On The Rocks for making our 30th wedding anniversary trip so amazing. 😘
