Paradise Resort Hero

Quite simply the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in, having to take room furniture outside just to make room for the luggage. Only 1 charging point in the whole room as well which is very inconveniently located away from the bed. The bathroom is much the same, very little space for personal items and the shower is a tiny box with a curtain that doesn't cover all the way across so the bathroom floor is soaking afterwards.

Despite seeing someone sweeping in between the plants of the hotel it is pretty unkempt as you can see from the picture with plants growing over the edge of walkways.

The pool area of the hotel is basic but probably the best part of this establishment.

The Wi-Fi is pretty poor across all areas of the hotel and connects then disconnects on a regular basis with a weak signal.

The breakfast options are extremely limited and what they do have is of very low quality as you can see by the picture of the boiled egg which is either out of date or had been cooked days before, because of this experience we had breakfast here only once and chose to pay across the road for breakfast despite it being included in our hotel stay.

All in all it's a very low quality basic hotel with a general manager that seems like he would rather be doing anything else with the mannerisms he expresses to the guests as he makes you feel like you're the issue.

Extremely disappointing.

My wife and I have just returned from Paradise resort and are in agreement that it is one of the friendliest, most relaxed and efficiently run hotels that we have stayed in during our 45 years of holidays.
The position of the hotel on the corner of the quaint little village is excellent. Just across the road is a well stocked supermarket as well as a few bars and restaurants.
George and the rest of the family work extremely hard to make the stay as relaxed as possible, this also applies to the waiting, catering and cleaning staff.
The resident Jack Russell is so funny, she seems to know who is a new arrival and sits with them in the hope of a small morcal, then moves on.
The rooms are more than adequate and have clean comfortable beds, bathroom, wardrobes and vanity units.
We will definitely visit again. There's no better place to recharge the batteries and relieve the stress of modern life.

Excellent family run small hotel 

We have just returned from our second visit here and will definitely be returning for a third! 
George and his lovely wife are wonderful hosts and nothing is too much trouble. 
The hotel is spotlessly clean and our room ( a bigger one than last time!) had a superb balcony overlooking the pool, it was clean and bright with what’s seems to be a recently renovated bathroom and huge shower!
The breakfast is basic but perfectly adequate - fresh fruits, juices, cereals, yoghurt, bread, meats, salad, eggs and yummy cinnamon bread. The pool area is beautiful and well maintained. I literally cannot find one fault with this hotel and can’t wait to go back! The best thing of all is the amazing team that looked after us, George, Yannis, Marion and everyone else, you were truly wonderful and we loved spending time with you 🥰 and of course Yoko the dog!
See you again next year…

Just perfect

Well well what a find this Hotel was if you want a superb relaxing base this is the one.All the staff were lovely and were always kind liked a chat.The rooms basic but had all you need air con and Safe with no extra charge which was an extra bonus. The food was great had the chicken fillets three times and drinks  good choice the Godfather cocktail was my favourite  , Some people made coment about the breakfast  it was fine plenty to go round nice fresh bread  ham cheese the usual Greek style this is a family run Hotel what do you expect this is not a 5star property but a cooked breakfast was available in Restaurant  if you wanted to pay for it.All the Hotel prices were good . Across the road from the Hotel is the Portobello Restaurant very good  lovely staff . Loved our time here will be back no doubt love to all.xxxxx

Simply the Best.xx

I picked Akrotiri because I was looking for the authentic Greece, which I have loved for the last 40 years. Yes it’s at a quieter pace and the village doesn’t have much going on but I like that. It is pricy, no doubt; all of Santorini  is except Fira harbour is cheaper.  We got woken by the church bells signifying the Ohi festival and a funeral. Every car has had an altercation. People watching is interesting.

It is close to the archeological site (we walked 2.5k, the beaches are famous and accessible with a bit of a walk.)There is horse riding nearby (£70, so steep, didn’t bother at that price, cheaper back home).

We were welcomed by the family who run the hotel, typically warm Greek hospitality - that was consistently good. Firstly I had asked for a twin. This wasn’t the hotel’s fault but there was no option to split the beds. Having a hairdryer and iron was great. I didn’t mind the regular wireless dropout.  It had a seating area which was nice with our adoptive pet cats and the hotel was superbly clean. But no coffee or tea in the room - unheard of. Coffee was €5 a cup. I am British. I run on tea. Just dreadful. It actually overshadowed my stay. 

Breakfast was good. I would recommend B&B. But half board - nooooooooo! The food was substandard, unless you live on chips or bread. The med is famous for salads (a plate of shredded cabbage was what we got), the kebabs were ok but we had to go and buy supplemental food as it was poor nutritionally and I craved fruit and vegetables and some flavour. It made for tragic main mealtime. Greeks make amazing ice cream. It was inedible. There was a very rigid and limited menu. 

But the view of the sea was nice and it was near the bus stop. The bus runs every hour. Go to the Lidl near Fira and stock up. Everything was overpriced around us.

The 3-star Paradise Resort is located in the village of Akrotiri on the south of Santorini. The hotel is set in a quiet area, allowing you to fully relax and rejuvenate during your stay.
