Timedrops Santorini

We spent 1 week in this beautiful village back in October. The Villa had a beautiful private pool, was well located within a small village, had private parking, and a wonderful host (Nikos). We enjoyed being away from the crowds of Oia/ Fira, and instead enjoy the proximity to local wine villages and the stunning volcanic beaches of Perissa. The Lidl supermarket was 10min drive away, we loved our stay and had a wonderful holiday.

Nice apartment with a lovely terrace and plunge pool. Plenty big enough for the four of us. Only complaint is some things didn't work such as the kettle and one of the bedside lights. So they hadn't been checked recently. The hot water was also a bit hit and miss. Sometimes there wasn't any for a day or two. The apartments were nicely designed and in part of the old castle complex. It was lovely exploring there in the evening. Lots of narrow windy alleyways. 10 mins from shops. The road to the site is very narrow and the complex is best avoided if you struggle on steep steps.

We stayed at Timedrops for 4 nights. The villa was lovely and clean. We had water, juice and waffles left for us. Niko was very friendly and helpful though check in was lengthy. The pool was absolutely freezing and had flies and bugs floating in it. Could do with a net so guests can fish them out! We were unable to use it. It’s a shame where these villas are situated as the area of Emporio is not very nice. Lots of derelict unused buildings,streets covered in dog and cat poo. After dark we stayed in as didnt feel safe. Dogs coming at you barking and growling. Local restaurants not nice. We walked to Perissa beach(took around 30 mins). Lovely beaches with lots of food choices. Take the bus to Fira, book a table and watch the beautiful sunset. If we ever visit this island again we would stay in Fira or Oia.
