This wonderful hotel is located in the beautiful tourist resort of Argassi, in the southern part of Zakynthos. It is situated close to the beach, while Argassi centre with all its bars, restaurants, shopping and entertainment options is just a few steps away. The airport is to be found some 6 kilometres away and the neighbouring city of Vasilikos is just 4 kilometres away. Ideal for families travelling with children, this complex offers accommodation units with 2 separate rooms and twin/double rooms that can accommodate up to 2 adults. The well-maintained outdoor complex offers a swimming pool, as well as a sun terrace with sun loungers and parasols. Those arriving by car can take advantage of the private parking and a poolside snack bar is available for guests' drinking options. Those needing to stay connected will appreciate the Internet corner.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We agreed that this is more 3* than 4*. The rooms are quite basic, but comfortable enough. Unfortunately, despite messaging the hotel through their website after booking, to request quiet rooms, we were given rooms next to the busy & quite noisy road. With a late night bar opposite also, we were glad we brought our earplugs (standard for us when staying in hotels!). It was noisy until quite late & then again from early, but our earplugs mostly did the trick. The balconies are small & with us not having the best view, plus the noise, it put us off sitting out as much as we would. Our room also had an unpleasant sewer type smell from the bathroom....if we were staying longer, we'd have mentioned this & asked to move rooms, but we put up with it. The hotel reception areas & grounds are very nice & the staff are lovely. Very friendly & always wearing smiles when your eyes meet. A big choice of bars & restaurants especially locally. We ate at a different place every day & every meal was excellent. Hotel breakfast was basic, but OK. Just 1 juice & 1 hot drinks machine caused congestion at times, but nothing you cant deal with. Overall, pretty good value for money for our 1 week stay, family of 4, 2 rooms. I'm sure we'd have been much happier with a sea view room...opposite side of the hotel to the busy road.
We stayed at Zakantha Beach Hotel for two weeks in August 2026, and we were extremely satisfied with our stay. From the moment we arrived, we found the staff kind, helpful and welcoming, and the entire hotel was exceptionally clean and well maintained.
Our room was cleaned every single day, and we were genuinely impressed that the towels and bed sheets were also changed daily. All of the hotel areas, both indoors and outdoors, were spotless and very well looked after.
During our stay, the air conditioning was included free of charge, which was especially appreciated in the August heat. The only additional costs we had were €8 per week for the room safe, which is optional, and €10 per week in taxes, payable in cash.
The hotel also has a lovely clean sandy beach. Sunbeds on the beach cost €10 per day, but there were plenty of sunbeds around the pool, so we only paid for beach sunbeds once. That was actually our own fault because we arrived late that morning! 😊 If you want a particular spot around the pool, I would recommend getting up early and putting your towel on a sunbed around 8–9 am at the latest.
Breakfast was also very good, with plenty of choice. There was fresh watermelon, different kinds of dried fruit, Greek yoghurt, several types of eggs, cakes, small croissants, coffee, tea, juice, water, cornflakes, sausages, different types of bread and jam, cheese and salami. There was something for everyone, and we enjoyed starting our mornings there.
Overall, we had a wonderful and relaxing two-week holiday at Zakantha Beach Hotel. The cleanliness, friendly staff, beautiful beach and well-maintained facilities made our stay very enjoyable.
We would happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable and well-run hotel in Zakynthos. 💙🇬🇷
This is our second day here, I am travelling with my son, he is 8. Overall the hotel is nice, as we all know 4 stars in Greece is almost 3 stars in other places, so I did not had much expectations. But, hotel policies are not really adapting to reality. They provide you only one key card no matter of you tell them that situation is not like that, you may need to go out of the room for something and you need the key as somebody can sleep inside, but no…they are to afraid that people will leave air conditioner open during the day while they are out that cannot adapt to special situations. The rooms are ok, but…the ones with the view on the main street are horrible, if you open the balcony door the noise is terrible, trucks are passing, motorcycles…horrible. Again, I know that hotel is fully booked and all the stories about this but they should be able to think and not provide those rooms to families with children, as children do not usually sleep with the air conditioner open. Anyway, I cannot rate more than 2. Personnel is nice, smiling, the pool is nice. They have their on small beach but they charge the sun-beds, they also charge you if you want the seif key( 20 euro for 7 nights)🙄. Hotel has a good location in Argasi.
Back after 14 nights in this hotel. Being going there for the past 10 years and have noticed a gradually declining service. Air con fee extra 7 euro per day. Room safe 2.80 euro per day with no key deposit. When in the past air con free and 20 euro return on sale key. Staff friendly though. In need of a refurbishment. Definitely not 4 star now
Fab for a girls hol as this was our 10th year. I say girls but this year we were celebrating all our sons' 30th birthdays. No they weren't with us🤣 I don't know what some people expect but hotel is clean, all staff friendly and helpful. You're only there to sleep really. Missed Armando this year but Cheffi soon got our humour. Plenty of choice at breakfast. Just wish they'd stop guests buying car food and feeding the cats 🤮 We always opt for the beach and don't mind sunbed charge. Outweighs sunbed wars by the pool. Love the location and choice of tavernas for the evening. All reasonably priced. We knew about tourist tax prior to going but get it's an add on some might not expect. Don't go by online travel agent guides.
