Poseidon Beach

Poseidon beach hotel was amazing ! The hotel is clean, staff are very friendly and caring. Location is very nice right infront the beach. The buffet had a variety of choices for everyone and we really liked it. The entertainment is fantastic. I recommend Poseidon beach hotel to anyone who is looking for an amazing holiday. I can’t wait for my next visit!

We recently stayed at the Poisidon hotel 30th July till 13th Aug. On arrival check in was smooth, however you have to pay additional costs for the safe, air con and wifi on top of tourist tax. We went to our room and was jot able to access this as the card reader was not working, we went back to reception and this was resolved quickly as we were given a normal key. The room was very basic with a smell of sewage coming from.the bathroom. The bathroom window was open and the view was of the communal stairs so this had to remain closed yhe entire stay unless you wanted an audience whilst on the loo. There was a head hair on the floor in the bathroom which stayed without paying rent for 4 days before the cleaner removed it. We were a party of 3 and had to constantly ask for a thirs towel. We are sure the sheets were not changed the entire stay. The throw was thread bare and needed replacing. The room could definitely do with a face-lift. We found socks under the storage from previous guests. We requested a quiet room via Tui amd were placed right by the entertainment. Oh speaking of, there is a rave next door dirty little secret which is on twice a week, the music cuts off at exactly 11 so this did bother us. Speaking of entertainment Yawn! Absolutely awful, bingo, disco and kids over taking the karaoke. One Greek night and one fire and faker night. No entertainment on Sunday. The entertainer though was great and it was the staff that made it. Daytime entertainment- stretching darts, zumba and volley ball. The pool is small and over taken by the inflatable zoo and kids/adults diving and bombing despite signs being there staimf not permitted. Pool area not policed or managed in any way at all. Now let's talk about sunbeds... signs stating no towels before 08:00 or they will be removed, if you adhere to this you will not get a bed and have the luxury of having to pay between €20-€25 for 2 beds on the beach. Sunbeds were all taken before 05:00 and we were advised guests were getting up at 03:30 to secure there spot. I can confirm that this happens as I too joined the early morning brigade. The food: its ok for the first few days but repetitive and bland apart from the pasta at the speciality cooking station in the evening this was the best pasta I have ever had compliments to the chef! We ended up eating out on our all inclusive holiday. The snack bat has a good variety of hot and cold food and my daughter lived off the hotdogs for the 3 square meals a day. The drinks again nice at first but cheap not able to stomach to much as became sickly. The soft drinks at breakfast were often not working and this also happened at lunch. The staff: These are what make the hotel, number 1 is George at the pool bar this is one amazing man, very friendly, works tirelessly and always has a smile, nothing is to much even when he is serving rude customers he remains professional. Massive shout out to George x All staff cover every department feom serving food to cleaning. The reception staff were always friendly. The entertainment manager was friendly and did his best with what he has. Would we return absolutely to the island but not the hotel. Recommendation go to Greecos restaurant best food ever and reasonably priced, the beef chimichangas starter is enough for 2 people as it is very filling and very tasty The country steak house on Greek nights Thursday and Sunday again food amazing and entertainment was fantastic if your celebrating an occasion let all venues know as they all go out of the way to make it personal. Another good venue is the pub with tribute acts on, Michael Jackson was a huge hit. I would most definitely with confidence give this hotel 1.5 stars, this is definitely not a 3.5.
