Think picturesque; think Gozo. Malta's smaller, quieter sister island is an idyllic haven – unspoilt and full of character. You can almost imagine running out of your hotel in the morning and straight into the cool, clear waters of the sea. And, at the Calypso Hotel, you can do exactly that.
Many hotels make a lot of their 'sea-adjacent' location; but the Calypso Hotel really is on the water's edge. The gentle sounds of waves lapping against the shore will carry you off to sleep and the play of the sunlight glinting on the water will wake you in the morning.
Blending classic and contemporary design features, the Calypso Hotel is a beautiful base for any holiday. That it's situated on beautiful Gozo on the shores of the Mediterranean, makes it all the more special.
As you'd expect, the views from many of the hotel's twin rooms are dominated by that wide open expanse of blue sea. And wherever you are in the Calypso Hotel, you're never far from a stunning view. All rooms are tastefully furnished and benefit from a balcony or terrace, so you can really drink in the perfect air. As well as direct dial phones and mini bars, rooms are equipped with colour TVs, but you'll probably be far too busy exploring the island or lounging on the sun terrace to switch it on much.
There's really so much to enjoy in and around the hotel. Gozo's shops and amenities are all within easy walking distance. And at the end of another sun-drenched day on land or in and around the sea, you'll return to the Calypso Hotel for a night of fine dining and entertainment.
With its spectacular coastline, its sandy beaches and its varied landscape, Gozo is truly idyllic. And after your stay at the Calypso Hotel, you may not want to go home. Still, there's always next year…
The Calypso Hotel occupies a unique position on the water's edge overlooking the shingle beach and harbour at Marsalforn. Many of the rooms and public areas of the hotel enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding sea.
Guest can also enjoy a great selection of facilities. The amenities of the resort are all close at hand and within easy walking distance.
The food and service is very good and the staff are superb, You shouldn't miss a Dinner while in Gozo, very highly recommended and very good value for money. The Head Chef gives individual attention to customers and that is highly appreciated.
Very excellent service. The room was very clean with helpful staff. The breakfast was served as a room service in time.Highly recommended...
The room view was very nice . Very well recommended hotel and very safe in this situation . A big thanks go to Mr Massimo
they were half empty and probably gave us their worst rooms with view into the backyard while on the other side there is a sea view. it was just after Corona and it was full of construction around the hotel. For month they would have time to finish this constructions and do it when guests come again...
Nothing has been invested in this hotel for many years. No style not atmosphere….
The room was very clean and spacious, the staff was very helpful and professional in their service which makes your stay a very pleasant experience. The food was delicious too. I recommend this hotel...
The head waiter together with all the rest of the waiters gave us an excellent service when we had breakfast and dinner at the hotel.
Very hot rooms. Air-conditioning switched to heat only and could not sleep with window open due to the noisy air on on the roof. Those at front with sea view complained of noise...
Beds very firm. Only ate once in hotel as food very poor and overpriced. Seafood risotto had 3 pieces of seafood and wild boar was so salty and was almost uneatable. Lots of restaurants close to hotel were good. Breakfast omelette good. Hotel staff were very helpful particularly the reception. Currently building work out front of hotel but not noisy at night
