Ulysses is a lovely place to stay. The rooms are nice, bright and clean. The staff are super nice and friendly and anything you need to get fixed, they will do it for you, to give you the best experience! They are connected with a nice restaurant and bar called FRONT...

Went to Front bar for a live music night. Excellent food - meat on the ribs fell off the bone! The drinks were refreshing and the music was great! Timothy was an excellent manager and ensured we were well stocked with drinks.
We are a family of 8. We had a 2 bedroom apartment and a room. The rooms are spacious and were very clean...
The furniture and deco nice and in very good state. The staff were very nice and helpful. Will stay there again.
Went there as a couple, and it cost us €100 for two nights w hich was the cheapest we could find in all of Gozo. The location is perfect only 2 minutes away from the sea and the staff is quite friendly.
The only downside is that the hotel underwent a refurb recently and it seems like the construction process has been halted and its only half done...
This is instantly obvious as the front of the building is still just bricks, which is unappealing. Moreover, we booked the most basic room (Room 202) i.e. no balcony just a double bed with an ensuite and a window. This window has a ‘view’ of the unfinished shaft and the glass is covered in concrete spatter. This also very unappealing. The building was looking unfinished allover including the ceilings next to the lifts which were cut horribly (see picture). This all hints to an element of disregard from the management.
With regards to the room, it is tiny … very tiny. But ut has all you might need, a nicely sized queen bed, an AC, a small wardrobe with hangers, a desk with tea making amenities and a small mini-fridge. The passageway around the bed is very tight and we had to jump over our suitcases each time to Move around as there isn’t anywhere to tuck the suitcase away, not even under the bed. The ensuite is definitely not made for a big person as the shower is small (on the plus side it cones with a shower gel dispenser) and the sink is a mini sink.
Unfortunately the power went out in all of Xlendi for a few hours during 22:00-01:00 on one of the nights we were there. The hotel remained without power as they had no generator, which is fine I guess, but they also had zero emergency lights or torches which leaves you feeling quite lost in the dark. The staff remained downstairs and we had to go out by the sea as it was unbearably hot. During the same night the lights went out again at around 4AM, and a night in Malta/Gozo without AC is quite a nightmare 😅.
We ate breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant ‘Front’ and it was very good and worth the money. We were also given two free drink cupons with the stay so we drank wine and played a few games they have there. Very nice vibes, in the evening they have live music and its overall a very chill environment.
Would I go there again? If I’m on a budget, yes. Hopefully in a year’s time the manage to finish the hotel and it would be a more pleasant stay. I would definitely recommend not going for the cheapest room if you want space and book through the website for the best deal possible.
