The Primera Hotel has the look of a perfect holiday hotel. With 82 rooms spread over 8 floors, it has a more intimate feel than some of Bugibba's larger hotels and the service is very attentive.
The beach is just a minute's walk from the Primera Hotel. The main Bugibba square is practically on your doorstep, and the shops, bars and restaurants are all close at hand. You're right at the heart of things here.
The Primera Hotel bridges the gap between the very small and very large hotels giving travellers another option – it's perfect for couples, as well as small families. In short, it is a wonderful holiday retreat.
Bugibba has so much to offer you. The distinctive pebbly beaches are perfect places to explore or to picnic on; and those large flat pebbles make a surprisingly comfortable sunbathing spot.
You can also sunbathe back at the Primera Hotel. The hotel sun terraces are nicely elevated, affording some wonderful views out over the St Paul's Island and the open sea beyond.
In between jaunts out, or spells on the terrace, you'll enjoy the calm of the hotel; its spacious communal rooms making it the ideal place to meet and greet and take it easy between outings. Do make sure you leave plenty of time for the buffet breakfasts and dinners in the hotel restaurant. Or, if you're rushing off to your next adventure, there is a handy snack bar too.
Guests at the Primera Hotel enjoy a balcony room, as standard, and, of course all are fully air conditioned to ensure a comfortable night's sleep. Rooms also benefit from satellite TV and direct dial phone.
With its enviable location, within easy reach of the sea and all the amenities of Bugibba, the Primera Hotel is a popular destination for holidaymakers. Behind its sunny façade is a warm welcome and a great base for your holiday.
The Primera Hotel occupies a central position in Bugibba just a couple of minutes walk to the promenade. The facilities of this modern hotel include sun terraces giving views of St Paul's Island and the open sea. The public rooms in the hotel are spacious, comfortable and air-conditioned and the restaurant offers buffet style breakfast and dinner. A foreign exchange is also available.
wasnt very happy with this place as the breakfast food was awful ate there only once went elsewhere for breakfast but the staff were friendly room clean thankyou didnt have any tea/coffee making just a kettle never got topped up.
I was told before I went not to expect much.. as Malta is a little behind the times.. Well it is but I personally loved the place.. The main fault I found was that our room was like a cave (#114)....
the window was onto a shaft(?) the kitchen & main extraction vent.. very very loud.. We asked to change rooms & were told to ask the next morning.. we did and same the next day.. we were only there for one week so I gave up.. We hired a table top fridge, 4 euros a day, we had to ask for a stand up fan as A/C was rubbish.. & a kettle.. no mugs or spoons so we bought some.. :-( Nice roof pool..shallow. Jan on reception is as helpful as she can be..everyone has a boss..
The beach was dark, gritty and rocky but very nice.. beautiful in fact.. the square is very very busy 24/7.. some lovely places to eat and benches around the centre which get used a lot by locals .. it's a lovely place. There are lots of glass and jewellery shops everywhere.. not too expensive for lots of things but you can pay as much as you want.. We visited the aquarium.. that was a walk I'll remember.. but level path all the way :0) It's a really nice place.. I can't remember how much to get in.. Around 12-15 euros per person?? We caught the bus to Mdina.. WOW.. now that's beauty.. We visited, by bus, Valletta one day.. both places need experiencing for yourself..
Bugibba is a town like any other so be prepared for everyday life..
All in all we'd definitely revisit BUT it'd definitely be self catering..
Have stayed a few times this year? 4 I think? Have had a couple of internal rooms and a couple of balcony rooms. All visits have been equally excellent. The latest room was excellent...
What I like is it's simplicity. The rooms are brilliant but basic stuff like the bed and bedding really comfy. Nice little kettle with cups etc Flat screen TV with a Movie Channel (Movie Max) which is handy I watches a few films. All cleaning is high quality with nice towels etc. Friendly really friendly staff especially Jan on reception. Professional and friendly. Just booked 2 weeks for 25th April and already counting the days. Recommended.
I Have stayed at the Primera for several years, I am going again in May 2020.The side sea view rooms are clean with AC and daily maid service. The staff are friendly and very helpful.I stay B&B and the breakfasts are self service and good.
