Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Lovely apartments with rooftop pool , bar and restaurant and also a downstairs cafe/bar which opens early for breakfast short walk to the waterfront and lots of bars and restaurants and a longer walk but doable to the Ferry for Valletta and Gozo , other boat trips and city sightseeing tours .
Overall experience of this hotel was amazing. Spotlessly clean, staff polite and friendly. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. We had a couples massage and I must say it was the best massage I have ever had, felt so relaxed I’d like to give a special Thankyou to Karen and Alexa, the only negative I could say was the road noise and noise from the local pizza restaurant, we both found it difficult to sleep before 2am. Apart from that it was great stay.
The hotel was as good as it could be within the restrictions of the site. Many balconies looked at each other and a blank very high wall. The area was a bit scruffy. However the accommodation, food, facilities and staff were all very good.
Hotel is situated in a good area for amenities and a 10 min walk into Sliema. Rooms large, comfy large bed. The most disappointing thing was the sound proofing. The re is open concrete on the roof of the room so you can hear people walking and it sounds like they are in the room with you. If they dropped something, we thought someone was in our room and we didn’t sleep well at all because of it. We mentioned it to reception but were told all rooms were the same. Staff really pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was good, enough choice. Pool area is fine, we only used it once. The beds are very close together and the drinks are really expensive compared to outside the hotel which is a shame. All in all, a good hotel, value for money is fine, but we wouldn’t stay again due to the noise in the room.
Stayed at the Grand Suites for one week. Lovely hotel, rooms are spacious, clean and tidy. Breakfast is good with a range of cooked items and the option of continental. Staff are pleasant. Spa area is lovely, only downside was it could do with a bit of a clean. The location of the hotel is a short walk from the promenade where there are plenty of shops and restaurants. Overall fab trip and would definitely recommend staying at the Grand Suites.
