I stayed here with my partner at the beginning of October unfortunately only for a week, it was excellent and a great find, yes it is quiet here but that's what we required, all inclusive was better than we expected
My wife and I stayed here in the last week of September/1st week in October and found the place to be absolutely excellent. The Staff in all areas throughout were wonderful and very helpful. There are three different Bars, one on ground floor, one at the Pool area and one on the first floor. All are excellent and serve different Cocktails in each. The entertainment was on the first floor with different acts every night and all absolutely brilliant...
I can't think of the individual names but there was a lady singer on Saturday night who sang in both French and English who I would class as X Factor material. An unbelievably powerful voice and totally professional. Ten out of ten to all. We arranged a Car Rental from the Hotel Reception with their Rental Partners and it was perfect at €35 per day + Insurance. My passion is Scuba Diving and there is a Dive Centre on Site ( Divevision) which was fab (subject to a separate review) and they had DPV's to rent which of course I had to do. Although I did the license for these many years ago, at €6000 to purchase one I have never had the opportunity to rent one since. Most Dive Centre's cant afford to buy these. We also were impressed that we were able to keep our room on for the full day of departure at a cost of €40. There was a blonde Scottish Lady on Reception who seemed to be a Management Figure who arranged this. Unfortunately I can no longer read name tags without my Glasses so couldn't see her name but the Hotel will know who she is. Just one small thing to be aware of though. The Lifts. There are two and there is clear signage inside the Lift and outside it also that states one Person or Pod at a time which is perfectly reasonable. However people mostly ignored this and piled into the lift anyway which did lead to some confrontations and upset people. Some chose to get out if too many got in but this is not in any way the fault of the Hotel, its more of a common sense/cop-on issue. Re Location I found it very good but a bit quiet which suits us. Its about a one hour drive to Valetta the Capital but about a five minute walk to the Ferry which goes to Gozo which we travelled to in the rented car. Finally I would recommend this Hotel highly and would return here again in the future. God, I had forgotten how good it is to get away on a Sun Holiday having been cooped up for the last couple of years same as everyone else due to Covid situation.
Some might say that the location of this hotel is not ideal given it’s proximity to most resorts and attractions however this wasn’t the case for us. In our opinion we had the best of both worlds, a quiet resort with views of Comino and Gozo islands and within a ten minute walk to the Gozo ferry terminal. The small ferry boats to Comino and the blue lagoon were opposite the hotel plus the Malta hop on/off bus began its tour outside the hotel front entrance...
Local buses that started at the Gozo ferry terminal stopped at the end of the road with all single journeys costing just €2. Check in was quick and easy and although we arrived four hours prior to check in time we were given our AI bands and encouraged to relax and enjoy drinks and lunch whilst our room was being prepared. The reception/lounge was very comfortable and modern and the bar tenders were friendly and professional. The only issue we had were the flies that seemed to be around the lounge. The hotel buffet restaurant was clean and modern and the hotel ensured food was served to guests in line with Covid restrictions. Whilst the food was of good quality we personally found dishes repetitive and we did eat in the Italian restaurant a couple of times were the choice was excellent. Hand sanitisers were prevalent around the hotel and staff ensured guests wore masks in all public areas unless sat eating or drinking. All staff members wore masks at all times and the health and safety of their guests seemed paramount. The first floor had a bar with views overlooking Comino island and there was evening entertainment. There was also a small gift shop. We didn’t use the spa or gym so I can’t comment on them. The hotel has lifts. The pool areas had plenty of sun beds and parasols and food and drinks were available from the pool bar. It was a bonus for me that the pool contains sea water because I don’t like to swim in chlorine. The poolside toilets were clean and tendered to throughout the day. Our side sea view room was spacious and bright with a balcony overlooking the pools. There was a TV however for those that like to watch television in their room there weren’t any English speaking channels. There was a tea/coffee tray and a fridge which was great. The room safe was payable at reception and pool towel cards were available for €10 pp deposit refunded when returned. The bathroom was tiled however we found the shower area quite slippery when wet and placed a hand towel on the floor for safety. Be aware ladies, the hairdryer is one attached to the wall with the long tube and flat head so if you need a dryer that you can direct to a specific area you may wish to take your own. We cannot praise the staff at this hotel enough. The maitre D at the restaurant was brilliant and introduced me to the chef explaining my allergy to him. Reception staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable particularly Slava and Mary who assisted us during two incidents, one with return locator forms and the other when our pre booked transfer hadn’t arrived when it should have. We can really recommend this hotel and will use it again should we return to Malta.
I hope more variety of restaurants and bars. I like the room, really good views, the bed and the bathroom was ok. The bar was excellent...
The pool very big. But I think that is not an all inclusive is a full board
What a fantastic week here at the Labranda Riviera Malta. Beautiful hotel with everything you need. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff especially the girls at the bar...
All so friendly and helpful. Food brilliant and varied. Lovely serving staff. Room cleaned every day. This wasn’t our first choice of holiday due to restrictions it was one of only a few choices but safe to say we will definitely return.
