Holiday in Marfa, at the northern tip of the island, and treat yourself to some of the finest views in Malta. Certainly, some of the views from the LABRANDA Riviera Premium Resort & Spa are worth the trip on their own. The beautiful islands of Gozo and Comino can be seen just across the channel from the hotel, while the unspoilt sea views and idyllic countryside dominate the landscape.
Marfa is one of Malta's quieter holiday hideaways and rightly prized for its seclusion as well as its scenery. And many of its hotels are praised for their excellent spa facilities, the LABRANDA Riviera Resort & Spa is among them.
The LABRANDA Riviera Premium Resort and Spa is situated in one of the best-preserved and picturesque areas in the north of Malta, in a tranquil seafront location and with its own small sandy beach studded with majestic date palms, facing the islands of Comino and Gozo across a channel of blue shimmering water - simply idyllic! Its quiet location, comfortable rooms, 1000m2 Thalasso Spa, two spacious outdoor and one heated indoor sea water swimming pools, bars and restaurants provide the best that Maltese hospitality, culture and environment have to offer.
Guestrooms are luxuriously furnished and all have a private balcony and bathroom and offer a range of different views - open sea, land, side-sea or pool views. Facilities include heating in winter and air-conditioning in the summer, mini bar (stocked on demand), hairdryer, satellite TV, direct dial telephone tea/coffee maker and safe (at a fee). FREE Wi-Fi is available in the rooms and public areas (limited download). Seaview and pool view rooms are available at a supplement.
The Hotel also has a PADI approved Diving School offering various diving packages to numerous dive wrecks and diving sites found in the vicinity.
The LABRANDA Riviera Premium Resort is ideal for exploring the islands with the Gozo ferry being only two bus stops away. Boats to Comino are available from the quay in the front of the Hotel (summer months only). Malta's largest blue flag sandy beach and the town of Mellieha are also just a few bus stops away. A regular public bus service connects the resort to other towns including the capital Valletta a World Heritage City, the fortified Medieval city of Mdina, the Three Cities and Grand Harbour area, the shopping and entertainment meccas of Sliema and St Julian's.
The right combination of hotel and location is a special thing; the LABRANDA Riviera Premium Resort and Spa at Marfa is a great example. It's a hotel that works in harmony with its setting to give you an unforgettable holiday experience.

This 4-star resort enjoys a quiet location in Marfa, in the pristine countryside with an unspoilt shoreline giving fantastic open sea views; ideal for a relaxing holiday. The Gozo ferry is only 1km away and the bus stop is just 100m away from the hotel.
Labranda Riviera & Spa in Malta is a great place. I have stayed there already twice with my family in recent month and will surely return on first opportunity. The location is perfect, as it is right on the sea coast, away from city and the traffic...
The bus stop is 200 m from the hotel. By X1 public line you may get to the airport (2€/person in high season). In a walking distance you will get to a ferry port from which you will get to Gozo island. The place has a very clean and well managed. I extend highest regards to the hotel personnel who have been very professional and supportive, especially Manuela - Guest Relations Executive and Hristian at the reception. See you soon!
Went to the Lebanese restaurant tonight and disappointed that we were served the wrong mains with no gap between starters and main. Then tried to charge us too much for the wine. Considering we had already paid for a meal included with our stay, but chose to forgo that , for another it was very disappointing ...
They should have given us a free drink or something to make up for these mistakes. Although covid must have affected things the service was disappointing and the evening meals were very samey and school dinner like. Itcwas difficult to get a drink at dinner, not enough staff and really they should be asking guests on arrival. It would have been nice to have salad choices and a better selection of starters, which were the same most of the time. The rooms were clean and the pool area good, but the service was disappointing
We enjoyed our stay, all staff friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Mileca from the reception! May hygiene measures in the Hotel. Modern and clean rooms with comfotable bed and slient ac. We liked the towels service at the pool...
Bus station near hotel, just few minutes to a nice sandy beach.
Rather belated review, having stayed in late February. Rather distracted by other events since! Having seen this hotel many times from outside, the opportunity arose for a week's stay at the end of February. The hotel was pleasant enough, but behind the facade, it was not as 'bright and crisp' as one expected. The room was adequate, with very little storage space...
Sea facing, which means 'North', and no sun, which in summer heat may be an advantage, but while sunny for our stay, the room was dull and quite chilly. Recent refurbishment was evident in places, not least on the toilet bowl, which still bore the manufacturer's label.(How well does that cleaned?).
Indoor pool was dull and uninviting, so although a keen swimmer I only used it once.
Outdoor pool too cold, with chilly wind blowing. Outdoor pool deck was filthy. My feet were black when I went back up to the room. Can't say I saw any evidence of cleaning the deck during the week.
Restaurants offered wide range of food. Maybe tried to provide too many options to cater for different nationalities, and perhaps not strongest line up for a traditional English pallet. Supposedly hot plates rarely were, so supposedly hot food was virtually cold by the time you got back to your table.
Lifts nearly always had queues. I hate to imagine what it would be like in peak season. Tried to find direct staircase to/from third floor, but found none. Access to stairs was appalling, with awkward doorways, and 'steps' to trip you in the doorway. Seemed you had to leave the stairwell on one floor and then find the stairs to the next. This all struck me as an extremely bad design, and can't imagine how it would work in the event a major evacuation.
Finally location. It is at the North of the Island, with little by way of amenities. There is no beach, although the large sandy beach at Ghadira Bay is only a shot bus ride, as is Mellieha Town, with plenty of shops and restaurants. Island sight seeing buses pick up at the hotel. Route bus stop is a couple of minutes walk, with services to Mellieha, St Paul's Bay, Valletta and Airport, or Gozo Ferry terminal, which is actually only about 15 minutes walk. Foot ferries to Comino and pleasure boat hire are situation opposite the hotel.
I stayed at this hotel last week we really had fun very nice hotel and good food .staff very nice and helpful especially the manager of reception lee will be back in 3 weeks thanks for everything ....
