Located on the North West corner of Malta, a holiday to Mellieha offers access to some of Malta's best sandy beaches including, one of the largest and most popular beaches on the island - Il Ghadira, more commonly known as Mellieha Bay.
The quiet town of Mellieha itself is situated on a steep hill offering holidaymakers spectacular panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea below, while the larger resort of St Paul's Bay is only a short journey away.
The climate is typically Mediterranean, similar to that of Southern Italy or Southern Greece. In the summer there is up to 12 hours of sunshine a day. Mellieha is located just an hour’s drive from Malta’s International airport. There are some popular bus routes that can take you from the airport to the area, however, you are better off renting a car if you’re holidaying in Mellieha. Those who wish to see another side of the Maltese Islands during their holiday to Mellieha can take a day trip to Gozo or Comino. The ferry port is only a short distance away for Gozo and there are plenty of Comino day trips by speedboat available.
