This is a lovely B&B, it is NOT or rather should not be a 4 star boutique hotel. We have stayed at several described hotels, therefore our expectation was for a friendly, welcoming arrival with a welcome drink (quite the opposite with the dour faced chap on reception and the tepid water in reception) we then expected to be taken to a room that fully fits the descriptions depicted on the website..not a room that likens more so to a chain motel, with a bathroom door that can’t open fully because the bed is in the way, or with a pealing headboard, or a bedroom window view of a grotty courtyard (see photo) or a lack of storage for a week long stay. We did request the next morning (to avoid dour night reception guy) and were given a free room upgrade to a poolside executive suite..which we gratefully accepted as was a huge improvement for our week long stay but by definition, was not a suite but a larger bedroom with en-suite..no lounge seating or complimentary water but did have a basic tea and coffee set up similar to a basic B&B.  There was nothing homely or anything to suggest we were in Malta in this otherwise super clean, modern renovation of a typical Maltese house that’s now a fairly well presented B&B….its just not 4 star boutique. Suggest staying in valetta as the area in which this “hotel” is situated is more Benidorm than couples retreat.

More nice B&B than 4 star Boutique hotel

Location is fine, not too remote. Biggest let off is the hotel behaviour and the scam they are running. My room was supposed to have a balcony as per my booking, but they gave us a smaller room with no balcony, and asked us to pay more to get the room you want. Another part is, this property boosts itself as 4 star, but pretty sure it’s between 2-3 stars. Pool at the hotel is the size of a mini truck. There is no one to help with your luggage, ie whole property is managed by 1 person at the reception, who will be away from the reception most of the time. 

It’s a boutique hotel and these are in abundance in Malta. We realised later should have booked a proper hotel instead.

Building beautiful.Reception needs staffing,ring bell but no one around. Cleaning staff and pool staff lovely.Bathroom door needed repairing.Man that checked us in was exceptional but unfortunately we didnt seem him again.Pool area nice but hard to get sunbed as some take them all day

Lovely hotel

Lovely hotel - close to St Julians and Valletta, we used Bolt to travel around.
Pool area is small but very nice for an afternoon dip.
The staff were super helpful, particularly receptionist Diego, who made our stay enjoyable and was always on hand to provide recommendations.

Lovely Stay

Lovely hotel super clean the rooms were spotless and cleaned daily, the bedding smelt fresh and the beds were very comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The pool area is small but perfect for a afternoon dip when you’ve been out in the heat all morning, some days we just wanted to relax all day so we got up early at breakfast time to ensure we had a lounger. The area wasn’t too far from restaurants, about a 10-15 min walk. We used Bolt taxis ( very handy for getting around)  especially in the heat.  We also used BOLT to get back to the airport when we were leaving because it was cheaper but I would recommend getting a hotel transfer when arriving to save any confusion.  A couple of constructive comments would be maybe an anti slip mat in the shower as I found the floor slippery when soapy & maybe the Juliette balcony  could be cleaned occasionally as there was a lot of pigeon droppings there when I was hanging out swim wear to dry.  Thank you for an enjoyable stay we will recommend you to anyone travelling to Sliema.
