My husband and I stay here the first week of march for 2 nights(managed to organised babysitters for 4 kids which has never happened before) we had a fantastic time, a few things let it down like the bottled coke was flat and even tho I told the barman he still used it for my next few drinks! Having to sign for every drink and meal was a pain! At some point over our time there £70 of our English money ended up in a drawer on the dresser, neither my husband nor myself remember putting it there but I seen it when using the hairdryer. Checked out got home safely to realised the £70 was left in the drawer in the hotel, I rang reception to be told they didnt know anything and they would ring me back the next day, I had to ring as I hadn't heard anything spoke to a lady that said she would check with house keeping, she rang me back to say the cleaner had found £20! I said that's not right 3x £20 were folded together and 1 £10 on it's own she said she would double check with housekeeping! That's when a rude woman rang me to say housekeeping found £20 and they would post it to me and if there was anymore money missing the next holiday makers took it!!! 1 month later no money posted back! I know with covid-19 things are difficult but I had £70 stolen and came home to no job so really needed that money. Would of returned but not now and wont be recommending and will let everybody know there is a theft at the preluna!!!
Enjoyable five night break in Sliema with my partner
Our room on the 10th floor was with a Sea View and Balcony sadly building work was being made on the outside of the hotel although noise in the day was minimal I was slightly miffed Travelrepublic or nothing was said on arrival
The spa included was clean ,tidy and staff were constantly using hygienic sanitation sprays on handles , doors and stair rails with regard to Coronavirus issues
Lastly a little personal issue was staff smoking at the front of the hotel lobby with cigarettes and vapes which is not professional in my eyes and doesn't look good when guests arrive , maybe giving staff somewhere else not in the public eye
Overall a nice property nearby to bars , shops and restaurants
I booked on my brother's behalf. As soon as he come in, they ask for the bill. He spent 4 days , and the first and third night he could not sleep because the air condition was broken...
Very bad service.
Having visited the Preluna many times before we expected better than we received, we booked a high floor , quiet room, given a 7th floor corner room seaview, room good size, good bathroom, but sadly this room a 2 extraction fans which came on automatically at 8.45am until 6.40pm, very noisey if you wanted to sleep in or spend time in the room, we made the best of it not wanting to complain, but by the start of the week couldn
t stand it any longer, asked receiption if we could move rooms, sorry no rooms available, what the Preluna are not telling you before you book in is that they are refurbishing the rooms so lots are not being used, due to the noise, try on friday we can offer you something then, our real low point was wednesday, when although they said they didnt have a spare room the builders started to relace the bathroom in the next room, there was banging, chipping tiles off the walls and an electric tile cutter being used, we visited receiption again to ask to move,to be told again no spare rooms, asked to speak to the manger, he was busy ! Noami on receiption said they would stop work from tomorrow till the end of our stay, they worked till 5pm that day ,As guests never felt so undervalued brought me to tears and if i had the funds would have checked out of the Preluna and gone elsewhere
We saw afternoon tea advertised in the skyroom, friday, sturday and sunday from 2.30pm, checked with receiption whether we needed to book, they said not, we havent seen the new look skyroom as the last time we stayed it was undergiong a refurb so looking forward to it, went up on Sunday to be told by a most forthright, almost rude guy am guessing he was a manager that afternoon tea was friday and saturday only, we said we had seen the sign on the notice board at receiption and even asked at receiption to which the reply was they dont know what goes on up here, so we left and didn`t return , told reception, 2 days later a new notice was on notice board with new days but the old one was still there so i hope no one else gets the treatment we had.
The preluna is a hotel with good location and the kitchen staff and waiting staff produce fab food and service, martin the barman makes a great cocktail, hats off to these people,
Sadly the mangement seem to be intent on updateing the hotel for customers to come and not valueing the ones currently staying in there hotel or returning customers, i would say put yourselves in your customers situation and say would you like it
Sadly although we have stayed many times over the years and been very happy, but makes us sad that we will never return to the Preluna again
The staff were really nice, was super clean, the views are amazing, the amenities are really good but the food was not really good and no tasty :/ also the WiFi didn’t work properly and that was disappointed a bit.
