The capital, Valetta, just to the south, is a doorway to Malta's rich cultural past and is one of those must-visit destinations. Sliema itself brings you the very best that modern Malta has to offer, a rich, vibrant array of activities for the active traveller and the sun seeker. Get out and enjoy swimming, snorkeling and adventuring or make the most of al fresco dining and good companionship; Sliema is the place to be.

So what's on the agenda? Perhaps a quick dip in the outdoor pool (open from May to October) or even a couple of hours in the hotel leisure centre, complete with indoor pool. Then as the day heats up, how about a spell on the sun terrace, followed by a cooling drink at the bar?

Then there is the spectacular rooftop mini golf course, also a roof terrace Bar & Grill area where you can enjoy the sunset whilst sipping on a cocktail, a gym and the Preluna Hotel and Spa's very own diving school to enjoy. All followed by a meal in one of the restaurants or the Japanese Restaurant.

As well as all of that, the Preluna Hotel in Sliema is famous for its Fell Good Wellness Spa*, with heated pool, whirlpool, sauna and beauty salon; massages are also available to ease away all the stresses of life before your holiday!

Overpriced for what you get

Well what to say: It is the cheapest hotel around in Silema, however with a price of 100€ I do expect a certain standard It is a 4 star hotel and the food (breakfast) is really bad. Not fresh and always repeating itself.

Clean and comfortable

Review by JSOFLEE Gosport, United Kingdom

We had a nice room clean and lovely sea views We were breakfast only which was buffet and very good choice something to suit all tastes. All staff very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our stay...

Some areas a little tired but clean and tidy. Disappointed with Sky restaurant and bar and looked expensive compared to elsewhere so didn't stay.

good to be back at the Peluna

Review by richardmills2020 Bristol, United Kingdom

I have stayed here many times and it was good to be back for 6 nights for a work trip. As previously, the staff friendly and highly efficient. My room had a sea view, was comfortable, immaculately clean and well equipped...

My one dinner at the hotel was not great - maybe I'm too fussy and the busy, noisy, dining room made it a quick eat and go occasion. Breakfast was good if busy times avoided. I did have one concern about a dog in the adjacent property which was left unattended, was clearly distressed and was barking for prolonged periods of the day and night. Front desk said this had been reported several times but police did nothing. Thought management should do more than simply shrug this off as this is an animal welfare issue, which also impacts on the comfort of hotel guests. I was informed by front desk there had been many complaints. I would also strongly advise the management to step outside the hotel and take a look at the frontage from across the road. The empty shop at the entrance is an eyesore and creates a dreadful and misleading first impression of this hotel. I was advised that it had been let and would eventually be occupied but in the meantime....?

Incredible once you get your head around the layout!

Review by ryangbridges Heckmondwike, United Kingdom

On arrival we were talked through the package we had booked, and shown to our rooms after a welcome drink of orange juice. The gentleman that helped with our bags left a sour taste in our mouths when he demanded money for carrying our bags to our rooms. It was slightly confusing locating the main restaurant initially, as the first floor wasn’t accessible from the lift.

After that, we enjoyed every single moment of the hotel! The facilities were fab - the staff were so polite and chatty (well - at the bar at least).

The main restaurant has some incredible options - very much above average range!

We would love to stay again - such a great time.
