Clean, friendly, quiet, comfortable, helpful staff and good breakfast
We arrived at the hotel at 2pm, check in time, to be told the rooms were not ready due to water problems. We came back at 3pm and were able to check in. Reception staff were very apologetic and helpful. Rooms very nice and bed comfortable.
The next day no water. We decided to go to the beautiful pool pictured on the website! This pool is actually across the street and services all ST hotels. It was like a public swimming pool.
The water was disgusting and there were hundreds of people crammed into the space. We were surrounded by smokers, vapers and lots of very loud young men who had no spatial awareness!
This was not a pleasant experience and we specifically chose this hotel because of the pool!!! We were very disappointed.
The staff. Unfriendly. Got to our room. Couldn’t describe the smell. We turned the air con on, went to dinner. Came back, It was off. HOT and the smell. The toilet flush plate broken. So when you push the flush it runs for about 20 mins. The room phone didn’t work. When I walked down to let them know. They were annoyed and did nothing. Use the flush wisely when you have little kids trying to sleep for an early flight. Should have stayed the extra night in the nice Airbnb we had. One of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Wasn’t cheap either.
We had a wonderful stay at St Azur Hotel and were impressed by the excellent value for money. The location is fantastic, with plenty of restaurants, cafés, and eateries nearby, and the promenade is just a minute's walk away.
The hotel is very well connected. Airport bus links are only about a four-minute walk away, while ferries and boat services can be reached within ten minutes on foot, making it easy to explore Malta.
The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the breakfast offered a great variety of options each morning. A major bonus was the complimentary access to the Aqualuna pool, which was a fantastic addition to our stay.
The staff were outstanding throughout. They were highly responsive to our emails before arrival and equally helpful and welcoming at reception. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations and was an absolute bargain for the price we paid. Highly recommended.
After reading the reviews, I was apprehensive about this hotel. My expectations were low. I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Positives. Position of hotel is great, easily get to pool, buses, restaurants. Hotel room was spacious, had a fridge, kettle and was clean. Breakfast was usual items for hotels. Staff are friendly . I asked for a high floor and room with side view over harbour, which was accomodated Aqualuna pool was lovely. Always got a sunbed. Negatives Outside hotel road closed due to ongoing works, made it difficult for taxis etc to find. Towels are threadbare. Reported an issue with toilet 4 times was promised it would be fixed(never was) On leaving had to wait for pick up in lobby asked for some water was told there was a shop nearby, even though the staff had gone into breakfast room to get glasses of water. Could put a vending machine in lobby. Overall it is good value for money, we enjoyed our stay.
