Classic elegance, rich furnishings and a unique, boutique style elevates the Victoria Hotel in Sliema to one of Malta's finest places to stay. It has a timeless elegance to it, and a traditional service ethic too, so you'll always be very well received and impeccably looked after.
Located in an elevated position on a hill in the heart of Sliema – one of the favourite destinations for holidaymakers – the Victoria Hotel is only a short distance to the seafront promenade – this is where Sliema lives and breathes – in its spectacular coastline, its array of shops and entertainments, and its friendly people.
As well as giving you the opportunity to explore Sliema, and the rich cultural heritage of the nearby capital, Valetta, the Victoria Hotel offers you every opportunity to relax. Benefiting from a quiet location and superb spa facilities, this is somewhere you can really take things easy.
Every care has been taken to make the Victoria Hotel spa as enticing and as luxurious as possible. Spread over two floors, its facilities include a freshwater indoor pool and an outdoor pool, as well as sun terraces, saunas, steam room and treatment rooms offering a wide range of holistic wellbeing treatments. You have no excuse not to feel utterly relaxed.
The same attention is given to guest's rooms at the Victoria Hotel. They are all fully air conditioned and come with extensive facilities to help you feel at home, including satellite TV and radio, direct dial phone, minibar and Wi-Fi is available at a fee. Rooms are dressed in classic Mediterranean blue or vintage mahogany and all feature en suite bathrooms too. Please enquire if you are interested in upgrading to a balcony room or suite.
Even the restaurant menus are geared to your wellbeing, with a new healthy eating option available.
At the end of the day we do recommend a visit to the intimate Penny Black Bar, to luxuriate in the exquisite armchairs and while away the evening. Perfection! Like Sliema, the Victoria Hotel manages to give you a little bit of both sides of Malta. In its refined setting and furnishings, you get a taste of the great devotion to hospitality and a hint of the past; while its facilities bring you right up-to-date.
The Victoria Hotel is a superior 4-star hotel, located in quiet peaceful surroundings, situated in the heart of Sliema and a few minutes walk from the popular and picturesque seafront promenade.
Sliema offers excellent shopping, open air cafeterias, restaurant and bars and is only fifteen minutes drive away from Valletta.
I cannot thank the hotel's staff for both the Palace and Victoria enough for making our holiday a memorable one. We stayed in room 732 which is a newly refurbished Executive Suite and it was just simply amazing!
The room is very modern, spacious and very clean. The room is huge and it can easily be used as a family room since it has 2 large double beds included...
It also has a very spacious lounge area with a sofa while also having free tea and coffee making facilities which one can enjoy. The room also has a large balcony which includes a private Sauna which is an amazing touch to the room!
All the staff were very helpful and a special thanks goes to: Charles, Dorianne and Shawn at the front desk were they helped us out and went out of their way to make sure we had an amazing weekend.
A special thanks also goes to Mark, Lawrence, Jovin and Martin working in the Talk of Town and also in the 9th floor Pool area.
We spent most of our time at the roof top pool were the view is just amazing and the food was also delicious. Even our 7 month old daughter enjoyed it very much and she can't wait to come over once again!
The hotel is taking Covid-19 pre-cautions very seriously and housekeeping are working around the clock to make sure that everywhere is spotless and safe for everyone. One can easily see that all public areas are kept pristine and also cleaned multiple times. This made my family feel safe and put our minds at rest because we are staying at a super clean property.
I cannot thank the staff enough for making our stay a memorable one and we will not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone since I cannot fault anything during our holiday.
Thank you very much and see you again hopefully soon!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Victoria Hotel in March 2020. The staff were very welcoming and we can't wait to go back.
We had two excellent rooms on the 6th floor with an interconnecting door which made our stay so enjoyable. Facilities were excellent, both in the rooms and in the dining room where we enjoyed a good breakfast each day...
The hotel is in a quiet street with easy access to the sea front and the harbour on the other side.
Special thanks to Mr. Charles Portelli, the front desk manager, for being so helpful.
We returned to The Victoria for our regular month’s stay, another lovely trip with perfect weather.
All the staff at the Hotel make you feel so welcome, from the room maids, the reception staff, the restaurant staff they are always so happy and friendly.
We look forward to our next visit to the Victoria.
Our second visit to the Victoria Hotel for a short break. We are also long term regular customers at the Hotels restaurants. As always food ,service and accommodation were once again excellent...
A big thanks to all the staff who when considering the current global situation that has hit the travel industry the hardest were performing beyond expectations. Special thanks to Charles for arranging accommodation at such short notice, Esther who served us breakfast and last but not least the waiting staff at the Rooftop grill who surprised us with a lovely gesture being my wife's birthday.
The hotel is grand, room is OK and clean, and the breakfast room is big and has many options. This hotel is in Silema side and parking is quite challenging. However there is paid parking area in the hotel itself. During my stay there I do not use this paid parking area though because I always manage to find the free parking slot in the street (around 10min walk from hotel). The distance from the hotel to Silema down town is not that far (around 15-20mins).
