It's no surprise that the Waterfront Hotel is one of Sliema's most popular four-star hotels. Its views, its facilities and its idyllic harbour-side location put it top of the list for many holidaymakers. Added to that, you've got your pick of shops and nightlife, clubs and bars, cafes and restaurants, all within easy striking distance of the Waterfront.

And don't forget comfort. That's top of the list here where spacious twin and double rooms are kitted out for cosy downtime. All rooms come with cable TV and radio, minibar, safe, hairdryer and direct dial phone. And yes, you can choose a room with a wonderful sea view for a supplement. The Local Area

The Waterfront is one of Malta's most popular 4-star hotels. Occupying a prime location on Sliema's seafront promenade it has excellent guest facilities and spectacular views across the harbour to Valletta. The local ferry connects over to Valletta regularly and is just a few minutes walk from the hotel. Close at hand are the shops and restaurants of Sliema and the lively centres of entertainment in Paceville (a short bus ride away).

Great hotel

The hotel is in a fabulous place right on the sea front. There is an indoor pool and Access to the pool across the road. Staff are all good and the Sunday brunch was excellent. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean to a high standard. All in all good value for money and the breakfast was good too.

The lounge bar needs customer service training. Nice hotel otherwise.

Review by zabaman Huddersfield, United Kingdom

The room was comfortable and clean, no complaints. The staff were generally friendly and helpful. Don’t bother with the lounge bar though, they are not particularly bothered about you...

Show you to a table then proceed to walk past you for 30 minutes without even taking a drinks order, never mind ordering food. On a separate occasion I was enquiring at the bar about cocktails, the silver haired bar man was impatient and rude and should be no where near customers. Also if you have been out exploring all day and would like a drink in the bar before going to bed, it’ll likely be shut, not particularly late either. If I had my trip again I would stay in Valletta. Location: Sliema is OK for 18-30 crowd. Walking either direction from hotel you physically walk through a number of bars, some with music blurting at you and fag smoke wafting you as you walk through. It is however cheaper to stay here than Valletta, the good part is that you can get almost anywhere cheaply in Malta, buses ferries and taxis (get the bolt app). So you are definitely not confined to Sliema

Fabulous hotel with stunning views

Review by Jo W Melbourne, Australia

Stayed 5 nights and loved my choice. Opted for a room with sea view and well worth the extra expense. Modern, fresh and clean rooms, all staff were friendly and professional from the private airport transfers, to reception staff and Amish who looked after my room...

Plentiful breakfast, good location, great views, helpful staff, all in all a perfect hotel experience. Highly recommend.

Lovely Hotel

Review by susie55r Oxford, United Kingdom

We stayed for 6 weeks in the above hotel, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. I am a disabled traveller and had a issue with my wheelchair, the maintenance man on duty came and had a look and did a temporary repair so I could continue to use my chair. The accessible room was perfectly acceptable to me and the bed was firm, just as I like...

The reception team are all wonderful, we were always addressed by our names from the day following our arrival, a nice little touch. All members of staff everywhere in the hotel are very helpful and considerate. The dining room for breakfast is busy but we never had to wait for a table. If you ask nicely they will cook boiled eggs and omelettes for you. The food is nice and variable and we never got bored of the selection on offer. The special lunches and dinners they put on on certain days are well worth the money, plenty of food and lots of variety on offer. The ferry to Valetta is a short walk away. There is a indoor swimming pool and hot tub for people to use and a outdoor swimming pool across the road at Aqualuna, you need to ask for a pass at reception. There is bar on the ground floor which sells food and other nights the restaurant is open. Plenty of seating in the reception area. There is live music in the reception/bar area on the weekend. We arrived as strangers to the hotel but left many friends behind.
