The location is in the pedestrianised district but superb location for all that Valletta has to offer, near to shops, bars and restaurants. The atmosphere is quiet but the manager and staff were very helpful and nothing was a problem from giving cruise advice, extended room to freshen up, booking and helping for taxis and the quality of the hotel. Our first room was on the front and was fantastic with no noise from the street below our second room was to the rear but again the quay and attention to detail was superb, breakfast had a wide selection of food and drinks. All in all the hotel was great VFM and we will have no hesitation in booking again for a future visit and recommending to friends and family.
Nice hotel, incredible location, superb staff. Met up with my college buddy who lives in Europe (I came from the U.S.) and we stayed here seven nights. Yes, comfortable bed, good shower with great water pressure, safe and fridge but oh the location! Valletta is crazy with people this May (many from cruise ships?) and having our lodging in the midst of old town in the pedestrian street area was heaven! Easy to come and go to the archaeological museum, Master’s palace, co-cathedral, all the great restaurants on the side streets and to the bus terminal when we wanted to go visit other sites. A lot of variety for breakfast and I appreciated replenishment of water and efficient housekeeping daily. And the staff! Biggest shout out to Julia who fielded our many and sundry questions with grace and aplomb. She called a village church about a festival we thought was coming up (i wasn’t) and saved us a lot of wasted time. She also arranged a tour of Gozo for us with Jovana (also a jewel) who acted as our driver for the day and took us everywhere we wanted to go. Everyone else at the hotel was fantastic also- from housekeeping to people keeping breakfast going. I felt like an honored guest more than a paying customer. And, did you know the sixth floor is a penthouse? Now that I have seen it - the view, the hot tub, the grand room- that’s where I want to stay next time!
Great small boutique hotel right in the centre of Valletta. Stayed for 4 nights in a larger room on 3rd floor which had an Maltese balcony, which means it's enclosed with windows. It looks onto the side street which we found to be quiet as traffic is restricted to certain times. The room was spacious and shower room was large with a fantastic shower. Room was also spotless with free safe and fridge. We were also supplied with free bottles of water. The breakfast area is small and next to reception but we never had a problem getting a table. Food was fine with hot and cold choices. The location was perfect for exploring Valletta and an easy walk to the bus station. Staff were friendly and efficient. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
The hotel is modern and great location in the middle of Valetta. The rooms are comfortable and the whole hotel is spotlessly clean. Reception staff are really helpful and friendly. Breakfast is not as extravagant as in some big hotels but there is an excellent selection and beautifully prepared When I asked Gluten Free bread was provided. Good range of toiletries provided. Room has two and three pin pockets also a coffee machine. Hotel does not have a bar but there are loads of bars and restaurants in a 2min walk. Our room had an opening window but the view is to a wall.about a meter away
Great hotel 100% recommend
Check in - simple process of details, passports and credit card. Room was ready on arrival.
Room was good size and clean as was bathroom. Shower was very efficient - I thought it would flood the floor but it didn't. Toiletries replaced as used. It was chilly in Feb and would have preferred a blanket to the quilt. Fridge was good and safe is free.
Breakfast - there are 20 tables for 21 rooms and we didn't have a problem getting a table and had the same table most days. Good choice of continental for meat and cheese, cereals, hot breakfast, salmon, fruit, eggs. Fresh juices and sweet treats. Coffee machine was a bit slow - cappuccino was too sweet for us and americano was good but small. Coffee machine is on all day for coffee if you are in the lounge.
View - we had one of the views of inner walls - which they call the inner courtyard - it is Malta which is heavily built up and not much can be done with layout of building. Still got to see what weather was like. Suspect all 01 rooms will be the same. If you had a front room your view was the hotel across the road. It wouldn't put me off booking again as everything else made up for it.
Location - turn left onto St Zachary St and 2mins you are at St John Cathedral. Ideal for all main attractions.
Guests - on the last night, guests in the next room were noisy arriving at 3am and leaving at 7am. Perhaps the hotel reminding guests to be courteous to others would be useful.
