- SU29 Boutique Hotel

In harmony with its humble setting, the Fortress City of Valletta, and close to the water's edge of the working Grand Harbour, a stay at SU29 is an experience in itself. A boutique hotel that inspirationally captures the spirit of its surrounding natural wonders to host guests with a warm welcome in timeless luxury.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Thank you to Annamarie, Pam and all the lovely team at Su29 for a fantastic week in Malta. Best service, best breakfast and hotel that I’ve EVER stayed in. The whole team couldn’t do enough - everything perfect. Super location, amazing views from our loft apartment. 20/10 top score!
We had a wonderful stay at SU29. The hotel is perfectly located, with everything in Valletta within easy reach. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive. We had the suite on teh op floor, which included a stunning balcony overlooking the Grand Harbour. However, the room itself essentially has floor to ceiling windows on one side, giving the most spactactular views across the roof tops. It didn't feel overlooked at all, and we spent our evenings looking out over the city from both the balcony and inside. I don't know what the other rooms are like - but this suite was absolutely sunning. Everything felt very luxurious, and it was a very special stay.
Very disappointed, terrible treatment. This hotel demanded an additional E500 to pay Booking.com as a new booking fee having already paid E500 booking fee. Plus the original cost of the stay Vert evasive and refused to confirm booking Avoid this hotel and Booking .com
Great location, we stayed in the harbour view room on the top floor which was very spacious. Staff were attentive and provided a great and friendly service. Be aware in the city of Valletta there is lots of noise with outside seating at most bars with very loud music, but all go quiet by 11.30pm. Rooms are looking a little tied so could do with some TLC, WiFi free but poor. Valletta is a great city to visit, the great location of the hotel and the care and service from the staff made our visit memorable.
A lovely boutique hotel very central and convenient in Valletta and everything is in walking distance. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast had limited options but very adequate. Staff werr welcoming and friendly.
Only couple of issues why i didn't give 5 stars. We've had a room with no windows and the air con in that room is not powerful enough. We've turned it down to 16c (lowest you can set) and we were still too hot and had couple of bad night sleep due to waking up at night for being too hot. The air con seems to be a small old unit so not too surprising it is not powerful enough. We've asked the receptionist but seems that there were nothing much they could do.
The other issues we've had was the room not being able to open. The staff told us this was due to the battery in the lock being low. They did fix this the next day for us so it didn't cause too much inconvenience to our stay.
Overall nice hotel and would consider staying again if air con issue can be resolved.
