We had a very good stay.. rooms are very clean. The buffet was amazing and staff is very helpful. The pool and water park were so nice for the kids. The atmosphere was great for families with young babies. The spa was nice as well.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Can’t Wait to Return for Our Third Visit! Its just 5/6 min taxi from Albufeira Old town/ beach. The kids club team are outstanding especially Pedro, Rafael, Maurico and Lara. They were absolutely amazing. 5 🌟 to them alone. You deserve massive credit in our decision to return. My son Archie absolutely loved these guys and was upset to be leaving them. Thank you all for all the work you do with the entertainment and games around the pool and hotel all day long. Your all a credit to the hotel. Hopefully we see you all next year. We absolutely love this hotel! All staff are amazing and friendly and great with kids. We have stayed here twice already and enjoyed it so much that we have booked again for next year, which will be our third visit. The hotel is beautiful, the atmosphere is lovely, and we always feel so welcome and comfortable here. It has become somewhere we genuinely look forward to returning to as a family. When you find a place you’re happy to book for a third time, I think that says it all! The only thing id say is night time show could have more attention and maybe change a little to involve the crowd more otherwise nothing else to give out about. Already looking forward to being back next year. Thanks everyone🙏
Ignore the negative reviews, okay maybe this isn’t your standard “5 star” hotel, but for a family it’s perfect. The facilities are amazing, entirely catered round children. You’re a 5 minute walk to the strip, and a short bus/taxi to the old town and the beach. The food in the buffet is lovely with something for everyone, and the staff are helpful and friendly. We chose to go all inclusive plus to have unlimited access to the Gali fun park, which our son who is 4 absolutely loved! I treated myself to a facial at the spa which was lovely and relaxing. The rooms are spacious, clean and quiet. ,This hotel was perfect for a family holiday, and we are considering returning next year! The à la carte restaurants are both beautiful, with super tasty food. Thanks hotel Jupiter, you made our holiday lots of fun!!
I stayed here for one week with my girlfriend and, whilst there were certainly some positives, the overall experience was disappointing and fell well short of what we expected from a hotel claiming to offer a 5-star experience. There were some genuinely excellent aspects to our stay, but these were significantly let down by poor hygiene standards, inconsistent service and a general lack of attention to detail.
Pros The room was excellent. It was genuinely one of the best rooms we have stayed in. The minibar was properly chilled, the shower and bathroom were clean, and all facilities worked as they should. The bed was very firm and not particularly comfortable, although this did not significantly affect our sleep. Overall, the room itself was a real highlight.
The All-Inclusive Plus drinks were fantastic. The quality was consistently good, with an extensive variety available. This was undoubtedly one of the stronger aspects of the package.
The à la carte restaurants were the highlight of the All-Inclusive Plus upgrade. The quality of the food was considerably better than what we experienced at the buffet. Without access to these restaurants, our dining experience would have been significantly worse.
The All-Inclusive Plus upgrade was worth it, particularly for the restaurants. If you are selective about food quality, the upgrade is well worth considering. Having access to freshly prepared meals in a more controlled dining environment was a welcome alternative to the buffet, where hygiene standards left a lot to be desired.
Cons Bar service was extremely inconsistent. Whilst some staff were genuinely excellent and made an effort to provide good service, others completely undermined that experience. On several occasions, ordering anything more complicated than a Coke felt like an inconvenience to the staff, as though we were asking them for a personal favour rather than simply using a service included in the price of our holiday. This is not the level of hospitality expected from a 5-star establishment. The inconsistency was particularly frustrating because it demonstrated that good service was possible, yet clearly not delivered consistently.
The wasp problem around the pool was unacceptable. There were wasps everywhere, not just the occasional one you would reasonably expect in an outdoor environment. Spilled sugary drinks undoubtedly contributed to the problem, and we appreciate that it is impossible to eliminate wasps entirely. However, what we found difficult to understand was the apparent lack of any meaningful preventative measures. We saw no obvious traps or other efforts to control the issue. Guests should be able to relax around the pool without constantly having to contend with wasps, particularly at a hotel charging premium prices.
Hygiene around the buffet was one of our biggest concerns. Flies were a persistent problem throughout the buffet area, landing around the food and drinks and disturbing guests while they ate. More concerning was the apparent lack of basic preventative measures: food was left uncovered, and we saw no obvious devices or procedures in place to control the flies. This created an environment that felt unhygienic and fell well below the standards we would expect from any hotel, let alone one marketed as 5-star. We also overheard several guests mentioning stomach problems. We cannot establish the cause of these complaints, but given the conditions around the buffet, the situation did little to inspire confidence in the hotel's food hygiene standards. This should be taken seriously, not dismissed as a minor inconvenience.
Our spa booking was cancelled upon arrival due to an unspecified "incident." Despite having booked a slot, we were refused entry because the spa apparently needed to be cleaned. We understand that unexpected incidents can happen and that cleaning may be necessary. However, the lack of clarity and the resulting disruption were frustrating. We also questioned why children were permitted to use the spa in the first place, as the other hotels we have visited have generally maintained adults-only spa facilities. The slot immediately before ours was not adults-only, which left us wondering whether the incident was related to children, although we have no way of confirming this. Regardless, the experience was poorly handled from a guest's perspective and added to our overall disappointment.
Overall verdict We did enjoy parts of our holiday, but we left feeling that the hotel offered considerably less than we had paid for. The excellent rooms, quality drinks and à la carte restaurants demonstrate that this property has genuine potential. Unfortunately, these positives do not compensate for the shortcomings we experienced elsewhere.
The inconsistent service was frustrating, but the hygiene concerns around the buffet were particularly disappointing and, in our opinion, should be a priority for management. Basic cleanliness, food protection and effective pest control should be standard expectations, not areas where guests are left questioning whether sufficient measures are being taken.
In terms of value for money, we struggled to justify the cost. We are not particularly big drinkers and were not travelling as a family, meaning that much of the hotel's apparent appeal was less relevant to us. The hotel seemed much better suited to families with children and guests who make extensive use of the all-inclusive drinks offering. Whilst that may make it a suitable choice for those groups, it did not make it the right hotel for us.
We will not be returning, and we would struggle to recommend this hotel to couples looking for a relaxing, high-quality holiday. It may be a fantastic option for families, but couples should carefully consider whether the experience justifies the price.
Finally, if you are booking this hotel expecting a genuine 5-star experience, we would strongly advise managing your expectations. Based on our stay, we would rate it as a high 3-star or, at best, a low 4-star experience. The potential is there, but the service inconsistencies and hygiene issues need to be addressed before we would consider it deserving of a 5-star rating.
Overall, a holiday with some genuinely good moments, but one that left us disappointed with the standard of the hotel and the value for money.
We stayed for 10 nights at the end of July/beginning of August with our 9-year-old and 3-year-old and had a brilliant holiday.
We arrived quite late, around 8.30–9pm. When we checked in, reception suggested that we leave our suitcases with them and go and get some dinner before the restaurant closed, and they would arrange for our bags to be taken to the room. When we finished dinner and went up, the bags were there waiting for us, which was a really nice start to the holiday.
The room was absolutely fine for the four of us. Everything was clean, it was fairly quiet and we had a nice view overlooking the pools and water slides.
The pool area was excellent. The main pool was very lively with plenty going on, with people playing ball games, using inflatables and generally just enjoying themselves. There was also a smaller kids' pool and another pool where inflatables weren't allowed, which was nice for the younger kids. The pool bar was good, although it could get very busy and at times you could be waiting quite a while for a drink.
The water slides were excellent. Me and my 9-year-old had great fun on them and probably spent far too much time going up and down!
The entertainment team were also excellent during the day. They made a real effort to get people involved in the activities and the kids really enjoyed it – and quite often the adults did as well.
The food for me was absolutely fine. Yes, being all-inclusive and staying for 10 nights, it can get a little repetitive, but there was always a good choice and I certainly didn't get bored of it. At lunchtime we would either go to the snack bar or use the main restaurant, and breakfast was always nice as well.
All of the staff we came across were friendly and helpful.
If I had to find one area of weakness, it would probably be the evening entertainment. The area where it was held could get uncomfortably hot and personally I don't go on holiday to sit in what sometimes felt like a greenhouse! We didn't think the evening entertainment was particularly great and our kids weren't that bothered about taking part either. Some of the shows they put on were good though, and we did enjoy those. It certainly wasn't a major issue for us.
Location-wise, you've got shops and the main strip just down the road. I like to go for a walk or run early in the morning before the family wake up, and it was always quite entertaining seeing some people still making their way home from the night before! To be fair, they made a huge effort to get everything cleaned up quickly before most people were up and about. We used Uber to get into the Old Town, which I think was around €5. The Old Town is really nice with plenty of restaurants and the beach there is beautiful.
Overall, we really enjoyed our 10 nights here. We probably wouldn't return, but that's purely because we like to try somewhere different each year. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good family hotel, particularly with younger children.
For us, an easy five stars.
